  • We knew how to dance in the 80's

  • The 80s were an awesome decade. We had bad hair days and bad fashion sense, but back then: it was the "future" for Generation X-ers like us.

  • I've been looking for this song for about 15 years! i remember it on my first disco biscuit at a club and never got the tun outta my head since, can't believe i've found it!

  • The hairstyles, clothes, make up and accesories from those days were pretty cool.

  • Look at those antique TV's and computers. To think I am so old I remember when this was so trendy, futuristic and cool. Those New Wave one hit wonders were the best.

  • those were the days of our lives

  • Thanks to a friends xm radio, I finally got the title of this song! I had been searching for it for years. I even went into a Tower Records a few years ago and tried to hum the melody to the employee, I even included the laser effects....he looked like he wanted to smack me with a brick. lol

  • I miss 80's creativity!!!

  • Everything in the 80's was overdosed

    -overdosed make-up

    -overdosed hairspray

    -overdosed shoulderpads

    -overdosed clothes

    -overdosed rockstars

AND THAT'S WHY THE 80's ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    very very nice

  • I love italodisco!!!!!

  • they are canadian

  • This music is Italo disco!

  • how is it italodisco if there not from europe

  • It's more synth-pop than Italo-Disco.

  • Que de souvenirs.

    Les années 80 me manque

    Merci

  • cool

  • Why the fuck did you edit out most of the song? There's a whole bunch of catchy parts that were deleted.

Take this video off and repost the full version, scum bag.

  • Wow Polly Pucker is very sassy

  • This song was originally released in 1983 and came under the Italo Disco label although Trans X were actually from Canada. It was not until July 1985 when it eventually became a UK top 40 hit peaking at no. 9 at the end of that month. They did not release anything else in the UK but have some other similar style songs released during the early to mid 80's. The 2 Brothers did a 'Euro-Dance' version with 'Living In Cyberspace' in 1999.

  • Ah, fair enough. Which explains why I thought it sounded a bit dated: an '83 record that didn't hit the shelves till '85. Thanks for the info.

  • I had actually taped this off the UK top 40 in 1985 and at tne end of a song, the DJ on BBC Radio One said that it has been a disco hit for a couple of years. It just took 2 years before it eventually got re-issued.

  • I can't believe this came out in 1985! It was 5 years too late, all this stuff was over and done with by 1981....amazed it was hit that late in the decade.

  • 2 years later isn't that late, probably wouldn't work too good in...say 1989 lol, but this could be released today, with all the electropop/ 80's retro inspired bands.

  • I'd disagree. In the 80's, things were moving so fast that 1981 sounded VERY different to 1985. That was one of the best things about the decade, so many trends - unlike today....where things seem to linger around like an unflushed turd.

  • Like your terminology - could not have said it better myself.

  • Thanks! ;-)

  • LOL...yeah I know, thats why I love the 80's, so many different styles and trends, each year had it's own thing, you had your early, mid and late 80's all had their own sound, but still similar. stuff now all sounds the same.

  • Perfectly terribly and wonderful,

    The image of 80's techno.

    XD

  • Ya no se hacen canciones como esta...

  • Cool stuff!A real proof of the 80's music glory!

  • this song rocks!

  • Poly March en acción....Wow!!!!

  • track was made long, long time ago..but I am listening still.Well done!!!TransX will be unforgetablle & the one of my favourite tunes of the 80's

  • CLASSIC..

  • That is correct. Stop living the video, the video imitating life. If we imitate the media, we are in effect experiencing a a diluted and worn down version of social reality.

  • Man . . . that bitch can't dance. Still, though, very cool song.

  • we used to dance like that robot,in fact it was

the robot(nowadays ridiculous ) dance jajajajaja

  • Haha, WOW, what a vision the 80s had of how the future would look like...looking back at this in 2008 makes everything in this music video outdated and old lol

  • Song brings me back to the back yard parties in high school. Not sure of the video though.. If they spent more the 100 bucks, they got robbed...

  • High school memories !!

  • Oh, sh*t, this song make me feel how old I am. I haven't hear this for maybe 20 years and I have to find it in here, sh*t. Say whatever you want, I rather prefer this song from 1981, than almost kind of music of today.

  • very 80´s

  • Charlie Ivens is a nonce

  • this is so freaking cool, robotic song.

  • grande canzone dal tipico sound dei mitici anni 80 - quanti ricordi... grazie per il post

  • Gotta love the keytar player that uses his fist in sync with the drum machine sound at 0:18. He was right on time with that sound perfectly. Just love that bit. Funny, that's how I count the beats of my melodies, too. :) I love this Canadian based band, though.

  • HOT CHICK

  • That man is similar to Fancy himself...

Yes, I liked it very much when I was in the primary school behind so-called "IRON COURTAIN". But it is the first time I see the video. I don't like it, it's just a mix of KRAFTWERK, VISAGE AND NEW ORDER.

  • do you hawe somenthing againstb say

  • wow this song transports me to the future, I can't believe it was in the 80's, its sounds are too futuristic!!!.
