Deaf people like to be called what they like to be called, and no others should choose for them, and people should respect this.

I think it refers to the 10 minutes or so of Live Free or Die Hard that Kevin Smith is in. Smith said he saw a genious 10 minutes of Die Hard. The reply was "In your dreams."

the deaf guy totally called him out and was asking for it. kevin smith was treating the guy just as he would anyone else. to give the guy special treatment would be insulting. the guy may be deaf, but that is not an excuse to be an asshole. if you didnt notice at 1:13 the deaf dude basically gave him the sign-language equivalent of "fuck you." being deaf probably sucks, but that doesnt mean that you treat the hearing impaired as a different class of beings. you treat them as equals.

@cartoonist2000 naw dude. I mean, even without his fucking movies, without his family, without his fucking money, Kevin already has one thing going for him which that poor individual hasn't. The ability to hear. I understand the guy was being an asshole, and begging to get treated as an asshole, but still man. There has to be a moral code when you already have got so much more than some one.

@cartoonist2000 Being deaf wouldn't be all that bad. You'ld never get woken up by noisy neighbours, contruction etc. You get to learn a cool secret language...And you never have to listen to annoying fuckholes. Of all the "handicaps" in the world... I think being deaf would be the easiest to deal with. Every time I meet a deaf person their always so happy and confident. If I had to chose a handicap it would definately have to be hearing loss.

I sincerely doubt that going deaf would be easy to deal with for anyone who isn't born that way. I rather lose my legs than my hearing. At least then i can still listen to music to get my mind of my handicap.
