  • i don't see how people can dislike this video :( there's no crappy music covering the engine sound, the title matches the video, the car is fast as hell and doesn't have any horrid body modifications and if some immature people don't like it JUST because its a Honda, then why watch this video? it clearly says in the title "Honda"? the camera is good enough, the driver has some serious skills and balls! chill out people if you were a proper car enthusiast you would have some respect for all cars.

    but with some good tyres and suspension u will be ok, for d engine with 2 carbs was rly fast.if u mind to take one focus for si(d15 vtec) or zc engines(125hp both) or better sir,i-vt.i will go for i-vt aka ef9 when i got the money

  • @banzaiian With all the respect I dont think this car is made for the touge since it has spring rates of F18k R16k, and you can see how it dangerously jumps. It is a beast, that can beat a muscle car but it would beat more cars with spring rates suited to the bumpy track

  • @belmon125 maybe, but maybe these guys have big balls and put the cornering and rigidness before the safety aspect, they do spend a lot of time on this road so i am sure the focus of the car would be this road, but maybe the car was set up for a different track and this was just a quick video, but i do think this set up is probably the quickest way the car will get round here

  • @FamousDowsHD no dohc has more potential but sohc revs faster so in theory it can accelerate better but a dohc has more top end but any honda vtec is awesum i think i gots the only honda non vtec with my 97 accord v6 but i pick civics out my grill awesome.

  • @ywe Spreading misinformation on the internet.. it like it. Everybody and their grandma knows that DOHC engines don't just add extra two valves per cylinder. The biggest difference is it has two camshafts instead of one, hence the Dual OverHead Camshaft vs Single OverHead Camshaft. A majority of modern cars made during the last 20 years with SOHC engines already came with 4-valves-per-cylinder to begin with. And having 2 valves vs. 4 valves is a big difference, believe me...

  • @its all down to what you got in the bank, like say do a kswap min 5grand or b18b1 turbo 4 or less grand and faster than K, pre sure the b17 are weak over b16a, i think my dream set up would be a b16b built turbo with 500whp in a ek shell lol, bisi is a honda god, check out my ef hatch too

  • @iMaGiKDoTs I don't think it's worth swapping in something that's second grade, especially if you're going thru all the hassle to make it street legal in Cali. Might as well as go all out OR use what you already have. B17A1s are actually stroked B16As, and B16Bs are de-stroked B18C/C5s...imho the best setup would be the lightest double-wishbone equipped chassis with the strongest motor, in US that would equal to an ED7 with a K20Z1 swap.

  • @apexdna why a b18c5? and not a b18c jdm type r? and yea i liked the black but need a little bit of paint/bubble fix and it had some flake in it so im going to be painting it white in the summer!

By the time you make it street-legal in Cali, you'll be making the exact amount of power, regardless of what engine you use, be it B18C5 or a JDM ITR B18C, since you're required by law to run all your USDM emissions-related components anyways. It's a myth that JDM engines make more power than USDM.

    D16A6 vs. SOHC ZC - same exact engines, but ricers claim that the SOHC ZC cam will give you extra 10 hp, WTF? Even worse when you talk about SOHC VTEC.

  • @apexdna well the jdm b18c is Compression 11.1:1 and usdm is 10.6:1 aka = more power for jdm

Going back to D-series, the D16Z6 is a better overall motor out-of-the-box, but D16A6 has the strongest SOHC D-series block ever made, proven and proven again, AND since you can run bigger cams in the A6 I think it's a better motor than Z6, since VTEC cams are limited in size, am I correct? I don't want to turn it into an argument, but these are my .02 dollars...lol

I guess I could run a Z6 head but it would render VTEC unusable...

  • @iMaGiKDoTs The ED7 comes with a D16A6 already, so I think I'm better off with some head work and bigger cams, since VTEC cams are smaller...and they only work on the exhaust side anyways, right? From what I understand VTEC is only good for like 5 extra hp over a non-VTEC SOHC D-series, it's geared towards fuel economy more than anything, and since A6s are underrated from the factory (you can make 110 whp with just the basic bolt-ons), why even bother with a Z6 in an ED7 anyways.

  • @apexdna im sure you could get some killer vtec cams or something and give 19+whp no? and then if you had a built head you can rev way higher longer power band, like i said i dont no much about them yet.

  • @apexdna ahh makes sense, and i think i may do a lsvtec insted of ls turbo, b16a head itr cams spring retainers p30 pistons getting the full motor for 400 has blown crank and bearrings and maybe a mest up retainers and 250 for itr head should be able to get 200whp with
