@antwansswan why not? kelly's a huge fan of his, they seem to be friends since they toured together and did a duet on tour, and a big artist recording one of his songs will do him really well.

1. It's a good song, and hearing another great singer sing it will be cool.

2. It's kind of a form of flattery to him that she likes the song enough to record it herself.

3. It will bring recognition to the original version, as well as to Eric himself.
