  • From what i've seen, King Kong Buddy made a remark about Owen's death that was suppose to be a joke, which was obviously in bad taste. Just watch the Iron Sheik roast.

  • Kudos for Scott Hall- for sticking up for Owen.

  • Hall stood up for Owen, that was great

  • It's time to end this argument once and for all. The joke was made at a roast. Absolutely NOTHING is off limits at a roast. There's no topic that can't be made fun of. That's the whole point of a roast. In fact, the more risque/offensive/outrageous the jokes are the better. If you disagree, then you--like Scott Hall, apparently--just don't understand the concept. It's not crossing the line when there are no lines or limits.

  • Man...Razor Ramon has gained some weight.

  • SCOTTIE!!! you the man. you kids today...have no idea....

  • Can get a straight sentence out now that he's sober. I wish he would finally fix himself up and come back one last time.

  • To be fair, the comedian apologized when Hall was getting worked up. And Kevin Sullivan thankfully mediated things after Hall's reaction.

    Regarding the joke:

If the guy just mentioned Owen in general, that's one thing. I mean, I've read and heard that Owen had a reputation for being a clown. So, making a joke about his characters, moves, etc....that's okay.

But making a joke about Owen's DEATH, that is wrong!

  • Scott shoots straight nothing else to say

  • scott hall did the right thing

    he was intoxicated though..

i wish all the wrestlers the best i know life on the road is tough

  • Say all you want about Scott Hall, but as far as I'm concerned, he did the right thing. I realize he was drunk, but I feel he probably would have done the same thing sober. Yes, I get it, it was a roast, but how the Hell was what that guy said funny? He took a shot at Owen Hart, a man who died doing a stunt that he wasn't completely comfortable with. A stunt that cost him his life, his wife a husband, and his children a father. Again, how is that even remotely funny?

  • hit the nail right on the head.

  • Roasts are full of off color jokes, but I agree with you

  • Good on Scot, he did the right thing.

  • He was right for what he said, but he was intoxicated lol Some of those sober people didn't speak up.

  • Bill Apter and Iron Sheik #1! Scott Hall hack too!!!

  • Scott hall should go to Jenny Craig. He's looking a little chubby. Too many burgers and not enough exercise I guess.

  • Scott Hall turned 50 today :)

  • kinda sad, hes still acting like he has been ten years ago :(

  • yes and no...the drinking still seems to be going on, but hes calmed down a little. back in 98 he probably would have beaten that guy to death for what he said.

  • scott fif the tight thing!

    scott hall 4 life!

  • Man, if I was there, and Scott had jumped that piece of trash comedian. I would have jumped in there with him.

  • also Owen was good deasent person ,loving family man .alot of wrestlers have died in the past 20 years none of them were in his class.

  • Scott Hall was the only real man in the room!!!!! f everyone else Hall is a god and and KNOWONE DISRESPECTS THE HARTS.any wrestler that was there and didnt do a thing should never show there face in a locker room.bunch of f'n dirt bags nWo4Life

  • Scott Hall is just 2 sweeeeeeeeeeett!!! Seriously though, Hall did the right thing standing up for owen cuz the comment was uncalled for...if brett was there the comedian would of been knocked into next week!

  • God bless Scott Hall. He did the right thing.

  • IT WAS A ROAST! Do you people even know what that is??? It's where everyone gets together in honor of someone, in this case the Iron Sheik, and you tell dirty, offensive, and tasteless jokes. Watching a roast and expecting to not hear any offensive jokes is like going to a pro-wrestling event and expecting to not see any rednecks. It's gonna happen. Scott Hall made an ass out of himself.

  • yea a roast includes some funny and tasteless jokes but that was uncalled for. I mean i get what he was saying but he really disrespected owen hart and the way he died and there is no excuse in the world for that.

  • so its good to make fun of ppls deaths and the way they dies isnt it,,,yea sure...next ure gonna tell us jokes about 9/11 and how funny it was...u r one sick individual my friend.

This proves that Hall is a good person who needs fix his life, thats all!

  • So, you are fine about making jokes about wrestlers. Hell, humans. They lost their lifes doing what they like? Roast or no roast. It was very uncalled for to make a joke like that. They can make jokes about Sheik, but once someone goes out and makes a joke about a dead guy. It isn't funny. No one should think something like that was funny. It was a sick joke about a dead person. A family man never should die. He died doing the job of making someone like you happy. Hall did the right thing there.

  • there are certain lines you just don't cross...class and common decency should tell you that. how would you like it if your family burnt up in a house fire and someone made a joke and said you should have brought your family along to the roast but oh wait...they've already been!(?)i'm pretty sure YOU wouldn't be quie as passive about it then. scott hall made a point. unfortunately the fact that he was so hammered that he could barely walk killed it's credibility. i agree with hall 100%.

  • if bret was there he would of did the samething

  • If Bret was there, that guy would get stabbed.

  • he did the right thing no one else stood up to defend owen for that he deserves respect.

but he really needs to saught himself out.

  • I understand his actions concerning that very disgraceful and unnecessary "joke" about Owen, however the other incidents over that same weekend are appalling to say the least, particularly the one about him hitting on a woman in front of her husband and kids. Can't believe he went to rehab for nothing, damn shame.

  • I wish Scott would get his shit together and have one more run. I started watching wrestling again when he came back last year to TNA and I stopped watching after he no showed Turning Point. Looks like he put some weight back on but he looks alright

  • what's the disease he has? we always hear he has one but what is it?

  • im not sure what it is. But i remember when i met him and talked to him for awhile, he pulled out a prescription bottle of Prednisone. One effect of it, is it makes your faces blown up, likes Scott's is. Look it up.

  • Hall was right this time. He was right to say something but not in that fashion.

  • He did that to my teacher!!!! He choked my teacher Mr.Grahm. He is makeing mad money off of this. Haha wrong wat he did tho. and he told me the joke

  • yeah, you tell 'em Scott. Some of the comedians these days think they can get a cheap laugh at the expense of other peoples' misfortunes. Which says a lot about their own miserable lives. And forgive me for calling them "comedians".

  • hall 4 life

  • Razer callin it straight down the middle!

  • Well said Hall.

  • Hall rules wolf pack or Nwo ,hes one of the best ever .. .

  • love u scott still my fav

  • Scott Hall, Owen Hart, Shieky Baby i love you guys. but that jabroni who made the Owen Hart comment he will get his comeuppins one day! him and that Eric Simms HHHHHHAAAACCCCCKKK TTTTTTOOOOOOO

  • lol at this faggot trying to go for the cheap pop with racial remarks and shitting on a dead man. You got pussy written all over you. you wouldnt throw rice at a chinese wedding, you wouldnt throw a rock in a dark alley, sit the fuck down you're ass corny nerd who has never scored. So to release your anger you come on you tube and vent poor you. your dad must be mad as hell knowing his only son is a faggot. lol@you.

  • lol, all this coming from someone who in reality is probably a 6 stone geek with arms like string

  • Jeez you have some serious problems, but no balls at all. You anonymously post a misguided racial attack at a man who doesn't give a shit that you exist.

Face it buddy, you're talking to a brick wall.

  • You're 21; don't you have anything better to do with your time? LMAO. What a sad life you have.

  • The fact that we are commenting on this very subject proves you agree with Graham no matter how off color or EVIL the joke may have been! You see men like Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Jimmy Kimmel and I have to say Jimmy Graham arent afraid to cross a line to stimulate people and make them think!

  • I was there all weekend, and this guy is right on the money. Scott was heckling the comedian before he even made the Owen comment.

  • Even so Joking about Own Har'ts death is pretty tasteless. The shouldn't have done that.

  • Whatever you think about the joke or roasts in general, think about this, Owen Hart has been remembered more in the past 48 hours than he has in years! Remember wrestling, comedy and roasts are all forms of entertainment! There is no such thing as bad publicity! By the way Scott Hall hid in a stall in the bathroom from the cops! (It was rumored he had to flush something other than his career!)

  • You can bitch all you want but I believe that some other creative men wrote their own words in a document called the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights! The First Amendment provides protection to its citizens to express themselves without censorship or PHYSICAL ATTACK!

  • Give us all a break!! Have any of you left your parents basements long enough to actually go to a library to look up the definition of a Roast? All restrictions are removed from the roasters creativity! There are no lines that cant be crossed!

  • oh, it was a joke, oh well that makes it okay dosnt it?

i suppose if hed said "his career fell faster than the world trade center did when it killed those stupid new yorkers" that would be fine too cos it was a joke right?

the guy was an arsehole and if hed said somehting like that about a close friend of mine id have been a lot less restrained than hall was

  • I don't see why Scott's drinking problem has become such an issue amongst the comments as if just because he has a problem makes what he did any less valid. He stood up for a dear friend and out of all those people in the room he was the only one with enough guts to do the right thing and tell the "comedian" where to go. His " joke" was disgusting, tasteless and just because it was a roast should not be given freeway. Scott Hall did the right thing in my opinion.

  • hey YO!!

Hall was just sticking up for one his mates, who tragically died in 1999. Owen was a family man who worked hard on the road so his family could have a good life...he did not take drugs, steroids and like Hall said other wrestlers who have died had virtually did it "through their own hands" ....kick the comedians and Iron Sheiks ass next time Hall!!!!

  • I'm a wrestling fan and all but getting physical with a comic was probably not necessary.

  • As a former worker in the industry and a LONG time fan of both the Hart family and Hall's, I am dumbfounded that any1 stopped and didnt infact join in. For anyone questioning his actions just imagine your friend being killed and some punk comedian making jokes about it. If you didnt do something along the line of Hall's actions I would question your friendship. If this would have been done around the crowd i used to wrestle with this punk wouldn't have had a chance to run to the press.

  • i couldnt of said it any better than this^^^^^

  • Scott Hall is absolutely right you don't go ahead and make fun of someones death especially to a crowd who all loved Owen i wish Scott or someone kicked that guys ass.

  • wow, u must really feel cool talkin smack on da internet. ur probly sum zit face punk who is da biggest loser in ur school an u feel cool by talkin shit on here. heres to ya, pal. u need to get laid PRONTO

  • Hall was way out of line and embarrassed himself. For anyone to defend his actions is mind-boggling. I am not going to assume he was under the influence even though his actions and appearance hint that he was, but you have a 50-year-old man gesturing to his crotch and publically swearing and berating everyone in his path, and people are congratulating him? How can you pat someone like this on the back? To see Hall in this condition is sad. This guy is a disaster and needs help.

  • Scott Hall get stung by a bee?

  • I dont see what the issue is? Scott did the right thing despite the state he was in, the Owen joke was in poor taste and from what everyone says, Owen was one of good ones to everyone and his life deserves better.

  • wow dude, you're a mark. whenever they mocked them it was IN CHARACTER. to say they hated canadians in real life. holy crap. you're a moron.

the only canadian and cliq member who didnt get along was bret hart and shawn michaels.

  • You do know that Bret Hart almost became a Kliq member, right?

Any heat you perceive between Hall and the Hart family is all work.

  • wow, you're the biggest idiot ever, what are you 5?

  • Watch out guys. We got ourselves an internet tough guy.

  • Hall is one of the best wrestlers of all time, and I am glad you stuck up for Owen like that. THANKS for everything!

  • scott hall is the man, was of the best workers in his time!

  • are you talking about scott hall. he went up on stage and almost beat the guy down. he can say whatever he wants cause he actually did something about it.

  • Scott Hall is a has been... that guy is a joke. I'd fight him any day.

  • I agree completely with Hall, I can remember the day that Owen died, I felt like I had lost a member of my family. Hearing what that comedian said brought up a lot of sadness. And, if I had had a few drinks and then heard what he said I would've wanted to beat the crap outta him too! So right on Scott! Now as far as you guys justifying it with the Jimmy Kimmel comment. That was also a tasteless comment. And as we were all taught as children two wrongs don't make a right. RIP Owen & the Benoits.

  • "I may not be undefeated but I won more then I lost and I would of whipped that guys ass" He does remember that the fights were fake and the winners were decided beforehand right? Maybe he has done so many drugs and been drunk so much he forgot.

  • he's talkin about fights OUTSIDE the ring he's been into, which were quite a few

  • actually hes kicked a lot of ass outside of wrestling, ask marty janetti,

  • I am with Hall, but I think its funny that he called the other guy classless after he did what he did. I think he should have kept his cool and just confronted him after the roast. A roast is a roast and I dont think the guy knew what he was really saying. Eitherway, Hall is right to be upset. I get were he is coming from.

  • Hall did what was right, just too bad he really didn't kick that so-called comedian's ass from here to next week.

  • way to go loser, fat shit.

  • Scott Hall is a class act...no matter what he has done in his past...

  • hes a fat loser,ARE you kidding me,hes a pussy

  • Can't blame Scott on this one. I think to make a joke about anyone's death is in bad taste period.

  • I agree. But was he drunk? is he on the wagon?

  • Hall exacerbated the situation with the manner in which he went about it. Bad Joke and Bad guy equals bad situation! But kudos to him for doing this video sober!

  • Double standards, I'm afraid to say. People can make jokes about Warrior or Hogan's steroid use, the Benoit murder situation or any number of things, and all of pro wrestling's dirty laundry, accidental or otherwise is in the public domain and fair game.

Should the comedian have made that joke? No. Should the other people there have booed it? Yes. Should Scott Hall have done what he did? No, but he could've said it calmer and come off not looking as he did.

All round, it was a bad thing.

  • it'slike hall said tho, alot of guys died due to thier lifestyle, as we know owen died accidentally, no drugs or steroides.

scott over reacted because he knew owen, i think i would have done the same if someone joked about a friend of mine who had passed.

  • Respect to Hall, that knob who made the joke deserves all the stick he's got. Owen was a great talent... well played Scott Hall.

  • the bad guy

  • Damn straight Scott. He was standing up for a friend. You don't crack jokes at the way Owen died. Roast or not, its tasteless and disrespectful. Have some respect for one the greatest workers in the business! Scott should have pounded his ass into next week.

  • RAZOR RAMON!!

  • Totally agree with what he has to say. Owen Hart is legend of the ring and for someone to say a joke about his death is uncalled for. Owen Hart plunged to his death he didn't self destruct like the one's who have passed away recently. To me it's a friend standing up for what he believes in.

  • Not to defend the comedian, but it was a celebrity roast. Those are defined by their cruel and tasteless jokes and nothing is sacred.

  • scott hall is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time top 50 no doubt and so was owen heart i just wish he would have smashed that dude in the mouth and shoved the mic down his throat cause scott hall was always good on the shtick side of wrestling ha

  • Scott Hall makes a great point.

  • I usually hate this guy, but man he got some respect from me from this.

  • say hello to the badguyyy :D

  • We love you Scott

  • I would've done the same thing. Heavily intoxicated or not. That guy made such a tasteless, horrible joke. I probably would've killed the guy.

  • Scott Hall... much respect for standing up for what's right.

    You are my hero. Razor!

  • why are ppl hating on hall, so what if he was drunk, shouldnt being drunk dimminish you from knowing from right and wrong?....yet none of the sober wrestlers stood up against the comedian...he was drunk yet he stood up and none of the sober ppl there did....scott was 100% justified.

  • scott hall was acting childish....

but i dont blame him for a second. if some one would have made a joke about how a friend of mine died i would have done the same thing

  • RESPECT +1

  • hall should have ate him

  • hey hes not drunk in this interview!!!

  • Yeah, triplex, every person who goes to rehab kicks whatever they were there for. Give the guy a break. He probably beats himself up over his addictions more than you ever could, so get off his back. Glad to see him stand up for the nugget. Owen's death was a tragic event and Hall should have kicked that comedian's ass. I'm pissed off that they didn't let him. Boo to the security and Jim Powers. Next time, let him wail on that dude. "I'm not a nugget, I'm a black heart dammit."

  • A - Y o

  • ONE THING YOU DON'T DO IN REAL LIFE IS MESS WITH THE BAD GUY.SCOTT CAN THROW DOWN FOR REAL . I KNOW I HAVE SEEN IT. JUST TOOOOOO SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!! nWo Wolf Pack 4 life not just a catch phrase..

  • Well I for one would like to buy Mr. Hall a drink for standing up for his buddy.

On second thought, maybe not a drink. But I would defiantly burn some trees with him.

  • im shocked that someone can make jokes on such an accident.i dont know what to say. a blame 4 wretling and the whole wwe. i was glad to see a wrestling match from owen heart live. im thankfull 4 that. he was a great wrestler. gave all of his life to wrestling like his brother brett. shame 4 wrestling to do such a bad joke on such an unacceptable accident. it was the fault of wwe dont check the risk on owens stunt. the company who killed him made guys who did jokes on owen big. blame

  • Poor Scott Hall. Still dying his hair black and sporting the toothpick. Time to move on man. It's not 1994 anymore.

  • Mr. Hall, what you did was admirable. Thanx for standing up for something.

  • Scott Hall is the man!

  • Survey says Scott Hall is the da Man!

    I'm always here 4 Life!

  • Right on Scott!

  • Hall wasn't drunk there despite what people say I was there

  • That comedian is lucky Scott was drunk otherwise he would have killed him.

Anyone trying to defend that no name comedian is a bitch and a coward.

    Hall 4 Life.

  • amen dude/dudette!

  • the joke was "After Iron Sheik and Jim Duggan got caught sniffing coke in the parking lot, Sheik's career fell faster than Owen Hart".

THAT IS DEFINITELY REASON 2 GET UR ASS WHIPPED.

  • I would've loved to had seen that guy get his ass kicked to high heaven. I am sure if Owen were alive (RIP) he would've put him in a sharpshooter and make him cry for his mother.

  • Comedian Ryan Maher, who was at the roast, posted a blog on MySpace talking about what happened at the show. According to Maher, Hall got pissed off after Graham said, When the Iron Sheik got pulled over and arrested on the Jersey Turnpike his career fell harder and faster then Owen Hart.

  • Poor taste to repeat the joke. I got YouTube.

    Don't we all?

  • What did the comedian say about Owen?????

  • I agree with Zoms, it's sad that Scott Hall was the only one to do anything! Every wrestler in attendance should've gave that "comedian" their finishing move(for real!)

  • I think that Hall was right sticking up for Owen. Even if he was bombed his comments here show that his head was still in the right place. One more run.....HEY YO!

  • if you didnt have respect for hall b4, u should now, he was drunk yet, he was the only one to find that the owen joke was offensive...scott hall drew more ppl to the arena then every1 in that room...and one of his best matches were against owen hart..if any1 had the heart to stand up to that comic im glad it was him..shame no other wrestlers did

  • love you apter!

  • Hall's situation is tragic, and it sucks to see him drinking again but this is one time he was right. Owen's death was terrible, defending him is only just. It does make me sad to see no one else defending him although I didn't see anyone that worked with him that much on the videos other than Hall, though I know King Kong Bundy was a family friend and worked with Stu and Shieky Baby's been around forever so I'm sure he knew him too. Either way, it was tasteless and Hall was drunk, but right.

  • I don't agree with the way he handled it.

Either A) suck it up like a big boy or B) discuss it with the person AFTER the show is over. If the problem persists, then protest and account your previous protest publicly.

If you have something to say, say it, but don't make a *public outburst about it, crotch-chopping yo'self, it's only going to reflect negatively on you. So, Scott Hall basically just humiliated himself.lol "i did the right thing. i was right.' NICE Scott.. Really... nice.

  • Abe Lincoln once said "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything".

Drunk or not, Scott Hall did the right thing.

  • Luvs, did you say suck it up like a big boy? Scott's in his 40's, about 6 feet and has become a little chunky even with his muscle still there. I don't know how much bigger he could get.

Instead of sucking it up like a big boy, he acted like a man and taught that punk a lesson. If you think less of Scott Hall because of this then clearly you're not a true wrestling fan.

  • i watched the video and scott hall sounded a lil drunk...but did a pretty damn good job on bashin the guy lol

  • I was there. Scott wasn't defending anything. He was falling down, piss-your-pants drunk and was acting like a public menace. He started heckling the comedian way before the Owen remark even happened, and threatened everyone in the room, including security, Bill Apter, and King Kong Bundy, before he was removed. Don't waste any praise on this guy.

  • yea, I agree, scott was a disaster! It was so hard to take him seriously falling over those chairs even though he was saying the right thing. But it makes him look all the more...foolish.

  • Well said and done Scott.

  • It's sad that Scott is the only one that stood up for Owen.

Thumbs up to Scott and R.I.P. Owen.

  • You go Scott Hall, I'm glad you choked that weasel out.

  • The "joke" made by this so called comic was more than just tasteless! It was rude and disrespectful! Scott Hall may have his personal demons, but he had every right to do what he did. I or any other fan would have been just as irate! A mans accidental and tragic death is never something to joke about. I have even more respect for Scott Hall now.

  • i'm from Calgary, Alberta where the Hart family lived. I met Owen on many occasions as he was a friend of the family. Owen was a GREAT man and i'm saddened every day about what happened to him. What that comedian said was absolutely tasteless and crude and had no place saying it. Scott Hall has had his share of problems over the years but i completely respect for standing up for Owen's legacy! Good on you man!! Owen was incredible! RIP Owen! We all loved you

  • Well said Scott Hall, you got my support. R.I.P Owen Hart

  • this comedian is an idot

  • well done scott . hey yo say hello to the bad guy .. from scotland rip owen hart

  • there's a fine line between comedy and being tasteless. the comedian crossed that line. owen hart deserves respect as a person no matter what someone thinks about wrestling. he was a good person, and i think that joke was totaly disrespectful.

  • damn theres a big difference between hall when hes drunk and sober..if he could stay away from the booze he could still be money in the wrestling biz..

  • If someone took a cheap shot at the tragic death of my friend, I would have done the same as Scott Hall. And I'm tee-total.

I think he shows a lot of class in his statement here.

  • I've done my share of poking fun at Scott Hall over the years, but I totally respect him for what he did by standing up for Owen's memory.

  • he looks so fat, hahaha Razor Ramon hahaha

  • And this comedian guy also had the nerve to say that he thinks Owen would have laughed at the joke. Yeah, there's nothing funnier than a husband and dad being taken away from his wife and children. This comedian guy must have some sort of empathy disorder not to understand that

  • Scot Hall rocks!!! =P

  • Scott Hall did the right thing for defending Owen Hart's memory. Joke or no joke, making fun of a man who died the way Owen did is just sickening.

  • scott was right in doing that

  • Scott Hall really took things waaaay too far that night. Yes, he was right doing what he did, initially. But he (as usual) let the bottle do the talking for him and carried it way too far and for way too long. If he would have just let it go after he said what he did on the mic, he wouldn't have looked nearly as bad as he did.

  • Surprisingly lucid and honest comments by Scott there, obviously only from one person`s point of view (drunk at the time probably didn`t help matters) but I think he was right about the comments being in bad taste (yes I know it was a roast but the man is dead and died in a horrible accident leaving wife and kids home alone) but wrong in the way he acted on it.

  • like Scott Hall says back in the day, "Hey Yooo"

  • Scott... Back to wrestling!

    You´re my idol!

  • Good for Hall he is right the comedian made a tasteless joke about one of there own, Hall is the man.

  • what did the guy say

  • somthing about owen falling faster than the iron sheiks sons career or somthing like that

wish someone else would have had the courage to do what hall did props to him

  • Scott Hall + Booze x Shiek Roast - Bad Comedian = COMEDY!

  • Scott is right and he has unlimited toothpicks too.

  • We all miss Owen!

  • One more run please, Scott.

  • Scott was right to let the idiot that was telling the joke about Owen off. What I don't understand is why was not anyone else just as pissed off about what the so called comedic had said about Owen Hart. From what I read it was not until Scott had said something that anyone else got mad about it.

  • Jokes about Owen Hart are tasteless. Chris Benoit jokes, on the other hand, should be encouraged. Owen Hart fell to his death attempting a stunt and Chris Benoit killed himself after MURDERING HIS WIFE AND SON.

  • A man killing his wife and son are something to joke about? You lost your credibility

  • I was at the roast and the joke made by the lame comedian was real tasteless and disrespectful. Scott did the right thing standing up for Owen. I know if Bret was there, that comedian would of got layed out!

  • If Bret was there, I'm sure that Graham clown would not have said it. He was pretty ballsy saying it in front of Scott Hall. But if Bret was there, the comedian would've probably experienced a tragedy of his own.

  • Hey yo!

  • Scott Hall vs. Jake Roberts in a drinking contest.

  • LOL THAT WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH
