I don't hate Jeff because of the 8.8. No, I hate Jeff because he is simply an incredibly poor reviewer. The man sucks at his job, and even though it was for all the wrong reasons, the fact that he got fired is a good thing because

1. That big fat pile of failure is no longer on one of the "big 3" game sites, so his reviews are considered less important. As such, fewer idiots are inspired by him, so we end up with a smaller number of bad reviewers.

2. It exposed Game$pot for the frauds they are.

For about 2 weeks Gamespot was flooded with Kayne and Lynch adds. It was like IGN with Assassins creed; They really looked forward to playing it (and the money they got from KnL game maker). Then the game came, he played it for about 3 hours, and gave an honest review. Gamespot was fine with the review, but the KnL maker got pissed and broke from Gamespot and said they wouldn't support them or pay for the adds. Gamespot got scared and fired jeff for the money.
