Parliament-Funkedelic had a legendary reputation but Im sorry...they just could not deliver the goods live. I saw them in 1978. The musicianship was poor. The stage was overcrowded with people dressed up like clowns from a horror movie or from a Saturday morning cartoon. It was a demonstration of how hype and image creation can sell almost anything. However, on the same show Charlie Wilson and the Gap Band turned the mutha out!!
can any one give and find the link to the this pfunk song called i think "supergroovelastic" and the lyrics is "give the people what they want and when they want it and they want it all the time"
8 dollars to see Parliament in concert? Man, I wish I was born during that time. I live in Syracuse. Not to far away from Rochester. I wonder did the Mothership land during that concert?
What a bargain!
