  • There is only one word to describe this: Perfection!

  • Мерси парню,который имеет ТАКОЙ вкус!!!И нашёл эту запись!!!

  • superbe!

  • Sarah Vaughan sings the "A Train" better then Brubeck or Ellington could play it.

  • omg i love this song...i gotta perform this this semester

  • interesting arrangement on the horns there.

Honestly, I don't think Sarah needed any extra help there.

Must have been huge struggle for the band to get the heck out of her way.

She could sing the whole song with NO band and it would still sound good!

  • She is what we like to call a beast!! Definitely was on a level of her own.

  • Sassy swings this train HARD ! Love it !!!

  • wow

  • oh mmmyyy gawwdd!! this is the first upbeat song ive heard from her..... wow! just wow! god how im totally loving jazz lately.. cant get enough :)

  • This comes as close as the song was originally written - it was written as a ballad!

  • INSTEAD OF THE A-TRAIN, IT IS SASSY TRAIN WITH MISS SARAH.

    WONDERFUL UPLOAD.

  • Where can I catch this train?

  • VERY...GREAT!!

  • By far, this is the best sounding version of the song . . . of any jazz singer.

But then, when it's Sarah singing it . . . it's bound to be the best.

  • Needless to say anything - This is the Great Sarah Vaughan

  • @loniaz So true. In a class of her own, at the top of the heap. Dave Garroway gets to sit up there in heaven listenin' to Sassy, snapping his fingers, sipping a drink, cuz now he really IS in the company of The Divine One!

  • LOOOOVE THIS.....Makes me feel like I'm floatin' above the big city!!!

  • Incredible! especially 2nd chorus

  • yes finally ! i love this version

  • she recorded this on an album sassy sarah swings again. i don't think this is it. but i dont know where this comes from. can anyone help? still a fab. recording

  • Yes. It is on the Mercury Records label under the number 814 587-2 marketed by Phonogram,

This is for the CD version from 1983, of the original record by 1967. Absolutely a master piece out of this world.

  • I can't believe I found this on here. Thiis is my favoritte version of this song. I saw Sarah Live at the Hampton Roads Jazz festival in 1970. She was absolutely great! Thanks for this.

  • Sarah sings and soars to the heavens in every song.

  • amazing

  • WOW! I love this version...she made it sorta funky!! I always love a "Sarah interpretation" of a song...

  • I love her!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for post..never heard her singing that

  • Cool post. I love Sarah Vaughan.

  • here is her last Mercury album. The next album after this was in 1971, called "A Time In My Life" Thanks for the post.
