Ya know whats funny? The ref by the Walters bench told the player to get back to the bench. The other ref on the other side of the court, who has refereed more games at Pocola than anywhere else and said this was his last game to officiate, ran over and called the technical even though several Pocola players came onto the floor as well.

You can't blame the officials in the least bit for Walters losing, because even if a technical foul wasn't called, Pocola would've still gotten the ball and won the game with that 3. So anyone saying that the refs won the game needs to listen to what the score was before the buzzerbeater, because it wouldn't have changed anything.

I have kin from Walters and played them personally, but I am not going to spare any expense about the offciating. Same rules down here in Texas. A player who is on the bench can not go on the floor without checking in or in the case of a timeout. Hate to see it happen to the Lady Blue Devils, but y'all got good teams every year.

Who the hell makes that call? Ridiculous...so after Walters hits the three. Did Pocola call timeout or did Walters players just run out .7 seconds too early?

there was a foul when she hit the 3 so the clocked stopped. then the player ran on the floor. the ref probably should have just given them a warning, because the same thing happened during the millwood/sequoyah game with no call. but walters still had the lead when pocola got the chance at the three. they should have gotten a hand in the players face instead of giving her a clean shot.

I live 2 minutes from Pocola... I wish Walters would have won that game. They deserved it. Shots like that are heart breakers. Makes me wanna cry b/c I'm a senior that'll never get to play basketball again.

yeah pocola girls were out on the court all night but they just got the whistle blown on them. we didn't deserve a freakin technical. we were robbed, refs called that game.

I am from walters. Vennessa Karpe is awsome. We so freakin won this except for when Marisol got on the court. there was only 7 10ths of a second left. BIG DEAL!!! we won!!!

i am from the pocola but i had to miss the game on the account that i had to be in kansas to play in a semi pro football game but i just want to say grats to pocola ur hard work has paid off and from looking up the rules the ref did make the correct call, but it is a shame when a ref has to decide a ball game

It's BS!!!!!! Walters was robbed of the State Championship!! Walters Is the 2008 Class 2A Champions In my opinion!!!! The referee's were horrible.

Walters was totally ripped off on that technical. 7 tenths of a second? give me a break. The refs were calling so much b.s. on both teams you wonder who the game was really about.
