Ok, Natla is a demi-god and an immortal being. Lara simply trapped her underneath a volcano (much like when Natla was first punished). In Underworld we learn that Amanda actually dug Natla out of her imprisonment and that's how Natla became free.

Lara did throw the Hammer of Thor at Natla but we don't really know if she's dead now or not.
