  • @lebensraummetal u must not know too much about eddie cause that is far from the truth! Maybe you think he sounds like he has a "cock stuffed in his mouth" because you want a cock stuffed in yours haaaha wierdo!

  • DAT BASS!

  • to the musician now a days...this is called talent....

  • well he has a voice

  • puta q bestia, great performance, what a voice!

  • Eddie cut out the fuck @1:16 :( Why didn't he scream it out like at the Pink Pop festival??? That would've been so cool.

  • @phantomblue97 it was tv, but u kno, he coulda still screamed it

  • @Diaz126025

Yeah for sure. The only reason why mtv didn't suck back then is b/c they had bands like Pearl Jam...

  • @phantomblue97 He did it because just saying the letter F and not saying the entire word it is far more appealing in this highly emotional state of mind he is than if he shouted fuck.

Fuck is already loosing it's power because, let's fuck admit that people are fucking saying this fuck word so many fucking times that it no longer sounds like a fucking course.

    It became an interjection.

  • @AnaLimaLuiza

    How fucking true.

  • @phantomblue97 because he's a fucking pansy with no balls. anyone who is into this kind of music is a faggot pussy. Also he sounds like he's singing with a cock stuffed into his mouth.

  • @lebensraummetal

    Hmmmm.... opinion noted.

  • They cut at 03:21 . WTF!

They can't take it! Hypocrisy is everywhere and it is one of the reasons...

I could be Jeremy and I believe that many understand him as I do.

    That is the truth.

  • @AnaLimaLuiza I'm not less than anybody cause I said that. F... You if you don't wanna see.

  • foda \o/

  • BEST PERFORMANCE OF JEREMY EVER!!!!!!

  • still hittin the spot in 2011 b-_-d \m/

  • This performance clearly shows why Pearl Jam was the greatest band music and MTV had ever seen and why Jeremy is the greatest and deepest song ever performed. This is more than Live, there should be another definition for this theatrical dramatic feeling

  • @MARSELIMADHE: Not just live, it's alive :D

  • @Tigerpuffer

    ICWUTUDIDTHAR

  • @MARSELIMADHE

i feel you 100%. i am still effected by having watched this 20 years ago.

  • @MARSELIMADHE Agreed!!!!!!!

Eddie knows this pain. It is amazing how deeply he feel what he sings. Great "performance".... no it is not a good work.

  • @AnaLimaLuiza "word" not "work".

  • @MARSELIMADHE Agreed!

  • best live performance of this song.....my opinion.

  • For the record, MTV has their own dedicated music channels. For example VH1 and VH1 classics. So now you know ;) (emphasis on the wink)

  • QUE TALES SALVAJES!

  • "MTV-Music Television -- they call it that, they don't even play music. How's that legal? What if everybody did that? 'Hey, thanks for calling New York Pizza.' 'Yeah, give me two large pepperoni pizzas.' 'Oh, we don't sell pizza.' 'What?' 'No, we just have raccoon hats and eye patches. Call a book store if you're hungry" - Daniel Tosh

  • @wwa4tna Lmao XD

  • Pearl jam the best.

  • NOW, that's a performance. Not some backplay with lipsync BS!!

  • UNA DE LAS MEJORES CANCIONES DE LA HISTORIA VIVAAAA PEARL JAMMMMMMMMM ................

  • eddie vedder is the koolest frontman ever, case fuckn closed !

  • Favourite part from 2:35 - 4:52

  • Why does MTV suck soo bad now??

  • @jackineedo bcuz theyre stereotypes

  • Wow, what a powerful song!! With everything that has happened in the world since this first aired, it's kind of creepy to watch again.

  • I miss these days......................... MTV not only played videos, when they did they actually played great music, and there was meaning behind them, unlike 90 some odd % of the garbage they call "music" these days.

  • Oobglob!!!

  • effin awesome so glad I found this...Favourited! I feel ya brothers.

  • he sounds scared as shit

  • wow, his voice sounds like he may had a little too much of his red wine the days before... the pain in his voice makes this song even more authentic

  • very great band and have great albums...

  • pearl jam are a great solid band. they kinda just came after nirvana and alice in chains which kinda hid them in the shadows a lil bit. its not a matter of being better, its a matter of just being heard. and pearl jam were heard by many

  • @x6twink9x HA they hid them in the shadows?? Pearl Jam hid both of them in the shadows completely

  • It's kinda funny how the crowd was "responding" while Pearl Jam was playing the legendary song "Jeremy". It's very sad thinking how much the crowd goes wild when the young Canadian pop star graces the stage nowadays... ( I'm not dissing all Canadians by the way )...

  • Nirvana did suck. Bunch of coked out heroin addicts playing sloppy music.

Pennyroyal Tea has got to be one of the dumbest songs I've ever heard.

  • @KhabukiJo fuck you Nirvana did not suck you arrogant piece of crap. Its sad you have to pick a side like that. Both Nirvana and Pearl Jam are awesome, but Nirvana was more revolutionary and had a larger impact.

  • @gheffty93 says who----you..pearl jam are here now and survived when nirvana fizzled away mainly cause kurt couldnt handle the whole thing..kurt was selfish only thought of himself and no-one else close around him..i dont respect kurt at all..and if you were to sit down and ask people about nirvana its oh yeah the guy who killed himself that had that smells like teen spirit song that sounds like bostons more than a feelin on distortion..even love covers pearl jam now cause she knows who rules

  • @KhabukiJo lol exactly..i could name more than penny royal fuckin t..lol..and thats why kurt hated pearl jam cause he knew their music's more appealing..it was only ever kurt who bitched about them..the rest of nirvana was a defferent story..jammed with pj on several occasions

  • That's kind of an opinion tho. lol

  • Nirvana didn't suck man, pear jam and nirvana both kicked ass.

  • PEARL JAM > NIRVANA period nuff said. lets go home..bring the house down

  • @kk22bbme Nirvana sucks, that's a fact not opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @szczala17 haha..'left' as in past tense of leave..not the side.

  • @szczala17 It's talking about he got punched in the face by Jeremy, because Jeremy was an upset boy.. his parents didn't care about him. this is all based on a true story, except eddie vedder was not there.. he was touched by Jeremy's story.

  • Pearl Jam has and always WILL have meaning. These guys are musicians through and through. Why is it that they have lost their relevance?!??!?!? Why because they didn't crash and burn?!!! These guys, as well as Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Nirvana hated to be called grunge, or part of whatever movement...that is something the media invented...because they wanted to commercialize these guys and make money of off them! Chris Conell, Eddie Veder and Kurt Cobain saw themselves as artists..

  • Can't believe how good they sound live!

  • Eddie is mad...

    Confirmed

  • 10 people had dads that didn't give attention to the fact that they don't like good music!

  • back when it meant something to be at a pearl jam concert. when pearl jam had a meaning.

  • Eddie's head shake at 01:32 is priceless.. LOL

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaa.................. i like it soooooooooo muchh mmmmmmmmmmmmuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ^^

i <3 Eddie Vedder - so handsome & adorable ^^ although i'm much younger than him, i still love him ^^

  • 3:25 galloping stone = PRICELESS...

  • tthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthanksthankshanks

  • gorgeous... true music

  • @mirhaba: And now everything is lip-synch'd, shitty and only about making money. There's not much passion in any music I see today... Nothing compared to back then.

  • Man, I almost forgot how crazy their drummer was. He's the 2nd reason why that performance is so legendary (1st is Eddie of course) What ever happen to that guy?

  • @daj3166 im pretty sure i heard mcready and stone fired him they all had differences in music styles, so dave went his own way. He was an amazing drummer tho, one of the reasons why pearl jams first two records are part of history.

  • once upon a time there was TV where great music was played and was played live and with passion...

  • SI QUIERES TOCAR CON UNA BUENA TAROLA,CONSIGUE ESA CON LA QUE ESTA TOCANDO.EL MEJOR SONIDO.

  • God or whatever Creator there is bless you Jeremy. I hope you found your

way back into the Universe, and I hope your troubles are overe.

  • Back when MTV played music...but even then PJ was being crowded out by the MTV corporate crap!

  • fucking legendary

  • MTV used to play music? :O

  • @rabinhoDodot yea thats before it became shit :]

  • @rabinhoDodot

    1992

  • One of the first performances by the guys that I can remember seeing as a teen. Fuckin' blown away and I never turned back. Long live PJ!!!!!!

  • what kind of 12 string bass

  • 1:46

  • COME BACK DAVE ABRUZZESE!!!!!!

  • soooo epic

  • i hate being 17, all the mtv music awards shows are fillled with absolute garbage that kids my age actually call music. this is talent. all the music today doesn't even have fuckin instruments anymore its all prerecorded beats and sounds made on computers and fucking autotune.

  • @persbol im 17 too dog,i feel your pain

  • @persbol I'm 12, I've LOVED Pearl Jam for like.. 3 years now.. I know, it kind of sound weird, but it's true.

So I know how you feel, dude.

  • AN awsome preformance if you ask me!!! :D

  • MTV Awards 1992

  • 8 people idiot

  • This song is beautiful.

  • La "version" PinkPop es mejor, segun mis gustos claro

  • When I was happy in love I liostened to them. When I was sad and down I listened to them. They made sense. Gave me energy and their music meant something. It still does for that matter.

  • they rocked the roof off that place

  • Woooooohooooohohohooooooohooooooooo o o o o o o o o o o o!!! waaaaaa yeah a ya yayayayayayayayaya yehehheee ahh ahh a hhha :) Jeremy RIP

  • Dave was their best drummer by far. I love Matt, but Dave is brilliant.

  • @Fivehorizons2000

That is so true. Dave left me speechless 20 years ago when Ten was released, and still rocks. He's unbelievable. So sad he was a drunk.

  • Wow, thats it thats it~! The song for Santee

  • @rantanen1 most boring??... Grunge is dead now yeah... I think Nirvana were the most UN boring band to watch and listen to... esspecially live ... but Pearl Jam were good too... i like them too thats why i watch these videos... personal opinion tho right?? everyone has a right to an opinion i respect yours so respect mine

  • Nirvana did kick pearl jams ass...

  • @thezakkuk sorry man, i got to see both of them live in the early 90's! pearl jam kicked nirvanas ass live! if kurt would not of blown his brains out! they would be nobody today! grunge is dead! pearl jam still plays on today!!

  • @thezakkuk

compared to the other 3 of the seatles great four, nirvana is by far the most simplest and most boring

  • @rantanen1 Most boring? If you've ever seen Nirvana play Endless Nameless and wreck the stage, then you would most definitely not call them the most boring!

  • @Fivehorizons2000

i meant purely from a musical point of view.

sure. nirvana had energetic live shows, doesnt change anything

  • @thezakkuk wrong. its the other way around

  • gotta love the live performances

  • 4:2 lol XD

  • Dave Abbruzzese is a beast

  • @allmytcane they should of kept him!!! musical differences is why he left

  • @yukons95 I hear you man, the guy is one hell of a drummer! Its incredible after all these years, PJ is still rocking with the same intensity!!! Gotta love that! Take it easy!

  • @allmytcane i heard dave is back in austin still drumming! look at how he hits all cymbals, toms, everything in sync! the guy was awesome!

  • lol he's so coked out

  • @gmkilla27 i was thinking the same thing lol

  • nirvana would kick pearl jams ass

  • @zepplinrocks241 ur a fucking cock sucker and so his curt kobain curts greatest descision in his musical career was putting his big toe on that trigger

  • @zepplinrocks241 >Implying Nirvana aren't an overrated piece of shit.

  • Best version of Greatest song

  • ENERGY!!!

  • sorry this guy rocked but metallica eats it up

  • @burtpet check out alive from pink pop 92..i love both bands but as for intensity i have to vote for eddie in his day..but thats just my opinion:)

  • 7 people were shook so hard by that 12 string bass they missed the like button ;)

  • I remember years ago watching this performance and specially watching Dave Abruzzesse on drums, he influenced me in my decision to be a drummer, today i'm still a drummer and still love this song, this band and this great drummer, without him Pearl Jam lost a lot of strength but i still love them

  • There has always been bad music, just in time it was forgotten and the good shit was remembered now bad music masquerades as good music.

  • o importante é viver e buscar a felicidade e isso só cabe a cada um de nós.

  • BEST VERSION EVER

    Best song

    Best band

  • i LOVE the acousitc part and the end.

  • awesome. never knew there was a song after my name. had goosebumps all over

  • THATS why theyre my favourite band!long live PJ!! :)

  • sounds likes he was losing his voice

  • Wake up people! Eddies's like that cos he's coked up to the eyeballs!

  • @tomf74 have you got proof to back ur claims

  • I think this was cut short just by a little bit... didn't he fall down at the end of this song or am I remembering a different performance... ??? Anyway, thanks for posting, I've always loved this performance...

  • wow man, i just teared up when he said try to to erase this from the black board.. that was just insane...

  • Jeremy is 1 of my fav songs to sing. Eddie, Chris Cornell man they can jam! I did some pearl jam karaoke one nite and I am uploading the songs for my kids n my fam. I have CHF in my life maybe cut short but recorded songs/vids r 4ever. Check it out for a good laugh :) I am no singer I just love singing this

<---- just click on my name

  • Man Jeremy by Pearl Jam is 1 of my fav songs to sing. Eddie, Chris Cornell man they can jam! I did some pearl jam karaoke one nite and I am uploading the songs for my kids n my fam. I have CHF in my life maybe cut short but recorded songs/vids r 4ever. Man the 90's had good new sounds coming out of Seattle. Check it out for a good laugh :) I am no singer I just love singing this

<---- just click on my name

  • BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember when this came out. Apparently the band wanted to do a Dead Boys cover, but MTV wouldn't let them. Maybe this fired a hell of a performance. Mean T is right, I'm getting too old to care about this really, but why are all vids nowadays about women slo motion butt shaking, not that there's much wrong with that sometimes, but too much is shite.

  • Im glad my name was Jeremy^^

  • greatest band ever

  • 1993, 4 awards from the MTV music video Awards night..including Mtv of the year, best mtv, best band and over all mtv JEREMY..amazing...

  • Pearl was a great band, but now they turn out to be pretty bad for my opinion, their songs in "Backspacer" are horibble.

  • @roli369 yeah there new stuff is pretty much garbage

  • @roli369 music is art..you cant keep your work the same each time you release new material..they have to be versatile and explore..try different things..its all a learning process for the band..they have 4 different song writers trying to express themselves so different styles will pop in time to time on their albums..its ok not to like some of their work but to say you think they arent a great band is crazy..look at everything they have done

  • Pearl Jam took the death of jeremy very personally

  • This band turned me onto 8 and 12 string basses. =D

  • just remembered how awesome this band is, dang

  • who's better pearl jam or foo fighter? me its pearl jam

  • @masjera "who's better pearl jam or foo fighter?" Wait, are asking this question seriously? I mean, you're right, of course: Pearl Jam is better than the Foo Fighters. But to even suggest this comparison is to damn PJ with faint praise. That's like saying the Beatles are better than Abba.

Btw, I'm not speaking as some kind of rabid PJ fan. I just doubt that even Dave Grohl would hesitate to say that PJ is better.

Now, to pose the same question re Grohl's *previous* band, that's reasonable.

  • @idealtypical In which I would then have to say Kurt's strange darkly intense art on a deep level would be unmatched by Eddie and Pearl Jam. Nevertheless Vedder was a huge fan of Kurt and took his death personally as he destroyed the T.V. on their tour bus and kind of "snapped" over it. The grunge era was a competitive time for great music and a damn good Seattle scene of groups. I.E. Look to Fleet Foxes for a great Seattle folk sound right now.

  • i cried

  • amazing!! a great performance

  • Poor King Edd The Ved Head is pretty nevous here. check that body language out.

i feel for him mahn...excellent performance though.

  • @cdonguitar He's not nervous,he's off his head on coke!

  • I wonder what Cobain thought when he was sitting their watching this performance. I hope this wasnt reason why he hated them.

  • This has to be the most Emotional performance of Jeremy

  • GOD i miss the 90s so much. the best years of my LIFE! its sad that all they play is this bull shit rap thats fucked everyones idea of what real music is. i just wish we could bring it all back. back to when music was real and from the hart like this.

  • the best song, the best band, the best performance

  • 3:20

the pinnacle of emotion in the whole performance, then it just keeps up as high until the end.

  • What an incredible time.... 90´s were simply awesome in rock music and this performance was one of the best moments of that era. Something those he lived it will never forget. Along with Nirvana, RHCP and many others gave our generation music that we will never forget. This MTV performance changed our lives forever.

  • Eddie Vedder is smockin hot.

  • Dave Abbruzzese rules !! The beat will never be the same again without Dave

  • Dave Abbruzzese rules !! The beat will never be the same again without Dave

  • Was eddie at the end pretending to hang himself with the Mike cord. 1thru99dotcom

  • This is the edited version of a live performance during the '92 MTV Music Awards show. During the live performance, at 3:23, Eddie made his fingers into a gun and put it into his mouth and pretended to blow his own brains out. When they replayed this later on, they edited that part out with shots of the guitarist dancing in a circle. This is also the same year that Nirvana got into a fight with Guns N Roses back stage, and Dave Grohl mocked GNR after Nirvana's song with "Hi, Axl! Hi, Axl!"

  • I don't know. Until I was 12 I had a family, then I had to live elsewhere. If I had human feelings for them (my "mother" and "father") I'd start to cry that stuff out of me @4:43. Hey people, do you know what about my brother Tom? Please tell me he is alive and yet sane somewhere... please.

    (ok, stopped, sorry.)

  • he makes me cream my panties at 4:13 i want him to take that anger out on my ass!! woot!! I love you eddie!!

  • @brandibee2282 whaoh lol

  • i've been looking everywhere for this, thanks so much!

  • The only band ive ver seen playing live and still sound lke the studio recording. Real rock and roll here ladies and gents.

  • i like nirvana as well but lets be honest... pearl jam kick their assssss

  • Listen to his voice, yea thats what vocals should sound like, pain love determination all in one. Not this auto-tune crap people use.

  • Listen to his voice, yea thats what vocals should sound like, pain love determination all in one. Not this auto-tune crap people use.

  • 18 years ago and still better than half the shit called rock n roll now a days. fuckin a that shit kicked ass.

  • brilliant.
