If Nc State had an offense the year we had Williams, Lawson, and Mcargo... we would have contended for the ACC. We had the number 1 defense in the nation that year, and we barely made it to a bowl game

This game is not the only reason why mario went #1. Do you even remember what he did at the combine, he is 6'7 at 265 pounds, has a vertical jump of 40.5 inches, benches 225 35 times, and to top it off runs a 4.66 40 yard dash. This game helped but didn't give him the #1 pick.
