Can't we all just get along? I love NASCAR, I love the ALMS, I love F1, I love IndyCar, I love motorsports! I'm not going to bash any sport, so can't we all just get along?
@topramn yeah and hopefully they will never be heavily modified like NASCAR. Why do they call NASCAR stock car racing if the cars are not stock, last time they were stock was like 50 years ago. I like this because you could potentially buy a car that is basically the same as the one that wins the race. In NASCAR the home depot-chevy car wins and stupid people say hey I should buy a chevy and go to Home Depot today. LMAO! BTW loved your comment bro, it's so true.
I wonder why road racing like this is not that much promoted as to compared to stupid Nascar. I found out about this by luck on Speed n when I tried to tune in guess what was on...... Stupid Nascar trucks.
@Velal07 It's considered grass-roots racing still. They can't afford the Big money time slots for coverage. I suspect this will change in years ahead!!
You are very right I just hope it goes a lil more main stream. I also wish that they anounce it a lil more b/c trust me had I known that they were going to race I would've made the arragements to go n watch it.
When I was a kid in the 1980's, there was another showroom stock series called the IMSA Firehawk series. The only time I ever saw it covered were on racing news shows (sometimes) or in Firestone's own magazine ads, where they'd have small photos of recent Firehawk winners.
I wondered the same thing. It's a well-run form of motorsport, the cars are real, there's variety in models, and it looks like a blast. I hope the current Continental Tire series gets some attention.
I remember watchin Firehawk races I loved them, then they just faded away. Let's hope that this series doesn't go the same route as the Firehawk series.
The LIVE truck race was rain delayed, whereas the Cont'l Challenge race wasn't. Also, NASCAR is a purely Southern tradition, and is practically a part of life down there, hence the overpromotion.

Excellent racing, NASCAR and only left turns does not compare to the art that road racing has to offer to racer and spectators.
Thanks for posting.

Since many of us missed out on the Cont'l Challenge race due to a rain delay of the Truck Series, could someone upload the actual race?

Funny thing is Grand Am is owned by NASCAR. Hopefully we will see the growth of the sport increase soon.
