1. cuz it's leta! leta is famous for using wraiths in every game. He is known for the best wraith user.

2. It is a matter of style. There are two basic ways for a terran to play against zerg. The first one is bionic...flash is the master of it and the second way is mechanic...fantasy stands for it.

ensnare is what I have been using recently because wraith is so common now.. It works good vs rines as well most non pro terrans have trouble spreading rines. Also spread rines make it easy for lings to run in

Then JD would have just switched to a hydra/lurk.

Watch some of the JD v Fantasy series where Fantasy pumps out like 8-10 gholiaths to deal with JD's Muta micro. JD then macro's up like he did here and just amassed a hybrid muta/hydra army and runs right through.

Leta failed in going with too many wraiths and not getting that second base going early enough. Most players just turret/MM up with few Vulture harass counters and tough it out as the game transitions to middle/late game.

Leta's wraith micro is amazing, probably the best among pros, and has flustered many zergs.

The problem is, JD has the best muta control on Earth...

And having 1 geyser while a zerg has four can't help much either.

he only did poor because of his choice in build order people need to take that into consideration because it is the most important thing in a match up.

example,bisu vs leta, Bisu is no doubt higher rank even so if bisu went for the 3 nexus build with 2 gate against a all out mech build bisu would probably use to leta not because rank because of the timing push on the macro

Build order and push timing is everything rank means little I have played with progamers and won because of timing alone

I've got a ton of respect for him, but he gets destroyed by bisu/jd/flash when he faces them. Puts up more of a fight than most but is just not at that level yet.

His 2port play is fucking fantastic, but JD was obviously prepared for it.

yea it was mainly the extra min/gass i felt he should have xpo quicker while dong had less muta his micro was fine he could have taken the extra mineral with a few turrents instead he choose the natural for the extra gas i think it was a poor play because if he got turrents up and the all mineral he could have made dong risk going far out while letas mm stayed at mid with the wraiths. after mining that for a few mins he could gain his 400 back and make natural with more units cuz the extra miner

leta's build is awesome to be honest but extremely fragile and it's almost impossible to keep up in macro if you are spending more on more wraiths for anti-muts.

i would have hoped for an all in 3 barracks (which leta sorta did) but jaedong was just too good at keeping him at bay.

I hate air stacking... makes it impossible to decide how big an army is, so you dont know who is winning.

I think Leta needs to tech to vessels faster, even before attempting expo, if he sees the enemy is massing muta instead of hydra.

It certainly doesn't work in his favor now that every zerg knows exactly what build to expect.

Look at how dark the shadows are to tell how many units are stacked. Yes, it would've been helpful for Leta to get vessels or DS but he was limited on his 1 base economy.

That wasn't JD's fault. If you already didn't know, Wraiths have a bigger ATA range than mutalisks.

If you have a look at Leta's other games with the same build, you will see that JD's muta micro in this game was really incredible. In fact, towards the end of the game, JD as perfectly microing 2 groups of mutalisk as if they are 1 group.
