If this was a case of her using here knowledge of psychology she would have had him evaluated, not arrested for "stockpiling". My Guess is she doesn't like guns and or is fearful of them here self, but rather than realizing her fear is irrational and dealing with this in a helpful or effective way, she reports her husband and has him arrested.
