  • These cars already get over 30mpg, so it wouldn't really make too much sense to make a 911 hybrid for example. Why not just go full electric?

  • So, anyone knows what's song plays in the clip?

  • Awesome video. Where was the video taken at?

  • Having your cake and eating it, it just doesn't get any closer. Porsche........

  • so what's all this intelligent something about?

  • @TransAmDrifter - i think its a hybrid eco friendly version of the RS

  • can i download the musicin this video anywhere???? i want to hear this musicwhile im driving my cayenne :D

  • @roll8cy

Use the Youtube Mp3 Converter to download the the movie as Mp3 so u've got the sounds

  • cool

  • that advert didn't show us ANYTHING!

  • I have a cayenne hybrid...arrived yesterday will be picking it up Saturday.

  • fukin porshe beat me to the punch to use the fukin KERS on a production car!!!!!!wat else is left!?!

  • P.I.M.P: porsche .intelligent. Mega. Performance

  • What's the song ?

  • Porsche is saying they want hybrids for better fuel economy. FTW yea right, they just want to put an extra high torque motor to improve performance and you no what; good for them. porsche there is no substitute

  • from those videos, i think that they didn't just want to make a hybrid car, but tried something different for extra power. aside from that, those make me wanna cry. i want one

  • 0:12-0:13 looks so nice

  • thats sweet - a lot nicer than i thought

  • toodle p.i.p

  • They tried KERS in F1... Why not try a hybrid?

  • i want one now!!!!

  • cmon, hybrid? what the hell is wrong with you?

  • Is this their test track? Looks awesome

  • do not forget KERS system in F1 cars. Technical regulation give 160 HP for 6 seconds, but teams will not use KERS

  • The Porsche Intelligence Performance is based on the KERS development driven by Williams for the F1 of last year campaign

  • It sure does fit Porsche, Ferdinand Porsche created the first hybrid in 1901!

  • ruf have developed an elecric powered 997

    looks good.

i think people should embrace the changes a little more we all know about the ozone layer and all that, and as far a porsche's philosophy, i thought light and fast was their philosophy, once batteries become lighter and they will, things should get real interesting.

think ill stick with my 2.7 for now mind....;)

  • i guess, the idea of Porsche HYBRID is not in decreasing the cost per Kilomiter, but to increase performace ALSO using alternative sources of power.

    Think about it.

  • i'm sure, the porsche idea of hybrid - is to increase performance using ALSO alternative sources of power.

But not to decrease cost per km.

  • This is where Porsche proves it is unique abilities

  • tail lights look like that of an aston martin...

  • What is the name of this Porsche test facility?

  • I think it does. This is the future. Even Porsche will have to develop. You can't stop time.

They just have to make the hybrid technologie more 'porsche'. The text 'Hybrid' on your Porsche's rear spoiler is not really a text you would expect on a race car...

  • Seems reasonably. F1 tried the KERS system for a while...

  • Cool!

  • Honestly, it doesn't fit Porsche's philosophy. A hybrid racing car? Cayenne Diesel, a hybrid, what's next, only electric powered 997?

  • doesn't fit the philosophy?what philosophy are you talking about? polution? that's not Porsche's philosophy. its performance, efficiency, evolution.and this baby still has it all. even Ferrari is planning to build a hybrid. and in case you live in Mars and you haven't heard...there's a big problem with the enviroment and the shortage and high price of fuel.its a brilliant move from Porsche and i'm sure everyone will do the same. and an electrict powered 997 would be awesome.

  • Why not. In the future all cars will be electric. So why not Porsche's. Or didn't you get the memo about the end of oil?

  • @streetracerm5 I think it fits their philosophy perfectly! Porsche is all about innovation and engineering! They found a way to make the gt3 more powerful yet more efficient!

  • yes

  • Actually thats rather interesting ;)

  • Not the hybrid you think. They did it smarter. Watch and read on their website. This is blilliant.

  • when u stay u will lose...

  • actually theres already an only battery powered 997..the german RUF made it...but it isnt as perfect as a proper 911:D

  • It doesn't fits? au contrarie, fits perfectly, or don't you remenber the 4WD, Liquid Cooled Engine of the 959 from 1987? Porsche is always a step ahead, and used Hybrid technology is a breaktrought. Or you think the future sports car will have gasoline based engines?

  • Exactly. Video is nice but this whole concept is fucking perverse.

Idiots need to realize that gas is still cheap, global warming doesn't exist, and hybrids are for tools.

  • Your ignorance of technical development is obvious. What's worse is being a virtual Porsche purist.

  • why not, its torque would be immense xD

  • yeah exactly

I dunno why this fad of hybrid suddenly spread in automakers...even when hybrids arent yet that brilliant in reality as they seem on paper

I mean if u want to save money(and planet) why not just get a diesel?

  • @chan625 No diesel can match the performance

  • @chan625 No diesel can match the performance

  • @amanwithdreams Audi R10?

  • Over 100 years ago, a certain Dr. Ferdinand Porsche designed the world's first hybrid car. As an owner, I can tell you: a Porsche is all about the driving experience, not about what's powering it or how many doors it has, or where the engine is. Every single car they've made is a blast to drive, and I'm pretty sure the KERS boost from this is pretty exciting, in addition to the regular flat 6.

  • @Pballer829

I agree! If you have driven a Porsche (and not just to the shops) you will never want to drive anything else.

Although I have to say driving a Porsche is also a little bit about the sound :-)

So no Diesel here (and the Cayenne doesn't count!!)

  • @ streetracerm5 why not :D u think the cars will run with fuel for still too long ? .probably in the future they will make electric cars 10 times more powerfull .. but probably in the future that will be unnecesary

  • sweet video

  • Looks amazing

  • GT3 R HYBRID? =O very good

  • Very Nice!

  • Porsche ist und bleibt das Maß aller Dinge

  • Carporn <3

  • So it captures energy at each braking ?
