I knew lisa from when she first started singing in my nans living room(her auntie JOYCE)who passed away 2 years ago GOD-BLESS,she grew up with her sisters corrine and rachell and also had brothers too & lived with her mom(anutie june)and dad(uncle dave)and was brought up in newtown birmingham they was a and i used to see them most fridays when they came to my nans,we as a family used to have boxing day partys at ST TERESA`S in perry barr where again lisa would sing she now lives in portugal !!!.
Wow, you are very informative on Lisa! Thanks for your info. Yes, she does have a great voice and is very talented...I'm sure her fans still wish her all the best today.
Lisa Carter never did a duet with Rick, it was Lisa Fabien who dueted on "When You Gonna". I spoke with Lisa C a few years ago and she confired that she never sang with Rick. She didn't record at PWL, her vocals for "Doctor's Orders" were recorded at a studio in Birmingham and then sent off to PWL in London for remixing by the legendary Pete Hammond.
I was going by the video listed on YouTube with Lisa Carter and Rick Astley named as the artists who did When You Gonna. I did recognize Ricks voice, but I could'nt tell if the female voice was really Lisa Carter. Thanks for letting me know!
Backing singer, Lisa Carter, provided the additional vocal and the single was released in a plain cover without any promotion under the simple name of Rick & Lisa. Although the song did not have much impact he did remain with RCA when his solo recording career started two months later.
is there any stock, aitkwen, waterman involvement ?

Does anyone know who remixed this for PWL?
Is it Pete Hammond or Phil Harding? Or maybe Dave Ford or Tony King?
