When I first watched Escaflowne 10 years ago I did get the feeling, that Eries is really the one who has the hots for Allen but doesn't want to confess it (or is unaware of it) as she is constantly following him around and trying to talk him out of his feelings for Milerna.

Also: Folken + Extremely hot Catgirl Sisters = Best Pairing ever!

Allen talks a big talk about his Big Important Feelings for whoever he's trying to sleep with at the moment, but when he has a problem he needs to talk through or needs someone he can trust implicitly, he always goes to Eries first.

@hbi2k You have a point there. In hindsight it's absolutely possible, that both had feelings for the other, but seemed completly unaware of them. Or in Eries case it's possible that she deliberately ignored them because of her duties as princess or because of Allen's backstory with her older sister. While Allen himself seems absolutely unable to cope with losing Marlene twice (and his sister to boot) and doesn't know his own feelings towards women anymore.
