I have a WR250F which is like this just yamahas version. headlight and tail also. and if you know the 2 can you compare them? please dont give me a biased opinion
@TheCheesecar if its your first bike then yes. its a little slower than the 250 motocross bikes in that the gear ratios are a little longer and the power isn't immediate (but don't get the wrong impression, it stills responds fast, just not AS fast as a mc bike) for your size, anything less that a 250 would be dumb. unless its a 125 2 stroke or higher.
@phazerrazer 250x is an enduro bike so much lighter its got a electric start, kickstand and wider gear ratios. so its meant for going over rocks logs and all that.
a 250r is a race bike so its heavier, alot faster and closer gear ratios and..... doesn't have a light.
@phazerrazer different suspension (softer for soaking up hits on the trail) a little different frame and a headlight and different tireds ( i think theres a cuple more too)

Hey. Im 13 years old, 5 foot 10 inches, and I weigh about 125 pounds. I have been riding dirt bikes since i was 6 years old and i do lots of endourose and hard trail riding. Do you think this is a good dirt bike for me?
@TheDanman1317 hey, i am 16 and i have been riding since i was about 12 and a half, almost 13. i am like 135 pounds and about the same height as you and i got an 09 450x. i had a crf100 for a year first to learn on, then i got a ttr230 which i had for 2 and a half years and now i got the 450 and i love it. wasnt hard at all to get used to it,for me anyways.
@bundyboylj i cant see any trouble with long distance, it runs pretty well in high rpms but i can run this bike all day and it will just be a little hot never reall overheats unless your run it hard going uphills or something
i had an 06 450x and found it realy heavy in the tight stuff. But awesome power. Im looking at getting a 250x with jetting and pipe as i think i will be faster on that for the type of terrain i ride.
As soon as Honda drop 5 kgs off the 450x i will get another one.
@cjjeep5 i had the04 250x and i hated that feeling of driving a tank, but recently upgraded to a 250x 09, AMAZING upgrade im all stock and i can get the front wheel up in 4th and 5th gear its a monster, downside though the 09 comes with a 1.9 motocross gas tank but thats the only bad thing about it
@AbbottArmada yea i agree. i got the 09 250x last thursday and it is ba total beast!! the gas tank is quite small but other than that its amazing!i got vids of it if u wanna see
@scotty4142 nice haha i liked the vids, i got some helmet cam vids of it, im working on getting some video editting so i put up clips of races, funny thing about the 09 was that i was always wanting a 250R because my friend on the R could jump better and wheelie better then me (hes in my vids) but after my upgrade hes been getting used to the taste of my roost :P
ok, well i just just bought a brand new CRF and decided i would go with the 450x again... Dont know why, maybe i thought i would miss the power... Time will tell. Gota love the Honda finance deal at 5.99% fixed!!!

Sorry, but that is an 09. If honda had come out with a 2010 250x (which they didnt due to too many carryovers), it would have been fuel injected.
