@RenoRaider sorry man but ray and NHOP are to different players they really cant be compared ray is soulful and keeps the pure sound of the bass where as NHOP has mad chops but his bass sounds nasily and he is a string tickler ray lays it on the bass and uses less amp then NHOP. I mean some sometime NHOP doesnt even sound likes hes playing a bass at times
this is some spectacular footage....thankyou whoever posted it. You rarely see live footage of the Brown, Thigpen trio....this is Peterson at the apex of his career....he's hands down the best, listen to the way he swings at such blinding speed and never once loses tempo or hits a wrong note, the man's a genius.

This is an amazing video. They're all swingin' their asses off. If you know Art Tatum, you can see his influence on Oscar.
But, Oscar took what Tatum did to a whole nother level. I'm sad to hear about him passing away. Tremedous individual.
