  • I just received an e-mail from Newsmax Healthy and they told me that Krill tablets are healthier and have the same benefits but are much more effective. I'm gonna think about buying some :/

  • @7246jack Krill is expensive, so I take them half and half with fish oil caps.

  • @joel10000a Oh, hmm I guess I might just continue taking fish oil then. Ok thanks :)

  • @7246jack You can find some good Krill Oil deals on eBay. That's where I got mine.

  • @joel10000a Awesome, thanks! :)

  • i think its a good idea to have your omega three levels checked via a blood test, most doctors are now recommending having Vitamin D levels checked well now Omega three levels are important to know what your omega 3 and omega 6 ratios are. We are all more proned to developing a whole host of health issues from the typical high omega six diet. We all need more omega three from a good triglyceride form fish oil. stay away from ehyl ester fish oil!!

  • Type "Rancid Fish Oil" into your search engine and see what they say. Fish oil goes very rancid once it is extracted, bite into a fish oil tablet and see, yuck!!! Also type in "Mercury and Fish" into your search engine, as you'll see fish it is full of mercury and it doesn't really matter where it is caught, the bigger the fish the more mercury. The best oils are Hemp oil or Flaxseed oil. If you want to put rancid, mercury fish oil tablets into your body then good luck.

  • @SpaceWalkTraveller Fish oil is purified of mercury.

  • @SpaceWalkTraveller Flaxseed oil also goes rancid quickly and there is evidence that flaxseed oil contributes to prostate cancer!

  • @PROCESSOR302 Where did you get that info? I have never heard this about flax seed oil!

  • @joel10000a You can google flaxseed oil and prostate cancer or go to pubmed (NIH) and do a lit search. Apparently, men should eat whole flaxceed and not consume flaxseed oil.

  • @PROCESSOR302 Thanks for the info! My dad died of prostate cancer, so I don't want to do anything to encourage it! I don't use flax seed oil now anyway, but it is good to know to avoid it totally in the future! I do have some flax seed for baking, but I think now I will get rid of that too!

  • @PROCESSOR302 I only buy my fish oil from the fridge supplement section, they have glass bottles of it always staying really ice cold. I want to try hemp oil soon :)

  • First of all fish oil supplements are a processed food !and they become Rancid on the process . all fish is contaminated with MERCURY and PCB ...want to be healthy grow your own food and dont eat process foods my great grandmother died when she was 105 and she didnot take fish oil and no vitamin pills !! people are lazy to cook so they eat garbage ! and sit on the computure and on the cell phone getting emf radiation . and wonder why they have cancer or high blood pressure !

  • @lion1green Absolutely, better to get the omega 3's in real fish. But if people hate fish, like me, getting them in Fish Oil capsules is better than not having them @ all.

  • I have fish oil capsules which contain 1060 mg in one capsule. It sais on the pack that I can only have 2 of them a day. But BIGDADDYDUKE2 said that he takes 3 of them a day. Can I also take 3 capsules a day?

  • @Guessmylevel I also take three, but mine are 1200 mg each. I have noticed that my irregular heart beat is much improved (not nearly as noticeable) when I regularly take this amount!

  • @Guessmylevel If you are that concerned about it, ask your doctor!

  • @Guessmylevel if you take to many the only side effect that you will get is an increase in gas I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night I take it mostly for my dry skin.

  • Has anybody read the book, "Nutrition Science" by T Trainer (web: trainersplanet)?

A friend recommended it and said it has a wealth of info.

They said that it's the Bible of nutrition n and dieting cause it tells you everything you need to know about nutrition that no other book does.

  • I am 15 years old, I just started taking these a day ago. I am very underweight should I continue using these?

  • @UWARABLE You should ask your doctor about that.

  • @joel10000a Why is it bad to take when your skinny, im trying to work out and gain weight as im skinny what should I do

  • @temptstress666 Ask your doctor!

  • @UWARABLE i suggested you to try krill oil.

  • apparently fish oil is very very good for mental health problems aswell

  • make sure you take fish oil everyday...it's so important for your brain, joint and heart health!!!

  • @EricSchwin22 I do, myself, and I have an irregular heart beat. I find that when I take 3600 units of fish oil daily, that my irregular heart beat is much less pronounced. I can literally feel the increase in the noticability of the irregularity if I miss even one day!

  • They said some people took 6000 mg of fish oil, I take 1200 mg three times a day. Would it hurt me to take like 4 or 5 1200 mg a day.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 - I would consult your practitioner before taking more than the standard dosage. For myself, I have taken a maximum of 12 capsules a day and I've had no problems (You should not take such that high dosage as I have without consulting it first). I hope I have helped you.

  • Latley I've been taking L-Theanine, L-Carnitine, Panax Ginseng, Yebra Mate, Vitamin D, L-Arginine, Chocolet Tabs, and Fish Oil. Is their anything dangerous in this combination?

  • @stonerguy19666 too stimulating and causes inflammation

  • Awesome! I have been taking 1000mg of omega 3 for years. I was able to come off my blood pressure medication and my antidepressants and generally feel much better.

    everyone should try it!

  • really good video ... thanks joel for the upload ... will tell a lot of ppl to watch this

  • Ive got bulging disc's in L4 and L5. I dealt with pain everyday for the past 4 years, going through everything from chiropractor to pain medication. a month ago i started taking 9 omega 3 fish oil pills a day. I am not completly pain free but the fish oil pills have done more for my back pain then any chiropractor or pain meds have ever done for me. If you plan to try this out then i recommend you be sure to check on your bottle to be sure that the product has been screened for any heavy metals.

  • i usually take 6g of fish oil a day to help the ezcema on my feet but it seems that it flares up again on my hands. can i take 9g a day (3 capsules 3X a day)? I'm talking about ordinary ones (180mg epa and 120mg dha) not the concentrated ones.

  • i just started it today it is huge the pills i was scared to start i didnt know exactly what they were good for me for but i heard alot of people taking it cuz it helps them get over depression

  • @BRONXPEPE Just Google "omega 3 fish oil", and see what you find!

  • i do think fish oil is very important. However, this video entails that all fish oil supplements are great.

Then you start reading how the companies process the fish oil and in many cases this process is either inadequate or adds other contaminants, or both. There are many brands in the market and it is extremely difficult to know whether we are taking a good fish oil or not. I wonder if there is an official report out there where we can see the pros and cons about the various brands.

  • @otavioandradas Another alternative is flax oil, flax seed or flax seed meal. It has Omega 3 also. Go google it and see what you find.

  • thanks joel10000a.

Yes, I have taken flax seed and I do feel its benefits. In a way, I like it better than fish oil, but I am still researching on fish oils. Finding a brand that one can really trust is essential. Placebo effect is not an option, I hope...

    Thanx again.

  • i take natures made. passes the requirements for safe fish oil and is inexpensive. they also only use deep ocean wild fish. store it in your fridge and take your fish oil with a meal for proper absorption. .

  • i sent you a message check ur inbox

  • @kylecorreia Ok, thanks

  • An even better alternative to fish oil,is Flax seed oil,or better yet is Hemp Seed Oil.Higher concentrations,asimilate into the body easier :)And,its c h e a p,inexpensive .

  • @northllstr How much should you take daily, of these flax seed oil or hemp seed oil, and where is the place to find them for the lowest price?

  • @joel10000a HI.Well,Ive good results with flax meal.Flax oil is good too,I dont think it has fiber in it,like the meal does.its more expensive,at around 8 dollars can for 500 ml,the equivalent of 1kg of flax meal. You should see results very quickly.Hemp oil is a little more balanced,Omega 3 and 9,its about 100ml for 5 dollars Canadian.Allot of athletes use hemp and flax.hemp oil contains *no* thc,the active ingredient in marijuana,so its 100% legal.Good Health to you!

  • @northllstr Thanks, but how much do you take of each per day?

  • I take 2 tablespoons ,in a glass of 8 oz of water,in the morning.Just stir it up good, and drink it down:)I usually have to add a small amount of water when I get near the bottom of the glass, because the "meal" tends to settle to the bottom.Later in the evening, after dinner"ish",around 8-9pm,I mix up another, just one tablespoon,in 8oz of water this time.I do this every day. it *greatly** improves my mood, makes me feel "sharp",I never feel tired or droopy the next morning,I swear by flax!!

  • @northllstr Ok, thanks! As soon as I run out of my Omega 3 fish oil, I will try it, or do you also take that?

  • @joel10000a Have you ever tried adding flax meal to pancake or muffin batter, or to biscuit roll recipes? I will look on the internet to see if I can find any recipes using it.

  • @joel10000a Hi,I would try fish oil, shure,I have in the past, but Im more inclined to use the flax because of the additional benefits of adding to muffins, and cerials, just like you have mentioned:)

  • Don't worry so much about the amount of fish oil but instead look at the amount of "omega 3" in each serving.

Do a little research to figure out how much you want to use of the "omega 3" and then go from there.

You can get supplements that have been screened for impurities. You can even get a prescription for omega 3 now - it's called Lovaza.

I hope that helps. I've been taking lovaza for many months and have thrown my ibuprofin away.

  • Am J Clin Nutr. 2009;89(5). n-3 fatty acids receiving the most attention are derived from fish: EPA; 20:5n-3 and DHA; 22:6n-3. Limited data are available on plant n−3 ie ALA; 18:3n-3. Meta-analyses suggest EPA and DHA supplementation do not provide additive cardiovascular protection beyond standard care. No data exist on EPA, DHA or ALA supplement benefits for people already consuming vegetarian diets. There's insufficient evidence to recommend n−3 supplements for cardiovascular protection

  • You want a really good brain function and heart health.

Eat apples, nuts and take Mercury Free Fish oil everyday! Stay away from Caffiene.

  • I'm reading that omega-3 is amazing for the body! But i'm confused because some say you should take omega-3 softgel with high potency vitamins in the morning, then Im reading that fish oil (which is also omega-3) is required for good health.

So now im confused, do i take fish oil omega-3 fatty acids softgel or liquid, or do I take omega-3 fatty acids tablet/soft gel or do i take them both ?

  • The back of my bottle says that one serving (2 tablets) provides as much omega 3 fatty acids as 6 oz. of fresh fish and i take 1200mg and i take two servings a day (which is recomended on the bottle) so that is 4 soft gels a day.

  • Taking omega 3 healed me of eye allergy ive had for years.......im so amazed! After trying all kinds of medications....one month of omega 3 and my eyes are as white as snow. Im taking The Real Thing Omega 3 fish oil. Its like magic!

  • I have omega 3 capsules aswell ;)

  • I just wonder how much to take because I have 1000mg softgels but on the supplement facts on the back it says that 1000mg of fish oil concentrate and total omega 3 fatty acids is 300mg so i wonder if one a day is enough lol

  • I take 3 capsules of 1200mg per day (3600 total).

  • I take 2 fish oils a day.

  • I just started taking fish oil today and I love eating fish but I have never ate enough so now I am eating more and cutting out a lot of red meat!!

  • This video helped so much. I'll be taking fish oil everyday now. Thank you so much!

  • Oh, yes, me too!

  • how do more people not know about this wow?

  • Doctors are not taught much of anything about nutrition, and supplement benefits in college, and therefore they don't follow up in this direction when they start practicing medicine!

  • its too bad they only cure what u have but dont give life saving advice to everyone

  • They don't get paid for recommending over-the-counter products!

  • very true, i just started studying this and am figuring out more and more that they only want to push big time pharmacutical drugs which we don't even need a lot of the time, and can be cured with simple supplements

  • I started to take Omega 3 and I feel pretty good now. but i just started to but I hope i see some good results.

  • Good info.

  • Thats good!

    5/5.
