Great vid! So how do u guys find out drill points is there a table (math system) or just a certain # of points 2 choose from ? Or what Lol I'll prob. Neva c 1 anyway but still . Peace Out q;{>
Great video, I went searching today when a friend of mine was locked out of her room after getting her bag stolen. I went round and was able to get the lock open without destroying it. I originally drilled 17mm up and 5 across as in the video but found that I could only see the top of the levers, (lock wasn't a chubb but an Era) after drilling a second hole a little lower down and further towards the keeper I was able to lift the levers and turn the lock with a screwdriver! Thanks very much!
Chubb 3g114 and the114e difference can be identified by rotating the key way 90 degrees shining a light into the keyway and observing the visible gap at the base of the keyway. The 114 will have 2 mm, while the 114e will show a 6mm gap, do you know the drillpoints?
Can anyone tell me how you tell the difference between a Chubb 3G117/3G114 and a 3G117E/3G114E when looking through a door keyhole and having to decide on the drill points which are different on each. As far as I'm aware both sets share the same case colours, Bronze Metallic and Light Grey. Maybe I've gotten this totally wrong, in which case any tuition appreciated!
@tjpem72 Bobs an old locksmith who sadly passed away, and who I used to do vids for. All my vids now just start with 'Okay Bob'. Habbit I suppose. Plenty of places for tools, but if you want cheap look at the asia imported copies.

I agree, though it's really for when there is a fault with the lock perhaps, or when doing reposessions when a faster entry is required.
