  • Sadly, I feel like it will now be impossible for Nintendo to make a chronological sequel to Metroid now, since all the Metroids are dead and their home planet is gone; they'll probably have to make prequels and non-canon games in the series from now on:(

  • @AnimeSeigneurMatt Why not a sequel to fusion. The G.F. should be pretty pissed after what Samus did.

  • @TheUltimatum16 Maybe, but that's not the point I'm making: the very thought of a Metroid game with no Metroids just doesn't make sense to me. Besides, even if Nintendo somehow came up with a convincing story as to how anymore Metroids could be left, the first words that would come to my mind would be, "convienient plot device".

Those are my personal feelings anyway.

  • @AnimeSeigneurMatt You are right.Metroid simply can't be called metroid without any metroids. This can't possibly be the end the series.I don't know what Nintendo will do.Samus has pretty much destroyed all possible threats to the civilization. The Federation would be insane if they tried to betray her. She's the greatest bounty hunter to ever live.

  • @AnimeSeigneurMatt no theres still so much left unanswered in the metroid series. such as, what was the mysterious suit the SA-X gave samus after the omega metroid killed it? also, what new capabilities does samus posess now that she has metroid DNA in her (since nothing was really ever talked about in fusion)

there is still much, much more left to the metroid series <3

  • @WalkingWithStrang3rs I suppose that makes sense; it might be possible that the Federation will attempt to capture Samus (since she has the DNA of the now-extinct Metroids AND a new Power Suit created by the also now-extinct SA-X), and, as TheUltimatum16 so appropriately put it, the Federation WOULD be crazy to attempt that, but then again, they WERE stupid enough to try and control the obviously dangerous Metroids and SA-X, so it probably would make sense if that happened.

  • If i was Samus, after dealing with all the demands and tasks of the federation, and beating everyone of them...I could just attack them saying how bout you do all the work ive been through.

  • Music was good up till 1:39

  • The Prime trilogy has to be after Super Metroid, not before.

  • @nunobelo ummm it takes place before super metroid, and after metroid

  • @WalkingWithStrang3rs Your're right, I've replayed Metroid Prime and Zebes is still intact acording to the log book. The only confusing factor for me is Ridley. He's MetaRidley in the Prime games, but on Super Metroid he's just Ridley again...

  • @nunobelo yea, it is never explained why ridley re-appears in the metroid games, even though it seems to be impossible. But somehow, he manages the impossible ;)

  • @nunobelo i honestly dont get it either, i think ridleys just a badass.

  • TL;DR

  • This absolutely makes no sense at all Why does samus have a different ship in the MP3 but different in metroid fusion. It makes no sense also why is ridley never dead he comes back all the time

    can some one help me

  • @bLablAgodzilla360 there is always an explanation in the games for ridley coming back, sometimes it's just that the space pirates rebuilt meta ridley...again

as for the ship, I haven't played mp3, so I'm not sure what you're talking about with the different ship there, but in fusion, samus is infected with parasite x, and falls unconcious at the helm, drifting into an asteroid belt, so they gave her a new ship

  • Does Other M fit in somewhere between Fusion and uhm.... another metroid game?

  • @T0by24 No, Metroid Other M is between Super Metroid (Metroid 3) and Metroid Fusion (Metroid 4). There will probably be a Metroid 5, chronologically after Metroid Fusion - at last!

  • @T0by24 other m comes before the original metroid, and takes place while samus is still in the military

  • Comment removed

  • @T0by24 It takes place right after Super Metroid and before Fusion.

  • she died in the end ?

  • @hectorandrespv erm... noo...

i have played every metroid part (except pinball and hunters) and she never died^^

  • @Artezza94 u rite . she rules

  • @hectorandrespv If samus ever dies (Which I doubt will happen) It will be a suicide to end all of the galactic federation, ridley,a nd the metroids to join adam......but that's jsut how I feel it would happen

  • @hectorandrespv ...... no dude

  • THE WORDS WENT TO FAST

  • I thought the prime trilogy came after the events of metroid other m.

  • @VeXnusXV what NOOOOO XD

the prime games take place after the first metroid game

  • - Samus picked up a distress signal "babycry" with the a signal meaning the upmost urgenancy, Samus goes to investigate which is where Other M takes place, afterwards Metroid Fusion took place.

  • The Metroid Was cloned and Samus managed to destory all of the clones, Kraid, Ridley and various other enemy's the Space pirates had hoped would get in the way of Samus Aran, Samus found a remade Mother Brain deeper inside the planet, she destroyed was almost killed but saved by the last remianing Metroid, the metroid died trying to protect it's Mother, Samus Destoryed Mother Brain which led to the destruction of the entire planet, upon returning to the GF Flagship -

  • The Prime series then takes place, afterwards Samus was sent to eliminate all Metroids on the Planet SR388, she destroyed them all and recorvered the last Metorid; a baby who believed Samus as it's mother, Samus knew that the Galactic Federation were looking for new ways of develouping energy and handed the Metroid Hatchling into them for research it was stolen by Ridley and Samus wen't back to the rebult base on the Planet Zebes

  • Samus forced Mecha Ridley to self destruct and then had to escape the Planet in a Space Pirate Fighter ship she succeded in escaping this time, she attempted to return to the Galactic Federation flagship when she recived a distress signal coming from a Space Pirate ship, Samus went to investigate.

  • Samus then attempted to escape the Planet and thought it was time to relax so she took off her Power Suit, she was then shot down by Space Pirates, Samus surived the crash but lost her Ship and Power Suit, she was left with nothing more than a Stun Pistol, she then went through the Space Pirate ship that Ridley had came on, returned to Chozodia and claimed a new suit, she confrnoted Mecha Ridley who the Space Pirates quickly recrated after hearing about Ridley's Death

  • The whole base on Zebes* was to be destoryed, and the Metroids that the space pirates planed to use as Bio-Weapons had to go with it, Samus travled through the Planet Zebes picking up Suit Upgrade's the Chozo had left behind for her, she deafeated the giagantic homeworld creature Craid, and one of the Space Pirate leaders Ridley before wiping out several Metroid and destorying Mother Brain

  • Samus became a powerful fighter, however Space Pirates attacked Zebez and Samus was sent away from the planet for protection by the Chozo, later on in her life, she joined the Galactic Federation in order to put the abilties she had learned to good use, she performed many missions until finaly being given the Mission to return to Zebez, Mother Brain had been currupted and modified for use of the Space Pirates, they turned Mother Brain into their leader, higher ranking than Ridley.

  • @Mikie7500 the thing about the Mother Brain made sense. I remembered that the Mother Brain was portrayed as an ally to the Chozo in a certain Metroid comics. It offered the advice to the Chozo about the daily tasks and missions. Then, on Metroid and Super Metroid, the Mother Brain caused trouble. What you said made sense.

  • She then had to wear the Zero-suit at all times and if you look closely at the back of it, you can see pink dots that connect directly to Samus' lungs, the Zero suit effectivly takes in gases in the planet's atmosphere and converts them into Oxygen atoms, by the use of catalyst means, this enables her to survive, the Chozo gave her the Varia suit and taught her how to fight, Samus didn't get the hang of this until the planet was in danger which kicked in her reactions.

  • It all started when Space Pirates attacked Star Colony K2-L, they killed the entire planet's population; attempting to retrive fuel that the persons of K2-L were mineing to earn a living, they Mined them for the Chozo, Samus' entire family died on that day, Killed by space Pirates, she was taken in and raised by the Chozo, Samus then concidered Mother-Brain to be her mother, the Chozo geneticaly modified her DNA so that she was able to survive on the planet Zebez.

  • first one to get it right! good on you!

  • @Wolfiethree

There is just two metroids left after metroid 2

One is the baby one and the other one is on the B.S.L.

  • it was not an escap pod it was a pirat fighter me and mecha ridly self destructed

the chozo died trying to seal the seed and it happend 50 years ago. she was sent to ather to help brovo. what makes you think dark samus is the metroid prime. samus suit contanes her genetic code and phazon has biological propertys that all that energy became matter in samus image which explans why it is a suit and thar is nothing in the suit. the federation where unable to remove it completly it is fuised to her

  • Your timeline is absolutely correct! lol, seriously

  • 2 things.

1.i emailed nintendo and they apperently screwed up the timeline cause like zelda they said there is no true timline wich just doesnt make sense

2.i never did understand why at the end of metroid 1 the sentence said the galaxy is haunted by the other metroid.i thaught she was implying there was only one metroid left in the galaxy.no but instead it was haunted by not only 1 but a planet full of them and then a base keeping them.and plus samus becomes a metroid in super metoid.WTF!!!

  • omg thanks for the video! This was really helpful because i always wanted to know the story line :) THUMBS UP!

  • The MP trilogy is actually after Super Metroid. It said in the art book in MPT. Well, there aren't really any space pirates in Metroid (1987), but it said she fought through space pirates. It has to be after Super Metroid.

  • @samuskillsjj no, the prime trilogy takes place before super metroid because zebes is still intact during the prime games...

  • WHY ARE METROIDS STILL ALIVE IN MP3?

  • @JMouzone990 b/c it takes place during the original metroid timeline when she was tryin to kill all metroids

  • @JMouzone990 because it takes place after Metroid 1

  • AGAIN!

trained athlete gets 80% fast fiber to 20% slow twitch ratio in size

    It kills just jumping.

Squat and dead lift in power lifting is the king's exercise!

Plus, a fiber is not pure slow or fast! 45% variance in every fiber is from nature or the training and exercise which makes it purely credible to even increase you fast fiber in terms of actually converting the units!

Not only I can strengthen my fast fibers by increasing it

size, I could actually convert slow to fast!

  • @ Fpietros

    You fucking troll tranny!

YOUR DAD IS MY SLAVE WORKER AND LICK SHOES!, WHO THEN ABUSED YOU!

NOW YOU AND YOUR BROTHERS ARE CAGED!

ONLY YOUR SISTERS ARE REMAINING ON MY BED!:

    watch?v=ARFu_Jin66k

  • @Fpietros

"jump will be determined to a significant degree by the distribution of fast-twitch versus slow-twitch fibers"

Yes but if you train in squat power lifting, hard over time, you'll develop and strengthen more of your fast twitch fiber and get them bigger into a ratio of 80% fast twitch to 20% in size.

Individual Units can also be increase/convert slow to fast. It is not all genetics. 40 - 45% variance in the fiber are not all fast or slow twitch and significantly impact by training.

  • awsome. You really nailed the timeline but why does ridly and the others keep apearing. Are some clones made by the space pirates. Which one is the original one.

  • When I really think about right now, the extra aftermath portion of Zero Mission doesn't really seem to add anything to the timeline. I don't know what the developers wanted to do with it, but it lengthened the game a bit which was a nice idea I guess. The story is good and all, short, clear cut, and quite interesting, but I think the gameplay is the core part of the Metroid series all in all. To clarify, both story and gameplay make the series one of the best in gaming. Hurry up, Ninja Team!!

  • @thps48 It explains why Samus doesn't have shoulder pads for her Varia suit in the original Metroid but has them in Metroid II onwards. Zero Metroid fills in a lot of stuff like that

  • on 3 who are the hunters? i dont remember it...

  • @GiwrgosKoklas Rundas, the cool one (lololol), Ghor, the Metroid equivalent of General Grievous, and Gandrayda, who looks like Cortana, only purple. And she can shape shift.

  • looks like the space pirates clone ridley over and over and them rebuilt him over and over when r they ever gonna learn, clone samus the clones r the hardness part of metroid fusion and metroid prime 2 and 3

  • they would but than another bad ass bounty hunter would an might turn against them

  • your timeline is wrong... you missed one metroid game!

    metroid pinball, naaa just kidding!

    excellent vid i learned a lot =D

    5/5

  • you forgot the manga, it's a prequel that also tells the story of the original metroid game

  • screw everything that isnt part of the games, it just fucks the story line, this manga you speak of is like the animated star wars movie compared to actual star wars movies, all it does it mess with the storyline

  • @simeon62205 this video is obviously just for the video game series

  • @simeon62205 In my opinion, that manga sucks. It explains well the Metroid universe, but there are things that I just found ridiculous - the space pirates and Ridley speaking, Ridley acting like a king instead of a beast, Samus being too dramatic and raised in Mother Brain't home, etc. Metroid Zero Mission was based on that manga. And that extension after Mother Brain sucked.

Good thing they based the last games in Metroid 1 and ignored the manga.

  • @simeon62205 yeah the manga series tells the story before the first game when samus is a child and where the space pirates kills her family on her home planet then raised by the Chozo .

  • it would be better if it was all just slides and the text wasn't being typed , but its cool

  • ninty released an official timeline for metroid

unlike zelda which has no timeline

  • @foolmoi well zelda has a time line but it's just hard to tell

  • Ridley's re-birth in Metroid 3 (Super Metroid) is owed to the advanced clonage technology.

The original Ridley died in Metroid 1 for the NES and it was then rebuilt as a cybernetic-organism of the original creature.

The Ridley in Super Metroid is a clone of the original which was produced in a lab by the Space Pirates who had remained to Zebes when they tried to rebuild the Zebesian station and attempted to steal the hatchling metroid.

  • Best timeline on Youtube. 5/5

  • ur timeline has holes in it in Metroid Prime u r introduced to META ridley and roboticly enhanced version of ridley and in Metroid prime 3 u kill Mets ridley again and fight omega ridley who once u defeat dies and explodes into a cloud of phazon so then how is ridley not meta ridley reappear in super metroid?

  • how the hell am i supposed to know? its a video game! and if u may add, the games were made years apart! and nintendo (ALL GODS) made it, so blame them not me!!!

Apparently, whenever Ridley "dies" the space pirates rebuild him. i dunno, after all this time i would have just left him!

  • @Alzzer95 I always thought ridley was a clan/species. Or the highest current ranking member of the space pirates

  • Ridley is capable of rebuilding his body by devouring dead bodies. While he appears to explode or disintegrate in many appearances, the extent of his regenerative abilities (and possibly Space Pirate technology) is apparently sufficient to revive him anyway.

  • maybe, who nows?

    Space pirates ;)

  • You know metroid prime is actually supposed to be BEFORE metroid?

  • @OrganicTastesBetter No it isnt, this is the official timeline. but i guess if you think about it, it might work that way

  • Oh... well, okay.

  • @WalkingWithStrang3rs Dude. My comment was over two years ago. I was like.. 11. Someone already corrected me. Do you just go hunting for random comments from years ago? Seriously lol.

  • @WasteLandKing1 Ridley actually has the ability to regenrate dead tissue by eating dead matter.

  • @LLawliet435 oh yeah i read that in the manga

  • To answer "TheShoe1990's" question, Metroid Prime Pinball is a pinball version of the first Metroid Prime, in which it doesn't fit anywhere in the timeline.

  • Very nice video, after you got to Metroid 2: Return of Samus, things started clearing up for me and made sense.

I honestly can't wait for Metroid Other M. I mean I can still remember when Zero Mission came out. I was dying to play that everyday I came home from school but now that Other M is coming out I've never been so excited for Metroid game in my entire life.

  • oh well

  • where does Metroid Prime Pinball fit in?

  • pinball is a pinball version of metroid prime.

  • i bet nintendo planned the whole timeline then released the games different times to fuck are brians up but now there all coming together and soon teh last metriod game will fit in front of Fusion :(

  • yeah i think the same thing,it bugs me that they haven't continued after fusion in 7 years,7 years!!!This team ninja one should be that sequel,Prime is done, move on after fusion

  • @Xtr3men0b

    not really...

the games were released in order pretty much until prime which was released at the same time fusion was:

    Metroid>Metroid II>Super Metroid>Metroid Fusion/Metroid Prime>Hunters>mp2>

    mp3>Other M.

you can see that it's all in order. the prime series takes place immediatly after metroid 1 becuase super was supposed end the whole metroid story. but then Fusion came out and "re-ended" it. which the same reason other m is a prequel. at leats i think that's why.

  • @ephellCL Primes come after Metroid one because after Metroid II all the metroids have been destroyed

  • @Wolfiethree i know it does. if you read my previous comment(and the one that was responded to) carefully you'll see that it doesn't contradict the timeline. there's no need to question it. tthe time line in this vid is official. it's not like Zelda(Oh gosh!) haha

  • you enjoyed metroid prime more than the others didn't you?

i can tell you are aware of the timeline, still, you focus too much only on those you liked and the ones you didn't or at least didn't seem so good you just make them short.

sorry if it sounds rude, i'm not trying to be rude or a smart-ass, it's just the thought on my mind :)

  • ... This timeline does not make too much sense. The other M has to be near the beginning, because Fusion was definitely a direct sequel to Super Metroid, which is a direct sequel to Return of Samus, which is a sequel to Zero Mission. I think it is ZM-MPH-OM-MP-mp2-mp3-RoS-SM-F. It is obvious that MPH comes before SM because it mentions Zebes/Zebeth. Screw Nintendo's official statements, I'll play them in any order I want.

  • i for one don't believe metroid dread is gonna come out . if u haven't heard of it it takes place after fusion thats all i know . anyways they announced ot back in 05 i mean kmon it's been 4 years since it's been announced. there isn't even a fuckin trailer

  • nvm

  • but nice vid on the series timeline

  • Comment removed

  • Guys, if you want to know the order, CHECK THE DESCRIPTION! it IS CORRECT, and anyone who says it isn't is wrong.

When Metriod: Other M Comes out, i will take down this video and update it then repost it

  • At least add Other M in the description list. It´s between Super Metroid and Fusion.

  • KK i will. i meant: when it comes out, I will take down the video and add Other M's Part to the timeline

  • @Flash11I19 actually its kind of the last of the series

fusion is before zebes was destroyed

  • @themtm11

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU POOR IDIOT LOLOLOL

  • no hunters is after prime and before prime 2 by nintendo of america co.

  • I'm surprised that Nintendo of Japan has not made an official timeline. Plus, how could there be somehting between MP and MPH?

  • @DashRizer Wow. No. its after metroid prime XD

  • it did. but if u played super metroid it showed that from metroid 2 samus gave the people at ceres the baby metroid to study. they mustve got the cell from there

  • but, like, as soon as she left, she got a distress call that the space station where the metroid was was under attack.

  • i beet the game.i know how it goes.

  • therefore any cells that the scientists got(who died anyways) could not possibly have survived the explosion.

  • exactly.

seriously dont think about it to hard it may frie your brain.

  • WELL WERENT THERE MORE THAN 1 sa-x and when samus launched one of them into space.thus leaving it alive which means the game after fusion might have 2 kill the other sa-x

  • it blowed up remember.

  • imagine samus being a guy that would of screwed up the whole metroid series

  • well at the end of fusion she say SEE YOU NEXT MISSION which means theres something after fusion

  • @destinyfinder13 well, of course theres going to be games after fusion, theres too many questions unanswered, like the suit that samus gets from the SA-X at the very end of the game, etc.

(also, i think "see you next mission" is just Metroids 'signing off' phrase thing :D )

  • @WalkingWithStrang3rs Good point. She lost her varia suit at the beginning and got the fusion suit.It later integrated into a new varia and gravity suit.As for the one from Sa-x. I think it's to make her look like she did with the original varia suit

  • @WalkingWithStrang3rs No one knows why the Sa-X helped Samus at the very end

  • If they make another metroid game after fusion, it should deal with the last metroid or aether, or some other planet....

  • Isn't the last metroid dead?

  • yes but they had a cell from it so thing did something to it they mention accelerated growth somewere in metroid fusion so i geuss thats how they did it

  • Now the question is if their are going to be more games after fusion, or more games in between to show relationships...

  • i think it came after metroid prime 2. because the ships in the begigng of both games are the same. thay released the games not in the correct order. so it woulld be very confusing to understand.

  • oh alright, but I couldnt find what connects them.

  • What's the explanation that Hunters is after Metroid Prime? I don't see why it's there. I actually don't know where you place it. I just want to know why you placed it there.

  • Woah. Nice job. Clears a lot up for me.

  • good resumé of metroid! My favorite game was definitly Super Metroid. I never played Hunters though so I'm confused about the ending of corruption with a ship resmbling Sylux's. If i ever get a DS i'll make sure to get it.

  • yeah, hunters is a great game, i have got it and it plays very well, especially in multiplayer (however i use dual mode right i think, no stylus use, just buttons, it is a bit fiddly with the stylus)

  • You still have to use the stylus to change your weapon in dual mode. I like Hunters.
