He's a noodler, that's what I call guitar players who play a few notes then go on to something else. They play a few riffs then some chords and go on to something else. Stop noodling and play some meaningful solos and chord progressions of some kind that make musical sense. Rat-tat-tat then a few chords then rat-tat-tat-tat-tat again. Good technique but poor content even for just amp testing. You can learn something by listening to Peter Stroud from 65 amps.
He is, but he also demonstrates a lot of different styles in a short time. I found it useful to get to know this amp, and I don't really care if the riffs are a skillfully blended into eachother, or just played.
OP level 4 means he set the OutPut to 4 Watts. This amp can be set to either 4, 1, or 1/4 Watts. You asked if he had a EF86 in there, so I assume you why this option exists.
What can an amp do to change the sound of 1 guitar to make it sound like another? What does a Telecaster cound like in an AC4 and why do they sound the same in that amp if they are different in other cases? There is nothing I am aware of other than the bridge that is always different between the 2 guitars. They sound like one another, or rather the diversity among the range of 1 of them is the same as the diversity among them all. People seem to imagine they can discern nonexistent differences.
Excellent playing. Great choice of gear. I love those little amps, and the road worn series are the only fenders short of a CS that I'm remotely interested in
I'll probably have a couple questions for ya later guy. But wanted to drop a line and say thanks for the video! I'm strongly considering buying the head version of that amp (w/ Epiphone Cab) to use as a learning tool. But there aren't any in town yet. But this video already answered all the tone questions I needed to know!
It's a great instrument....I even compared it to my friend's real '65 Strat, and it is very close in feel and tone. Probably needs some setup to play right. Norman's Rare Guitars in Tarazana, CA has them on sale for $877 last Thursday.
The bass response is much better when you hook up a 12 inch speaker, but with the 10 inch its not bad...certainly more pronounced than my Fender Champion 600.
On a guitar with higher output (Humbuckers), this amp does heavy distortion....kind of sounds like Brian May of Queen. If you front end the amp with a clean boost or tube screamer, it will do very nice tube driven distortion with either a Strat or a humbucking pick up equipped guitar.
beautiful guitars aren't they? I just put a demo video up of The shadows "apache", I love this guitar...

Great job demoing the difference between the 3 different power settings, I've been looking for someone to do this.
I just bought the head and cab version, can't wait till it gets here.
