blessed! am aspiring to do 3d animation currently am a graphics designer and illustrator age 32, i get different opinions from friends abt this 3d field and am confused if i should start or am too late for this coz i want to make it my future proffession,advice pliz. THANX!

you are extremely inspiring. I want to work at animate at pixar with a burning passion. I am 16, and studying drawing. When I go to college I'll probably double major in digital media/marketing then go onto ringling to the animation program. Hopefully I'll be able to get into pixar within 12 years. And If I don't get in, well at least I persued something that I am passionate about and i'll fail with honor.

@GregariousGorilla Hey, you've still got about a year left to change course, and I just want to say: if you want to be an animator, DON'T learn about digital media/marketing. It will be a waste of time and money. Ringling is pretty good, but in general the student work doesn't have an emphasis on animation itself, but rather on the whole CG production pipeline. As far as I can tell, the best places for animation itself are the online mentoring schools, and Calarts and Gobelins.
