Wow that's a very nice motherboard, i love those motherboards that have the LEDs for temperatures and stuff. Split Second is pretty awesome. Even at 30 FPS, the game is crazy smooth and the gameplay is amazing. It runs perfectly on my computer :D
@matthewgutz No? If you have your current hard drive and you buy a new motherboard, you dont have to reinstall windows 7. Just connect the Hard drive connector and boot up the machine and it will work.
i just bought an external drive from fantom drive G-force i just wanted to know if i could run software off of the drive instead of my native HDD??? please reply :)
@messiBRC10ronaldo9RM As long as you can access the .exe file, yes you can. You can pretty much run any program well except of course, most operating systems.
Hey PCWizKid, if your motherboard would come with integrated graphics (in my case the Asus M4N98TD-Evo /w onboard video), could I have 2 nVidia GeForce GTS 250's in SLI and have the integrated graphics as a dedicated Physx?
Cheap boards are fine but when you're looking for a full sized board with crossfire and other nice features like this AMD 890GX based board and you're going to spend ~$100 anyway I say spend the extra %25-30 on an Asus or Gigabyte board and avoid the cheap brands. What board do you think is going to have better BIOS support down the road? I'll take a Gigabyte and spend an extra $30. But hey nice review as always.
@mrjamesb56 AM3 CPU on an AM2+ board, you don't loose all that much performance. The only drawback is slightly slower DDR2. So, it depends on your RAM.
so i can do crossfire and sli right ?

@Merts478 I don't think you can downgrade. Try running heavy applications? Like a game? Usually CPUs go to 800 Mhz when its on idle

pff. the ide connector is now pritty' much pointless. the cost of sata dvd burners compared to ide dvd burners is exactly the same, if not cheaper.
the next motherboard in this series should defiantly have more sata connectors in place of the ide connector.
just my 2 cents...
;D
