  • if they are that good why aren't they standard

  • exposure time FTW

  • what i wanna know is, why the fuck is that deer or w/e it is still standing their after you changed the bulb lol

  • @G00g284 i was thinking the same thing lmao.... i guess its a statue they put out there for an example.

  • The new LED light from Harley is even brighter and clearer than the Bi-Xenons on my Audi A4...Absolutely essential for the safest ride. It also came in very handy in western Wyoming on my roadtrip last fall! Can't wait to order my new A6 with LEDs to keep the best equipment in my garage.

  • @black986s The new 2012's have. At the time this was posted only the 2011 models were out, and LED headlights weren't available on 2011 models..

  • @flyingnitro

So by your definition, HID headlights also blind oncoming traffic as they put out over 3000 lumen compared to the 1650 odd that Halogen manages?

    Get real and educate yourself.

  • This is an illusion, they are not that much brighter than the standard halogens, because if so, the would blind the incoming traffic :/

  • Glare monster!

  • fake and illegal

  • How many mAh is need?

    Tnx

  • Ok non believers and those that can't tell the difference between a wooden fake deer with unfeasably straight front legs and a real life deer. View a film of the headlights shown here. Made by JW Speakers (not Harley Davidson) model 8700.

    Video. YEKYniZuc4Y

  • Guys guys... Before u start to believe... check at 1:28 and then sec after... the right side illuminated by some external light and the left side you can see a house... i can make my flashlight bright as hell to look on a photo... they are tricking you with the exposure. i am a photographer... search for long exposure night photos and you will see what am i talking about.

  • @hristijank2

    +1

  • @jokam85 sta ti +1 znaci? xD

  • @hristijank2 vote up :)

  • @jokam85 oh xD

  • @hristijank2 My thoughts exactly. The before/after images are only valid if the camera is using identical f-stop settings and exposure times. I'd also like to see lumen or lux values from a light meter before buying into this. It's interesting, though, that LED technology has finally advanced to the point that it can now seriously be considered for vehicle headlights.

  • @upajos yeah but, there are other LED's which theyoutput 5000 lumens... they work on 24-26 v... cree leds. but the ppl who are making headlights, they have to think about placing heatsinks, high reflective material and doin some math about the light bounce off... bcoz this isnt hunting light, u dont wanna blind everyone on the road.. xD this technology is new for that atm but id like to see it in future, bcoz it drains so little power for the amount of light they output

  • @hristijank2 I guess you could just go to the dealer and have him connect the wires without fitting and do your own side by side comparison, we are now using LED lights on our mini subs and they are very good, just depends on the manufacturer, our LED lamps cost 3 times halogen lights but much more reliable, so reduce our downtime.

  • @hristijank2 HD marketing are the King of liars

  • Does look suspect IMHO

  • lmao so fake.

  • Is that a Deer mailbox?

  • First things first. For all of you Windows warriors out there... get an education. These Harley Davidson headlights are the real deal. And they are over $500 for one headlight. (in most stores over $600). There is also a LED truck lamp that comes in the H1 Hummers for around $149 that will fit into a Harley headlamp. Use a little common sense and you will notice that the deer is in fact a decoy/archery target. Gotta love ignorance.

  • fake

  • 100% fake

  • Comment removed

  • To all those calling Fake etc.

Go and educate yourselves in the world of LED lighting. Audi already use LED for their car headlights.

You will not blind anyone as the light is focused unlike all those dangerous and illegal HID plug n play kits.

  • @ro63rto Sorry man this is 100% fake, look at the deer in the pic, he doesn't move at all when they switch the OEM lights to LED

  • @JonTheChron Really? Obviously it is a set they didn't go and look for a spot for a deer and then shoot the clip. The deer was placed there its part of marketing, the first thing I the buyer was reminded of is all the times I almost hit a deer, driving or riding. And do you even have a bike? let alone a Harley?

  • @mississippimud11xk I have a Ninja 1000 that I am retrofitting a bi-xenon projector setup to, If they want to show proof of functionality, at least show some realistic proof...

  • @ro63rto Sorry man, only top of the line audi models have LED headlights. As is audi R8 and such. 150,000$+

  • @JonTheChron Actually no. JWS makes legal LED headlights for vehicles such as the land rover defender and the jeep wrangler.

  • @JonTheChron If you would check your facts before you post, life would be easier for you. LED headlights are available in A6, A7, A8 and R8 lines currently. Half of those offerings cost significantly less than $150k

  • Fake shit, go and die.

  • No way :) Try and you see.The smd led lights is not for road, they are for in kitchen or room, garage itc...

  • You'll blind the car driver that's on the other side of the road and then he hits you because he gets blinded.

  • FAKE ! Just look in the right upper corner - there is another light, that becomes brighter with the LED!

  • @MikeBLR do you really think a company like harley davidson would false advertise?

  • super light, super bright....

Now i can turn blind the people along the road with my high light ^^

  • those lights are made by JW SPeaker not Harley

  • This video is misinformed. They are HID not LED. fail.

  • @TheDeduction

They are LED, if you listen to the video he says they are "solid state".

  • @SwollenBlade I'm reluctant to put a lot of stock in an ad. They certainly do -look- like HID lights- but i could also be 100% wrong. Last i checked LEDs were NEVER that bright so i instantly second guessed- also they don't show any of the good ol' innards! that would end any argument i could have

  • @TheDeduction LED technology changes every single day, I work in the truck parts industry and 4 major suppliers of ours are always outdoing eachother with brighter LEDs. Get with the times bro! I'm converting all of my bulbs/headlamps to led. They are better in every single aspect, expect head for snow conditions. BUT if you try the LEDs you will notice the light is so intense that they shine through snow cover. Halogens are becoming a thing of the past.

  • @minidakota318 lol Halogens ARE a thing of the past. Xenon blows it away- I just figured LED lamps in motorcycles hadn't come THIS far- seeing as you'de need some cooling system for it or it burns out

LED are cold as hell dude ^^

  • @TheDeduction The newest white XM-L series LEDs from Cree Research ARE that pright. They've set a new benchmark for the technology.

  • @TheDeduction Hope this explains: Hids are put behind a mirror cone(or projector also called) to capture lost light and to evenly distribute light across the road without disturbing other drivers constantly. Some car manufacturers also use a projector for normal halogen headlight bulbs. This is the same exact thing. The manufacturer just used a projector on the LEDs to just make lost light reappear. Audi does the same type of thing with their LED headlight on the A6, A7, and A8.

  • Now you can get out to deer hunting whit this one ... Can i buy only the headlight or i must get a harley too before ? Cuz i think on mounting it on a future Suzuki Bandit . And btw , if its so powerfull , isn't the electric system strugling to turn it on ?

  • notice the yard light on the right of the screen. OEM light; the portion of the yard that is illuminated by the porch light is barely visible(1:25). LED light; the portion of the yard that is illuminated by the porch light be comes bright(1:25).

  • @sindrone26 Yup, pretty good evidence that they're messing with the exposure, brightness, contrast, or all three to exaggerate the brightness of the LED lights. Yes, LED are much brighter than stock, but that made it look like the lights on a freaking 747 or something.

  • This looks absolutely fantastic and exactly what I've been looking for to replace the piece of junk headlight my Suzuki came with from the factory

  • is that a deer shaped mailbox?

  • @paintballgundown8 nooo thats a real deer!!!

  • @paintballgundown8 Even if it were , which it isn't acording to saltwater... , think of how many bikers will try to avoid it , and end up crashing :)

  • THERE GOES ANOTHER (H)UNDRED( D)OLLARS!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS HD :) NO PRICE TAG ON SAFETY...LOOKS VERY CLEAN ALSO ON BACK ORDER UNTIL MAY 26TH HOWEVER...
