Modern medicine is barely beginning to even acknowledge the full impact that nutrition has on the prevention of disease and basic nutrition is still not a required course of study for most medical professionals. If we want to continue making strides we need to stop focusing on our differences and think about the similarities of our philosophies and goals. We need to become a united front if we our going to revolutionize the way things are done.
I love your approach. Far too many people get caught up in the details and being "right" and lose sight of the bigger picture. Whether or not we agree on what optimal nutrition is, we must embrace that we are working for the same cause. We're promoting the act of conscience eating. Anyone encouraging others to make an effort to eat better, research where their food is coming from and what impact it may have on themselves or the environment is certainly helping us to move in the right direction.

You know, I think the larger part of healthful eating has to do with knowing what you want. It seems people who are less happy, emotionally stable, aware and curious, eat worse because there's so much physical, mental and emotional MUCK around what they really want. I think that eating well is a lifestyle change because you wouldn't be able to keep up a good diet if you didn't want to. We have to explain, go to the roots, so that people really want to eat well and they know why they want to.
