  • beautiful masterpiece...! <3

  • this will be played at my wedding ceremony and nooooo I'm not a twilight fan, I didn't even know it was in one of the movies since I've never watched one

  • esta cancion es hermosa.. me suena a cuento de hadas a fantacias.. no puedo explicar lo qe me pasa x la cabeza cuando la escucho! es .... MAGICA..

  • oh dear....I don't play the song nearly like this at all! OOPS! This sounds great.

  • It's too bad people only recognize beautiful music like this when it turns up in movies, tv shows or commericials.

  • 10 persons should die

  • I fucking hate when stupid cuntshit fangirls relate this master piece with twilight.

    Fucking fairy

  • Twilight ? Ocean's 11 douchy vampire

  • it make my cry when it ends :(

  • MAKE ME FLY

  • Of all the versions of this song, I truly believe this artist's interpretation to be the most superb I have ever heard. I have loved this tune since childhood and found it to be soothing during bad times. Now I feel it in an entirely new way...always seems to be a moon involved for me. So beautiful and now a whole new generation is discovering it.

  • @laelamarie1 Yes this is a very beautiful version, and your words are very well said.

  • @laelamarie1

It's dfferent altogether, but listen to this version of the piece - it's got a beautiful cello accompaniment that adds a whole new dimension entirely :)

    /watch?v=7iTooBstsnY

  • :33 :) outgoing:):)

  • Also used on "Frankie and Johnny"

  • Some day, when i have a baby, he or she will listen to this song every night, it's so peacefully !

  • Can you feel it?... That does no exist... is from another universe...

  • somehow when i listen to this, i think of the zelda's games

  • Debussy is magic

  • I like listening to metal but first listened to this kind of music is a masterpiece, I can not describe the emotions just listen for a while at night on my roof terrace watching the moon....incredible

  • i dont see whats wrong with twilight, i know its not the best movie but i like it, its a romantic movie...and i think is great they use music of such an artist as debussy, i really dont understand whats the problem with that!

  • Did'nt some of the first astronauts that went to the moon listen to this in the Apolo 11, 12, etc.? Is there anyone old to remember them???

I am and I remember that this song was played inside their space craft. Can't you just imagine looking at EARTH and the MOON while listening to this beautiful song?

  • Why twilight... uggg... :(

  • @HeiraFandub indeed

  • 8 people are werewolves and they dont want to be transformed.

  • to all the people hating on Twilight. Dont you just like that people are hearing this because they heard it from Twilight and want to hear it and stop listening to the wierd stuff they putt on this days I LOVE TWILIGHT. And they are not the reason i heard this i heard this since i was in 4th grade when i was looking for Chayanne. but it had Cloude Debussys' : Clair de Lune i heard the BEUTIFUL melody and started listening to it. So stop hating on Twilight. THANK YOU.

  • I LOVE THIS KIND OF MUSIC AND I'M ONLY 13 SOON TO BE 14 I DON'T CARE WHERE I HEARD IT FIRST. I JUST CARE THAT I ENJOY IT. AND THAT'S ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS WHEN SOMEONE HEARS MUSIC.

  • i believe that music is ment to be felt... it doesn't matter where you heard it first, or whom you relate it to... as long as it makes you FEEL... i believe that debussy or any musician for that matter would agree with me....

  • First appearance of this piece in a film was in Federicko Fellini's E la nave va

  • Comment removed

  • Even at full volume it can't capture all its beauty!!

  • la rola esta chida pero la kagaron por ponerla en esa mierda de pelikula de Twilight"

  • y the hell do people put this AMAZING song into TERRIBLE MOVIES like Twilight...in my opinion, this song is 10 TIMES BETTER SIMPLY HEARD by one's ears than heard as the background music of some shitty film...btw..AMEN to squirtpert and hinasakukimi

  • Beautiful Slow Intercourse to this. HA! What a day that shall be.

  • I don't give a shite about twilight, or whether people sincerely love this music or not. At least more people know about Debussy's masterpiece, whether that be through a film or not. Maybe you first heard this song in an advert, heard it in a shop or your parents played it, surely that's not much different from hearing it in a film :)

  • Yes, it should be associated with Ocean's 11 rather than Twilight. XD

  • Do you know who's the pianist?

  • my soul was taken out from his body

  • you are wrong... it's needed for the song to end, because the end is an important part... the silence after the last notes stop their sound... that's when you come back to earth

  • so serene im in love

  • So beautiful. Thank you for sharing it :)

  • I can't learn how to play this song…but I will try& practice!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • You cannot be stressed out while listening to this.

  • And who is playing?

  • LOL....no1 gonna believe this but i saw this off of Nick Diaz's twitter. kinda funny or maybe ironic as well :-P

  • At 4:54 it starts sucking.

  • from this older, classically trained Human...the object is that this exquisite music is known...and is played. And sets millions of hearts ablaze with its genius...isn't it?

We can only hope it will continue to inspire countless generations and that those who hear it because of Twilight...will seek more. More background of the composer, the music itself, other classical pieces...and that will suffice. They don't write this music because they lack training and...talent, frankly. Peace.

  • not that this matters to anyone in particular but this is my mum and dads special love song and they play it every anniversary over dinner. they've been together 42 years now. <3

  • hey hey, calm down. i see your point, i think you might be right about fangirls thinking, ed composed this or whatever, still i think the "disgrace" lies rather in the ignorance to everything else they did, be it radiohead or debussy. what i hate is those girls who say "i like this cuz its from twilight, but i dont like the artist himself"

  • siento que no puedo disfrutar la belleza solo............

  • It should be illegal for this song to end.

  • well played.

  • why don't young artists make masterpieces like this? why don't they forget about the fucking money, that ugly thing, that makes us dumb sluts? why don't they just... forget about everything... and make art? just wondering, you know...

  • So oder so ist das Leben

So oder so ist es gut

So wie das Meer ist das Leben

    Ewige Ebbe und Flut

  • beautiful song =)

  • i like this alot :)

  • I'd never heard of Twilight until now but yes, it's annoying when people associate wonderful music with Hollywood nonsense. How's about making a video using that music from The Lone Ranger?

  • Isn,t life beautiful sometimes

  • @capitanobush always :)

  • twilight??? hahahaha twilight its absolutely shit! this is a classic! respect for this masterpiece! i hate twilight fans and her vampire faggots ¬¬

  • @gallinamocha I'm with ya ;)

  • @gallinamocha No insultes, que soy fanatica. Ya sabes por meterte tus palabras

  • @gallinamocha believe me I understand your sentiment as I am no Twilight fan but I apprediate that it at least opened the door for a generation who seems to not listen to classical...so it was a good thing. Now perhaps they will listen to other beautiful music as well. :)

  • I love it!!

  • a master piece :)

  • one of the worst versions of this on the net.

  • @paranoia526 this is the original dude

what versions do u listen to oO

  • Did anyone else hear the missing note?

  • exelnte cancion lo mejor del imprecionismo te transporta realmente

  • this was also in south park episode "about last night"

  • @spactick : I had the same kind of experience myself about a month ago. The Philadelphia Museum of Art was having a Renoir exhibit, and to experience it you received a pair of headphones to give you a guided audio tour. In front of one of the paintings, they played this song for you to hear. Between "Clair de Lune" and one of Renoir's masterworks, it was something I'll never forget.

  • im currently learning this piece. the tempo is so slow yet my fingers still cant keep up. getting there though, slowly but surely

  • I just went to a huge art exhibit in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The work was of Monet, Manet, Seurat, Renoir etc;. And they had this playing in the background. It was wonderful. It was almost like you were back in the 1880's.

It was really a drag leaving that show. I wished Rod Serling had showed up and ushered us off for a few hours to the Twilight Zone in 1880 Paris. I would have bought a few paintings and immediately sold them. :)

  • one of the most beautiful songs of all time in all categories/genres

hands down if u know what real music is

  • The music was played at my godmother's funeral. I forever tear up and sniffle

what a beautiful composition for a wonderful woman.

  • amazing..............

  • this is said to be michael jackson's favorite sing

  • @mjacksonlover18 i mean song lol

  • wasnt this also used in the movie " UP" ?

  • its a shame such a piece of beautiful artwork be put into a terrible movie

    im talking about twilight

  • Alsolutely beautiful.

  • @lunab4

made me really sad when you said that

hope your ok and may your sister rest in peace.

  • beautiful :)

  • This has always been one of those songs that I've loved everytime I've heard but didn't take notice of it till I heard it when I was watching Man on Fire. That movie has such an awesome soundtrack.

  • @nicoleflower1 same thing here. i first noticed it on man on fire, then twilight, then Malcolm in the middle. ive become so attached to it.

  • If you found this song thanks to Ocean Eleven, Thumbs up

  • wow - and i do not intend for twilight to get any wow. but it can have a sticker with a smiley face because i'm just so generous. sorry... i'm high on debussy :D when you are the moon...

  • Twilight idiots get out!!!

  • I would love to learn this beautiful piece of music

  • Now whenever I hear this, I feel offended that people associate this absolute classic with Twilight. I just... ugh, I can't even put into words how frustrated I get when I see Bella's Lullaby or some shit containing Twilight using THIS amazing piece. I'm so sorry for Debussy... I wish his work was taken more seriously, not for obsessed Edward or Jacob fans to rant on and on about how romantic this is for him and Bella. Just appreciate the music Debussy spent time and effort on creating, please.

  • @hinasakukimi Oh Myyyyyyy Gooooooooooooddd!!!!!! Is this the song from Twilight????? I've been trying to find it everywhere thanks so much for pointing this out!! OMG you have no idea how much i love twilight and this song is twilight to me.... i can just picture bella and edward together listening to this...... did edward write this??? I can't wait for the next twilight ... hopefully the music is as good as this!!

  • @bradrotube

... Get out of my house. -_-

  • @bradrotube

This piece is the third movement of four part piece by Claude Debussy: "Suite Bergamasque." You can find the other movements around here on Youtube, also nice pieces. I'd suggest listening to more of Debussy's piano works, and even give his instrumental works a listen too.

  • @hinasakukimi im glad i never heard the twilight version in my life

i will do everything not to listen to it, so it couldnt ruin the original one

i guess im pretty right with that decision

  • @CarlitoJohnson Oh, please, avoid it like the freakin' plague! Debussy never woke up one day and said 'Oh, I know, I'll make a legendary masterpiece that I hope in a few years time will be associated with sparkly vampires and cutesy werewolves. THAT'S my ultimate dream.'

    *Sighs*

  • @hinasakukimi amen

  • @hinasakukimi I quite agree, but you should look at it this way: the one thing that the makers of Twilight had, was a good taste in music =D Yiruma, Debussy, it's all wonderful music =)

  • @RefluxRepresentative with that i have to agree. good taste in music they have. at least imo i like a lot of the musics there, but i feel really bad that that music will be forever tainted being associated with such a bad movie...

  • @judeu true, but that happens with the best of music.. think of it this way: when the movies are forgotten, the music will still live on.

  • @hinasakukimi I think isn't very important if people associate this music with Twilight! rather is a good thing that more people know this beautiful song because of Twilight ;)

  • @hinasakukimi i understand how you feel, but not only about this piece. i have to admit that the choice of music in twilight is quite amazing, for example muse, radiohead and iron and wine are really amazing..

  • @SaiChester what the fuck are you putting them in the same boat as Debussy for? They definitely don't belong there. You evidently don't understand whatsoever how she feels, since she thinks it's a disgrace the way people are thinking this song was written by edward cullen or something.. Movies like Twilight that create ridiculous undeserved pandemonium are going the scourge of the planet

  • @hinasakukimi Amen

  • @hinasakukimi I know it's irritating, but just think that it's making Debussy's music accessible to people who might never hear it otherwise.

  • @carrotjuse Agreed but i also disagree, this piece in particular shouldve been known for its beautiful sound not because of some teeny-bopper flick with vampires thrown in it for the hell of it. Debussy deserves far better then that and should be respected abit more then having to entertain a bunch of brain dead teens that don't even know what this is. that gos for any other misused classical masterpiece. but i guess your right in the aspect that it can be introduced to a wider audience

  • @AgentOrange921 Disney, Warner Bros-Looney Tunes, Universal-Walter Lantz and other studios used classical music in cartoons to introduce classical music to the masses. Look up "What's Opera, Doc?", "Rabbit of Seville," "Corny Concerto," "Mickey's Grand Opera," "Musical Miniatures," "Fantasia" and many others on You Tube. Granted that the movie is silly pap, but if it gets a few kids interested in classical music, as it seems to have done, then i support it. Just don't make me watch it.

  • @hinasakukimi YOUR OPINION IT'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT...BUT THIS PIECE NEVER HAD BEFORE SO MUCH POPULARITY.....AND ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF THIS FILM...YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY INSTEAD FRUSTRATED 'CAUSE YOU'RE A DEBUSSY FAN...AND HIS MASTER PIECE NOW IT'S LISTEN ALL ARROUND THE WORLD!!!

  • @kik2574 Clair de lune was known world wide before Twilight EVER came along, it didn't really need any help. Plus, I DO like that more people know about this now (like teenagers and shizz) but it also frustrates me that people instantly associate this classic with Twilight, because I'm SURE Debussy had sparkly vampires in mind when he made this. If people just chilled out and weren't like 'THIS IS THE SONG FROM TWILIGHT, BEDWARD FTW!!' then I'd be okay with it, it's just a lil' insulting to me.

  • @hinasakukimi YEEAH!!! I AGREE WHIT U...I'M NOT FAN OF TWILIGHT SAGA...BUT WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT PEOPLE WHEN THEY ASSOCIATE THE SONG WITH THE FILM....??? THEY'RE TEENAGERS!! MAYBE THEY'LL LEARN TO HEAR GOOD MUSIC....!!!!!! DON'T YA THINK????

  • @kik2574

I agree with what you and the others are saying, but please, turn OFF the caps lock. it's unappealing to the eye and makes others take you less seriously.

  • @crzyjap0081 wtf!!!! oooh poor baby!!! you're gonna get blind....'cause of the CAP LOCK....PUSSY GROW A PAIR GROWN-FAG!!!!

  • @hinasakukimi i dont see whats wrong on knowin a song because of a movie, doesnt matter what movie is it, i first heard this song on Man on Fire, it would be the same if i just heard it from Twilight, the important thing is that people heard it, and liked it, doesnt matter what movie from,

    sorry for my english,

    Chao

  • @TheJavsil I agree with it my fellow countryman! and even people that has only heard this masterpiece from Twilight for first time, they just recognize its beauty, originality, quality...It's a genuine appreciation of it nonetheless

  • @hinasakukimi yeah i feel the same, it's too sad for me, i love this song and i hate when associate her with that movie . =[

  • @hinasakukimi I honestly could not agree more...

  • Ah...Shrimp and crab stuffed grouper, mixed veggies, rice pilaf, 79 Chard, candles and a BJ....... ok and VISE A VERSA!!!!

  • This is also at the end of a movie called Tokyo Sonata. It's a great movie and beautiful scene, check it out.

  • So beautiful, thank you.

  • beautiful.

  • Uhm...I think that this piece has such a profound sense of love, perhaps romantic, or simple the ability to love. and that the producers of Twilight thought that a classical loving vampire is Hot...and i guess they were correct. I'm not mad at twilight fans for seeing classical in a new light. Just don't pretend that you've loved classic your entire life to impress people.

  • people like music because it gives them a certained feeling or because it reminds them of something. I think twilight is a great love story and this song reminds me of it. but that does not make me a tweet or anything, cause I call it claire de lune and not bella's lullaby... I understand it is frustrating but you're just mean if you say things like that

  • why cant "twilight fans" have liked classical music or this song in particular before they watched twilight?

i hate people like you who think stuff like that

  • @lunab4, you've captured the true beauty and essence of this piece in what you said.

  • This is one of those songs that actually sounds better as a piano solo than when it's played by an orchestra. Chopin composed a lot of songs like that. Without a doubt, this was Debussy's best. An absolutely beautiful piece of music.

  • Comment removed

  • it was also in Man on Fire :) Where did you get such beautiful lunar pictures?
