Let's see . . a vampire protecting a human girl from another vampire. And he thinks it best they aren't boyfriend and girlfriend. . . I've never seen anything in literature or otherwise that has been so openly ripped off like this story. How can that be?

@FifiArnoldOhmonoB13 uhhm.. no. If you read TVD books, you'll figure out, that the tv serie is totally different. The serie is just based on the books. Actually according to the books, Stefan should look more like Damon does in the tv serie and Elena like Caroline. The tv version of Stefan and Elena are clearly inspired by Edward and Bella. They obviously tried to find someone, looking a bit like Robert Pattinson, if you ask me.
