  • TO: adamkratt and your "family"...On behalf of millions of people who are classified as Christians and who love Israel and pray for her; I would like to repent before you for horrific crimes committed against your people ... throughout history in the name of “Christianity.” We have sinned against G-d and against you.

  • Umn dont want to upset you but contemporary Israelis have very little real relationship to the Biblical Jews. Research a little more. i d recommend a book called "The Invention of the Jewish people". Its not as aggressive as the title suggests and clears up a lot of misunderstandings that both Jewish and non-Jewish people have about the history of Judaism. But I like your sentiments and hope we can all pray and act towards peace not only in Israel but worldwide.

  • ~continued~ We have not lived according to the mandate give to us by the scriptures’ to love G-d with all of our hearts, and to love our fellow man as we love ourselves. May G-d Grant you the ability to forgive us and may we be brothers and sisters again.

  • ~continued~ For we owe you much. Through you G-d gave us the Torah, the Prophets and the Books of Wisdom and the revelation of the one true G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is because of the truth of the Holy Scriptures that we have a heritage a destiny, a hope and a compass for living. Millions of us want to bless you and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

  • Lm

  • mmmm potato pancakes.

  • Beautiful arrangement! Chanukah s'meach!

  • I'm 1/4 Jewish and I know that this isn't the prayer for Hanukkah! Trust me. And it isn't even the correct tune. Dude, I CELEBRATE HANUKKAH. Happy Hanukkah! Sorry I was rude.

  • Screw all of you guys I am an athiest Bwahahaha!!!! :)) I get to be free!!!!

  • @EstrellaOlmos Freedom is not the lack of rules/boundaries, but realising where those rules/boundaries exist.

  • @kd5tmu I agree with that statement, but as in free I mean I don't have to waste my time on some silly fake man who tortured, raped, and killed people. You of course are never free no matter what but what doesn't exist is a magical man that can grant your wishes. PARt 1

  • @kd5tmu I my self believe in things that may not exist but where there is actually "Proof." They are called aliens. And in your case that may sound silly until you actually do enough research and watch enough documentaries to be able to believe their might actually be another life form in the universe. So you are never free but I believe that to what extent of free is that there is more time on my hands, and I don't have to obey a man that kills people. So there you have it. :)) PARt 2

  • @EstrellaOlmos sorry about you being an atheist, this is sad for you, you have nothing to believe in. (Not being rude) I just feel sad for you. I hope the Living G-d opens your heart to Him.

  • actually the ninth candle is the shammash or 'helper' candle that all the others are lit by- eight days because it took 7 to cleanse the temple so that it was clean on the eighth and G-d provided enough oil for all eight days

  • I have had the honour partaking in Saders, as well as celebrating Bar and Bat Mitzvahs...

    ...as well as Hannukah...

    Now THERE's a party!!

    G-d/Messaih/Jesus is/are love <3 :)

    Happy Fourth!!

  • i Loveee Jewish people. Happy Hannukka to you all :-)

  • mnhzmazingrace, Thank you for your attempt at constructive criticism. May I recommend reading the Bible? That would surely help you in your research. Reading my post again I see no confliction, maybe you could help me with that. My comment was in responce to another post, It may help if you read the other post to understand.

  • The impressiveness of the Menorah miracle was that like the Burning Bush of Moses, it "burned without burning", a disproof to the Greek philosopher Aristotle who said "A thing cannot BE and NOT BE at the same time & place". Interestingly enough today's quantum physics has given this a mathematical basis!

  • My friend is a Jew.:)

  • The words mean "How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity".

  • @TriciaAgnew

Thanks so much for the translation!

  • @exposed97 The Bible does not say any where that you have to be a christian to go to heaven. If that were true Jesus would not be in heaven, HE WAS A JEW! Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the father but by him (John 14:6). Not ones religion. MANY jews believe in Jesus.

  • @frugalgreengirl, you give a conflicting post. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the father but by him (John 14:6). HE is the only way to Heaven where He went to prepare a place for us ... I might recommend

...blue letter bible dot org ... all one word if you replace the "dot" with a . When you type in the search option it'll help out a whole lot in your research!

  • @mnhzmazingrace We Jews do not need some Mithraic Magi invented half human half diety... We follow GOD not some Roman created evention call Jezeus

  • I'm a Christian but when I have a family, I plan to raise them with both Jewish traditions and Christian ones. Jesus was raised with those same Jewish Traditions and I think they're important.

  • @jeangeniex3, there is nothing more fulfilling than worshiping with Messianic Jews! They finally know the Servant Light personally!

  • In the begining of my teens I often danced hora to this song.

For many dacades I couldn't find this song... and NOW it was in my chapter I accidently hit this button. So pleased to have found it ... like bumping into an old love.

    SHALOM V'HAG SAMEAH LANU "-"

  • This was wonderful. Thank you.

  • What is this deepening and beautifull soundtrack?

    Is it available on cd?

  • The 9th candle in the middle represents Meshiac, also called the "servant" candle. The sevant candle is used to light the oher candles.

  • how awesome, we cant wait for chanukah to come around again, oh and to sk8rvader and jesuspaid4u, some jews believe in Yeshua as Messiah. We must be careful because the christian messiah (jesus) is not meshiac. The fact that jesus breaks Torah disquilifies him as messiah, but Yeshua does not break Torah. Dont get jesus and Yeshua twisted, one is an imposter!! Dont mix YHWH with paganism as the christians did. Shalom

  • the song is so soothing

  • Yes, i really like it even i am a muslim but i still rejoicing my ancestor festival.... Its remind me to my root.....

  • Gràcies! Sóc agnòstic i és la primera volta que escolte la cançó de Khanukà perquè acabe de llegir el diari d'Anna Frank i necessitava escoltar-la. És preciosa. Mil voltes gràcies.

  • thank you

  • hey dude, why do you search the festival of lights then write about jesus... clearly if you do not already know jews do NOT belive that jesus was the messiah and that he was not Gods son. now maybe you should keep your comments to your self because there are alot of people our there that WILL verbaly abuse you.

  • A MEN

  • Blessed are you, Lord our God, king of the universe, who has kept us alive and sustained us and enabled us to reach this season

  • Shalom

  • The ninth candle is the shamash (servant) candle from which all the other candles are lighted - on the first night one candle is lit plus the shamash, then each night another candle is added until on the last night all candles are lighted to celebrate the purified oil that burned not for one night but eight nights, allowing time for the purification of more oil - Happy Hanukkah!

  • hineh ma tov is from the Psalms 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" The lights represent the eight days the oil lasted after the Macabees recaptured the Temple. They only had one sealed jar left of the consecrated oil. Taking 8 eights to make another batch of consecrated oil, they decided to light the Temple Menorah anyways. It burned for eight days--the miracle. check Bk Macabees & John 10.22

  • WHAT MEANS 9CANDLES of MENORAH?

  • I'm no Jewish scholar but I believe they represent the nights the oil lasted when the Macabees defended the Temple.

  • thank you ? MACABEIS was JEWS too?

  • Comment removed

  • @s0niac No, Read my other posting here.

Also, research Sabra & Shatila Genocide at the hands of Ariel Sharon almost 2100 years later. Most likely in the same fashion except that Plenty of videos of the 1982AD Massacres are available here on YT.

  • Eight of the candles represent the eight days that the oil -- only one day's supply -- endured while fresh oil was being prepared for the Perpetual Light in the Temple.

The ninth is called the "Utility" ("Shamash" in Hebrew -- also translated as "servant") and is used to light the others.

Some interpretations suggest that the Shamash -- which stands apart from the rest -- might have additional symbolism...

Happy Hanukkah!!! May their light illuminate all the world!

  • @arual1969 its 8 candles, the shamash (the long one) in the middle isnt really counted as a "nintth" candle

  • @arual1969 There are 8 nights of Hanukkah commemorating the 8 nights that the the oil lasted in the lamps, when only one nights oil was available. The nineth candle is the "Shamash" or helper candle. You use the Shamash to light the other candles.

  • @stevenrterry Thank you for sharing me!

  • @arual1969 The center candle represents the Living G-d, The Light of the world.

  • This is nice.

  • I'm a Christian and have Jewish friends and I go over to his house for Hannukka and i really enjoy it.

I'm actually considering changing my religion / faith.

I respect other peoples beliefs and religion and that means a lot to me and my friend.

    xxx

  • @bogen1050

As a Christian a follower of The Messiah, The Christ, The Anointed One, we are to embrace our Jewish Roots not convert to Judaism. Remember Jesus is Jewish from the lineage of King David. Jesus is Lord and Many Messianic Jews serve Him as such. Also The first followers of Christ were Jewish! I love My Jewish Brethren They are the keepers of the Light!

  • @viewer7g, there is nothing more fulfilling than worshiping with Messianic Jews! They finally know the Servant Light personally!
