Sorry to say this, but although I don't necessarily believe in reincarnation, it's kinda useful for explaining suffering.The disciples question at John 9.2 assumes it was part of the disciples' thinking ; Jesus answer strictly neither affirms or denies reincarnation in general (but then is their question historically accurate, or just put in their mouth for Jesus to give His punchline? Depends on what you think of John's Gospel as history.) Atheist don't believe in the paranormal. WHY?
These are doubts that most anyone has, Theist or Atheist. What you do, and how you reflect on these issues usually determines how you feel about the issue afterwards. Your concern has a lot to do with why I am an Atheist now. I would be attentive to the exchange between the Rational Dawn group and Atheists, however. You can learn much in the way in philosophy of religion, and solidify your understand and perspective. Great video.
do you have any recommendations? my field of study is not in philosophy.
the reasons given are not based on philosophy, they're based on what my genuine doubts are and why i have those doubts given what i read in the bible. i know philosophy can "resolve" these doubts by positing "greater goods" which our minds can't understand but i don't regard such possibilities as plausible given the nature of the biblical god, especially when one considers how he has interacted with people in tha past
@theman77777777232 Hey, theman. I'm still christian though my doubts still persists, especially on the issue of divine hiddeness. I've stopped making videos because i no longer have a camera and i'm also at the end of my academic career hoping to finish it well. Maybe in the future i'll get one and start making videos again. Best to you :)
@epaminodas forgot to answer: I have been studying some philosophy and listening to a lot of christian apologetics debates against muslims, atheists, agnostics and read books by mcdowell strobel etc.

Oh man.... There is just so much to say. I want to make a video response but I don't know if I even have that much time. I'll see what I can do.
I can email a PDF of a good book and send you a link to another good book that is on the internet for free. Just PM me your email address.

@epaminodas
Have you been studying philosophy over the past year? I noticed you stopped making agnostic vids. Has your faith strengthened my friend?

Are you really satisfied with theistic defenses against the evidential problem of evil?
