My friend's dad is from Australia...he tells me about the $16/hour minimum wage over there, and the insane employee benefits that companies offer. @c0lezilla Actually Their fangs are long enough its just that Humans have a natural immunity to their venom. Cool huh. Another cool fact is that even though the kimodo dragon makes no poison the bite is extremely toxic. Its because of the bacteria that collects on their teeth. Pleasent Dreams :)

The Northern Tree Dwelling Funnel Web Spider is twice as big as the Sydney Funnel Web, thus has twice as much venom (and it's venom is more toxic), making it the deadliest spider in the world! On top of that, it is extremely aggressive and never gives dry bites unlike the Brazilian Pink-Footed Wandering Spider. Both the male and female are as deadly as one another, it's fangs are around 3cm (1 inch) long and males go wandering as well. Luckily, it lives in an unpopulated area of Australia.

The most deadly (in terms of venom) is the Brazilian Pink-Footed Wandering Spider. Probably similar risk of human contact, so equally dangerous.

The spider's wandering nature is one reason it is considered pretty dangerous. In densely populated areas, Phoneutria species usually search for cover and dark places to hide during daytime, leading it to hide within houses, clothes, cars, boots, boxes and log piles, thus generating accidents when people disturb it.

The LD50 test is controversial because the results have limited, if any, significance when applied to humans. Determining the amount of a substance that will kill a mouse has little value to human beings. Also controversial is the number of animals frequently involved in an LD50 trial, which may be 100 or more animals.

Atrax Robustus (sydney funnel-web) does have a nasty bite but not hardly as bad as depicted in this clip. Over the last ten years there has been only 2 cases of envenomation, and to this date there are no definite fatalities tied to this spider's venom. The male is known to be 4-6 times worse than the female's but since this spider is small and therefore has small venom glands, the quantity injected can improbably cause death. It is a very nasty bite though and a very aggressive species! Avoid!

Something to tell you all this is the WORLDS second deadliest spider. The BWS ( Brazilian Wandering Spider ) aka The South America Banana Spider, is the world's deadliest spider.

I got bit by it and I was on the floor in seconds. My heart nearly stopped. But the bit is still painful. I often have vomiting, heart attacks, comas, heart failure now. It is no fun. If you look at my chest it has flab's of skin pulling over, green mush around the opening, and the other thing looks like mucle. IT HURTS
