@jeremyjstrang extra processing power, but since you have that kind of a processor, i suspect you have a fairly good graphics card meaning you're good to go put that shit on high everythign :D Me on the other hand am stuck on 2, can barely achieve 60 fps out of which this thing slows it down even more so yeaa

@PeTekaCHuZ PlayClaw does the same thing in their latest version. Believe it or not, the version in this video is outdated, and I'll be reviewing it again shortly.

DXTory is, in fact, a great program, but literally the only game i could get it to work with was MineCraft, as Source Engine games like CS:S and GMod weren't complying at the time. I may try it again sometime in the near future.

i tried out playclaw and the framerate doesn't drop but then once i watch the video i recorded it is a avi file with no audio or video. nothing. i am running windows 7 and the game i recorded was CS:Source. any way i can fix this?

What do you use for video editing? I tried Playclaw, and while the video quality and performance-hit (or lack thereof) are both amazing, the video-codec used for compression (some lossless format that I can't remember the name of) really killed it for me. I finally managed to make a video, but the time spent on converting between formats, ment that I went back to Fraps. Oh and once you nail the video format, then there's finding an editing solution that can handle multi-channel audio. :-( Cheers

My PlayClaw demo (Didn't want to buy the full software without knowing if it doesn't lag) lags alot in like EVERY SINGLE GAME with the following specs: AMD Athlon II M320 2.10 GHz, 4GB DDR2 Ram, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200. @XXXLEgiTXXXMLG1 first off you need to plug a microphone into the green and pink plugs in the back or front of your computer.Make sure you setup you microphone to! Second off, you record with F9 and stop recording with F9. You can also pause with F10 and cancel the recording with F11. Those are my settings for the start stop, and i believe those are the default.

What the hell... I just tried this out. While recording it's really awesome, framerate doesn't drop at all. But when I tried to open up the video file it was nothing there. No video, or audio. Just one huge .avi file with nothing on it. Do you know how I can fix that? Thanks in advance.

@ViLeViZiOnArY I have mine running on a 40 GB partition just fine. Just an FYI, you won't need to reinstall games to the XP partition to run them. Just navigate to your 7/Vista partition and start Steam from there, and all of the games you had installed already will be ready to run.

The only thing that helped me run FRaps faster was to lwoer resolution to 1024 x 768... It used to run 20 FPS at full res and now almost 50 :D

AVG is extremely stubborn with their definitions and won't remove that definition in specific for some reason.
