I played this song at my dads funeral, it just came out and i know Bono had wrote it for his dad and i thought it would be a fitting tribute to him. I'm glad i did. I would have love to have sang it though. Never mind Bono and the boys done us all proud. The old man would have said...Cheers for the song.
theres a reason why bono usually sings this song without his glasses on.
his dad. bob. i cant recall which one is the right story but just in general. he either said those glasses are stupid or he looks stupid when he wears them.
No need to argue about U2 or this outstanding song from a band with a whole bunch of extremely outstanding songs... But this Boston version for me is the most moving, touching, simply heart-breaking version I did ever have seen and listened to. Just look at the details - goosebumps pure, no words needed...
wow there still really good.... im gonna go to a RUSH concert in august, and they were really good way back when, but time has slowed them down quite a bit now lol. but obiously thats not the case for U2. still like RUSH better though
You can reassure yourself in this way but I definetly do not believe in God! It's more complicated (and interesring) to see there is bad and good. Boudhism is further way better! Shakra means action - by thoughts, undertandings and things U say or do. btw peace!
Elvetio put it best, "best gig ever"...if you don't have a copy of "Live from Chicago" DVD GET IT! I've seen these guys live and it's the BEST LIVE SHOW ..EVER...and they've been doin' this for almost 30 yrs...F**kin' incredible
goose bumps on 3:43 awesome, ''u are the reason why the opera is in me''. well hey i still got let u kow a house just dont make a home, don't leave me here alone''!!! , great dedication for a father, i miss my dad as well bono

I really like the bass in this song for some reason. It's not particularly flashy or anything...but it just fits the song. :)
