  • Agreed. Aang and even Toph are supposed to be of Asian decent, even Katara and her brother Sokka are basically eskimos! This proves that M Night and whoever else was responsible for this crap had no respect for the series in general. And they were thinking of a second part to this abomination? clearly they should stop while they're ahead...

PS: As Sokka had said: "At least the effects were decent" xD

  • I completely agree with you on the actors that SHOULD'VE played the respective characters!

  • Brandon would b so cute 4 aang...

  • Sokka lost all his sokkasm in this (mix of sokka & sarcasm) movie.... I h8d that cuz sokka's one of if not my fav characters. I only like him, Mai, azula, & kinda zuko... I really don't like any1 else

  • U guys picked like the perfect ppl 4 the movie, the real actors sucked. I nvr thought about that... Dev would b a good sokka:D... I always was like if they bothered making it diverse & not just Asian. Waterbenders would b Mexican, earthbenders Chinese. Air -> white. Fire -> like Japanese Korean... Maybe black 4 waterbenders 2.... But I'd still rather hav all asians!

  • "Dev should be Sokka. He was made to play Sokka." THANK YOU. Someone agrees with me ...

  • I fucking LOVE the cartoon, but I heard the movie sucked, so I will never see it.

  • You guys are talking about how the actors look nothing like the characters. But, appearance shouldn't matter so much that an actor does or doesn't look like a character, as long as they can act like the character, they can be made-up to look like them. Unfortunately the movie pretty much failed on both accounts, but you guys going on about they looked nothing like the characters just really made me wanna say this. The movie still sucked though.

  • I love the Last Airbender cartoons that still play on Niceklodeon, they're a fun anime show. When Ihehard it was going to be made into a live-action film, I first thought 'cool' but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that the entire concept was far more suited to anime, and that a live-action Last Airbender would be like a live-action Pokemon, it wouldn't work and it would suck. And I was right. It was compeltely screwed up.

  • M Night wrote the script, and he seriously butchered it

  • Sokka was an extra in the movie.

Seriously, I couldn't understand why he was in the movie.

  • SPOILER!!!

    black airbender in flashback wtf?

  • I hated how fucked up the character's personality's were

  • lol. Love 'random cosplay girl'. xD

  • @jadenkorr15 wait my pic?

  • u go girls

  • Dude .. I LOVE the actors you choose at the end for the cast! Brandon is so cute, he would've been great as Aang .. and aahhh, Daniel Henney! Though he might be a lil' too old for Zuko, he's quite dreamy :P

  • I totally agree. Best rant yet! They need to wait a while and have someone else do a better movie. Lmao 5:46 "Darkside... hehehehe" xDDD

  • Wow. I couldn't believe that comment at the end. If you're Korean wear a kimono? They wear hanboks for goodness sake! I refuse to watch this movie. EPIC FAIL! No TLA, Dragonball or Cowboy Bebop if that comes out for me. Why must Hollywood ruin the things I love? *sigh* As usual, you expressed my sentiments exactly.

  • @shamidkpzd i heard Ghost in the Shell and Akira will be live action movies fail1: Akira's gonna take place in Post Apocalyptic Manhattan.

  • I can agree with what you guys are saying 100% but you don't have to be a certain race to have a certain name i mean you could be Jamaican and have a name like Ryu you know? P.S Ang looks like he's on crack in the movie and it sucked!

  • the movie was way better than the original. It was worth the wait. I'm glad I saw it. People who saw this movie will like the cartoon.

  • they also threw in a black tribe lol i went to see the movie

  • omg, yugioh!!! <3

  • i am a huge Airbender fan and this movie was so terrible it was tragic. my god, it was one of the worst movies i've seen in years.

we can thank M. Night for destroying this potential franchise as well as Joel Schumacher did to the old Batman series.

  • Brandon will be perfect as Aang. His energetic, slim, and he actually looks 12 unlike Noah :(

typing of which, i hate the way they pronounced Aang in the movie. Who in the HELL is "ung" *-*

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender (also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang)[1] is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon and the Nicktoons Network. The series was created and produced by 1 Michael Dante DiMartino and 2 Bryan Konietzko their white people okkk white people created avatar this video melinapendulum u made is epic fail

  • @masterdelrap I didn't make anything an epic fail, but M Night did and that's why the movie is tanking harder than Dragon Ball Evolution. White People created Avatar: TLA with an Asian influence and themes and those themes should be respected. I'm sure Mike and Bryan would say that if they weren't bound by a contract.

  • @masterdelrap that's got nothing to do with it; the fictional ethnicities were Asian, not white.

  • Daniel Dae Kim as Zhao! I love that! Honestly, M. Night woulda been better off if he let the FANS cast this!

  • Even though the show was catered to an American audience it's clearly Asian-inspired. The fighting styles, costumes, and weapons reflect heavily as Asian, the cartoon was drawn by Koreans in an anime-like style. So is it really a stretch to be upset that the cast of the main characters are Caucasians and Indian? I'm skeptical that there weren't any talented Asian actors begging for the part. Or... I don't know, people who looked like the characters.

  • BIG FAN =)

Remember 2 watch THE LAST AIRBENDER JULY 1ST

  • See the thing is, if a non-White character doesn't have embarrassing and exaggerated features (you know what I'm talking about--racist caricatures), people won't be able to tell if that character is Asian or whatever.

...a line of reasoning I hate.

  • @FlamebergeDuster I actually spoke about this in another video. Its my latest Avatar rant if you look it up

  • @MelinaPendulum THIS SHOW IS NOT EVEN ANIME. THIS SHOW IS MADE BY TWO WHITE GUYS AND BY WHITE COMPANY CALLED NICKELODEON. DRAGAON BALL I CAN UNDERSTAND BECAUSE DRAGON BALL IS ASIAN. LAST AIRBENDER HOWEVER IS NOT. REALITY IS THAT IT NOT ANIME. IT AN AMERICAN CARTOON. DRAGON AND POKEMON ARE FROM ASIA BUT IT WAS TRANSLATED IN AMERICA. LAST AIRBENDER WAS NOT BECAUSE THE AIRBENDER WAS BY TWO WHITE GUYS IN AMERICA

  • The television show was animated in Korea.

  • @RussikYuv no it not. It an american animated series that was animated in america

  • @sweetheart2109 But before the "2 white guys" created this show THEY STUDIED ASIAN CULTURE they studied the style of the bending food culture clothes ETC.! ! ! so if ur trying to think that this isnt an asian show it is ! GO READ THE FACTS before you actully think what its not .

  • @azngamefreak46 they said themselves the characters are not asian.

  • @sweetheart2109 Still has asian characters and is based off of an asian culture. Was it too much to ask that they be asian?

  • Mm...You do have a point. :) But, in my opinion, if they are able to play their role well, it'll be better than finding actors who look like the characters but don't play the role well. Then again, I'm not at all picky. ^^' Adore the show, I'll watch the movie because I know I'll be entertained regardless even if I don't like it. The only thing that really concerns me is that Aang needs to smile more...0_o

  • You guys don't know anything about avatar seriously

  • @hmian456 Yes we do :)

  • Oh and just so you know Christina Aguilera is white. Hispanic isn't a race.

  • @Africana3789 I think Hispanics would disagree

  • @MelinaPendulum No, they're right. Hispanic is NOT a race. This coming from a Hispanic. A half black, half european Hispanic.

  • @LucySanchez90 So then would they just be an ethnic group?

  • @MelinaPendulum I'd say it's more of a blanket term for someone from Spain, Portugal, or a country that was a former colony of theirs. Latino is more of an ethnic group. On criminal reports they have race categories and ethnicity categories, and my fiance says Hispanic/ Latino are the latter. So I guess it depends on your definition. But it is NOT a race. Rosario Dawson is Hispanic, and so is Cameron Diaz.

  • @LucySanchez90 From what I have studied, it is an ethnic group, but some Hispanics consider themselves to be part of race. *shrug*

  • @MelinaPendulum The problem is that most people use it as another term for Mestizo, but for those of us who are more racially ambiguous, it becomes something of a pet peeve. My mom is Dominican/Haitian and is black, but also has Spanish and Taino blood. My dad is from Puerto Rico, but his parents are from Spain: Catalan, and my grandmother is half Roma.

  • @LucySanchez90 Wow you are a lovely mixture :)

  • @MelinaPendulum I don't see how they would unless they're incredibly ignorant. You mean to tell me that George Lopez, Sammy Sosa, and Andy Garcia are all the same race? I have hispanic familia, I know what I'm talking about.

  • @Africana3789 They are the same ethnic group, but people are ignorant to alot of those things.

  • @MelinaPendulum Unfortunately most people are. But ethnicity is not race.

  • I completely agree with this. It is completely unnacceptable that they don't have Asian actors for this movie not to mention I don't like the fact that it's a live action movie. This is not 1952, you do not need white people playing every kind of role.

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT, 2:05 , its fucking Ang!!!!!!!!

  • due think thats bad theyre making 2 more movies after the first one!!

  • COUNTINUED--

cast in a movie coming out of this country..lol this country has not gotten that far to spend money to see that.and Parent would not go take there 14 kids to it either..and there in lays the market that "hollywood" markets to 18-40 somethings?..

  • meh race is nothing to a movie...may i ask if you young women have traveled outside of this country of ours? (USA). there are countless movies in the world made by many countries made with different races from the source mat.

And also my friends this is a live-action adaptation just like all other books/animations being made like action there will be changes some you hate some you love.

And Seriously this is USA this country cateres to no one group or person you will never see an all asian

  • @animeosi Yes, we have, but we both feel that in a television show where the creators were trying to show Asian culture and mythology, that the movie should be a continuation of that.

  • @MelinaPendulum

I Can see what your mean,I guess it was just me that didn't notice the asian culture in avatar while i was watching it. ^_^

But even if there was a all asian cast it could still do bad in showing Asian Culture and myth though. This is Hollywood after all..lol

  • to all of you that "favor" the white cast of avatar, FAIL.

Avatar is meant to capture race and cultures from AROUND the world, not just the WHITE PEOPLE LANDS

  • dev patel is asian

  • No shit? Dev Patel is south Asian, but he does not resemble the character whatsoever.

  • have you seen the movie?

  • @james9000552

there's a huge difference between chinese

chinky oriental asians and south asians

like indians. indians have more "caucasian"

features and have dark skin and their hair

can be curly unlike chinese ppl. chinese

have flat noses and squinty eyes and

straight hair. VERY different (not to

    be/sound racist)

  • @mallcraze "indians have more 'caucasian' features and have dark skin"...uhh..you DO know you just contradicted yourself..in the same sentence.

  • @iiSEEtrees

no i was talking about features, not color. indians have features similar to caucasians like the protruding nose and the eyes and hair, however the colors are different. indians of course are darker.

  • @mallcraze I see that you don't understand what I'm trying to say, let me clarify. 'Caucasian' is a euphemism for 'White' (to be more specific, it describes a person of Anglo-Saxon complection -- fair skinned). Caucasian relates to skin colour specifically. Therefore by DEFINITION you cannot say that someone looks caucasian but is dark.

  • LMAO @ Zuko's scar being a blemish that needs some cocoa butter.

  • "Racially ambiguous does not make you white." THANK YOU! I'm so sick of people acting like "the universal/default race" is automatically white. Like I said, the same folks would have a problem with Harry Potter being portrayed by a Black boy. "Race doesn't matter" only when characters of color are being whitewashed; it never happens in the reverse.

  • whats the opening song? love it

  • My friends and I saw the trailer and this was her reaction, especially to the Water Tribe casting

    *glimpse of Katara*

    Friend: Who's that?

    Me: Katara.

    Friend: That is NOT Katara!

    Me: Yes, it is.

    Friend: WTH!!!

    Me: I know...

  • whats the beginning song?

  • no, sailormoon on the other hand should be white. the only REAL asian in sailormoon is Ray/sailor mars. But Zukko, ans Azula should be japanese

  • I'm not gonna lie Sailor Moon and Naruto have never looked Asian let alone Japanese to me Brock from pokemon looks very japanese

  • Naruto was designed to appeal to the western audience

  • I definitely agree with your opinions on the casting. It truly throws off the balancing of how the nations are against one another. Definitely supporting how Zuko has a "blemish." His disfigurement is a big manifestation of his character, and they're wiping it away.

  • Ang's Arrow is WAY too light I could hardly see it.

Zukko looks nothing like him. Katara and sokko should be tanned not pale.

  • lol, racisim.

  • lmao Zukko needs some coca butter. but seriously, that isn't a burn, just a skin rash

  • the girl in shaolin soccer looks more like ang, her clothing is near exact and she is bald + asian

  • Hollywood needs everything dissected for them, just because they don't say their asian should NOT imply they aren't.

  • I wonder how pissed everybody was about the ''Japanese Spiderman'', PPGZ JAPANESE, and Stitch! the anime

  • PPGZ sucks. sorry, the girls look good but the screwed up the story and made HIM a joke

  • give it a chance until feb 7 then u can not watch it

  • Your example of Asians playing an Egyptian role is the reason why the latest Mummy movie starring Jet Li was an absolute shit fest.

  • @necronomicon: Your scenario is not analogous with theirs. They posited a film in which Asian actors played characters from an Egyptian or Ashanti inspired fantasy setting. Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was not set in Egypt, but instead dealt with a Chinese mummy, set in China, with Chinese and Chinese-American actors (Jet Li, Russell Wong, Michelle Yeoh). I didn't see the film, so I can't comment on its quality, but no Asians were "playing an Egyptian role."

  • How stupid is it gonna look that Zuko is white wearing Japanese characters and commanding a whole army of Japanese pep[le

  • Zokko in the movie is Indian

  • @hotwhire damn

  • Oh did you know that Ebert himself stated very clearly recently that he does not support how they casted this film?

  • you guys are very right...

my plan is buy a ticket to say, Toy Story 3 and sneak in to The Last Airbender, only because I'm curious to what the plot is like. And for the record, I think I should be Katara, because I look alot like her (I'm also part Native American too)

  • Katara isn't Native American shes Inuit

  • I don't think Inuits want to be called Asian.

  • I believe we said Inuits multiple times.

  • The actor they have for Sokka just pisses me off the actor is a 25 year-old light skinned curly haired loser sokka is 15 not 25 damn

  • Excellent review ladies. There is a tremendous racial biases in all Sci-Fi. Read the book:

"Star Trek and History-racing toward a white future" by: Daniel Leonard Bermardi. It illustrates everything (problems) you are seeing in the Sci-Fi "fanboy" media culture. Check out the other Avatar movie and you will see the same situation in allegory or in the abstract with the "NA'VI" = Natives. For more information about the Moors look up Dr. Runoko Rashidi; they were Africans who were Islamics.

  • well i think they did changes because they don't want to ruin the original show just like Spiderman, Hulk, ect not to be mean just pointing out something

  • this is nothin like the anime series. thts wut disappointment me.

  • I totally agree with you! I don't get how people could justify the white washing of this cast. It's just...fail *face palm*

Also! I've been meaning to ask you...what is the name of that song at the beginning of your vid? I love it lol

  • Our Truth by Lacuna Coil

  • I may watch the movie.

When it comes out on DVD.

    And is in a library.

    Where you can rent it.

    For FREE.

    xD

  • I am an avatar fan who wants the movie to be the best it can be, not someone who feels they should just be happy with whatever they push out.

  • We know alot about avatar: seen every episode and all. weither a person complains or not doesn't show if they are a fan or not.

  • I love Daniel Henney and Zuko so that's a win win for me. ^^

  • There are going to release a pretty cool CGI trailer around Christmas. I only saw bits peices of it because it wasn't completed but from what i saw of it looks pretty cool. A lot better than that shitty ass Drangon ball movie thats for sure. lol

  • And another thing this movie is not based on a Anime it is a American Toon. You can watch on Nick. for crying out loud. If the movie is good watch it if not than its there fault. Stop trying to see things that arnt there. Have fun with or life. Life is to short . Thank you for the vid.

  • Did I say it was anime? No....

I'm not going to watch something that I think is going to be crap, because when they make enough money to have sequel I'm not going to be responsible for a white toph and middle eastern azula

  • They are trying to make the movie realistic. If you watch the toon. You see what they are trying to due. Like for example the two water tribe people in the toon they have black hair and blue eyes. like in the movie. As for the main actor it was a internet casting call. The main actor is a Martial Arts Jr Champion by the age of 10. Plus the main actor kinda looks like Ang but he is a little chubby in the face but he really does look like Ang.

  • I watch the toon, every season, every episode. The waterbenders don't just have brown hair and blue eyes, they also have brown skin....

the boy only looks like aang is height and complexion. other than that nothing.

  • no it is not the entire Earthbending tribe is Japense/Chinese Asian. The Fire Nation Tribe is Indian/Middle Eastern. I say they are a lot of non white in this movie did you even look at the pic for this movie. The main actor is half white half hispanic. So do you want to rethink this a little and due or homework before judging it. sorry for the mispelled words. really bad at typing.

  • I know the extras are of different races (not just specifically Asian they have EVERY race as a extra), I'm talking about the main cast. And where did u see that Noah Ringer is half hispanic, because I've checked and I don't see it. Even if he was, it doesn't change the fact that he is not Asian.

  • first off I dont get how this movie is racist. It has people from all over asisa in it. from japense/chinese to Indian/middle estearn to carcasian yes folks there are Carcasisan's in Asisa we are every were but again I do no see how this movie is racist. Trust me I ve seen many raicst films this is not one of them.

  • The main characters of the show are Asian and Inuit. Only one member of the main cast in the movie is nonwhite.

  • Keep on fighting the Machine girls, I dig wut you girls had to say.

  • i thought you guys...urm gals were gonna talk about james camerons avatar(which looks awesome)

  • I love you guys!!

  • And btw - your versions for Azula and Ursa were like - SPOT ON, baby. Now if that Chiaki chick had some sturdy martial arts experience that's required for her role, I would be very surprised if she did not audition.

  • I gotta admit, it's fun to complain about the Avatar Movie, especially since it's an action movie that was made to appeal a large audience. M. Night Shamalyan just had to call dibs on making the movie and making it a huge budget production.

  • Does anybody know whether Mike and Bryan were asked if they could make the movie?

  • Of course it's the end.

  • It's funny, the guys who should be brown are white, the guys who should be white are brown ...

  • The avatar world is based on Chinese culture and they use chinese calligraphy. Many of the characters names are Japanese, or both chinese and japanese. For example: Zuko, means kind hearted, calm and stuff that I don't remember. Also the clothing are based on Asain fashions 100 years ago or something...

  • I hate the fact that they didn't do a good job w/ Zuko's scar! Seriously, you can't even see it, but if you look closely, squint and tilt your head you'll be like oh! There is a scar! Jeez this movie is so frustrating. I'm only seeing it so I can critize it with correct info.

  • I think those photos were taken even before they started making the movie. Trust me, alot of changes from what we now know will probably be made before the movie comes out. I mean, they were gonna hire Jesse McCartney to be Zuko, now they got Dev Patel.

  • True, I read that M. Night is pulling his hair out in the editing room. I giving it a chance, but the trailer better be good.

  • Honestly, I don't

  • Hmm, I can understand your frustration. I myself is against Avatar simply b/c it's a live-action. However, I don't think them choosing the actors would fail the movie alone or why it would be epic fail. Smeyers characters was all white besides for the Indian tribe, but they felt it was an obligation to get dark skin people to play evil in the film anyway. I think the whole thing itself will crumple just because of the storyline and poor portrayel to really capture the world created in the anime

  • Book 3 is the end. there is no more episodes

  • isn't it pretty obvious they are based on asian/inuit culture

  • How is it disrespectful to the shows creators if the shows characters are the executive producers of the movie?!

  • They have to be, its their work. They don't have any power over what happens because the show belongs to Nick

  • Your avatar cast>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the one they have. Seriously, I think it's so stupid that they didn't cast people who looked like they did in the cartoon. That's just an insult to the fans., like they think we're not gonna know or care. Show's laziness on their parts, and also disrespectful to the creators. Great video, with lots of awesome points and I don't think I'll be seeing the movie. I'll just wait till it's at the library to rent it. btw, Ninja turtles rock!

  • See here's the thing. With race. It just doesn't make sense to me.

The characters on Avatar aren't Asian. They are not white. The Avatar world is a completely different world than ours. There are no Asians or Caucasions. They are Fire Nation and Water Tribe. They are completely different ethnicities.

If you can find someone Water Tribe to play Katara and Sokka, let me know.

  • Avatar isn't based on our would, so i do understand no one can be perfect but they are inspired by Asian/Inuit characters and that is the culture they were based on, therefore the actors should reflect that best they can.

  • In anime there are Asians who look Caucasian and they are not argued to be Asian. They are still considered. Aang is not white. I am not angry for the sake of it. Katara's loopies are her trademark style, its like Sailormoon without her meatball buns

  • Which is absolutely ridiculous. That is like drawing a cartoon and making a Black African look white...then saying that they are black. My point is why do you only get mad when filmmakers do that and not the animators?

  • In anime its common place, so maybe I'm just used to that. However, no matter how they look, they are Asian. Even in the live action adaptations they would be Asian, because no matter how they look it doesn't change their ethnicity as created by the maker. Avatar isn't based on our would, so i do understand no one can be perfect but they are inspired by Asian/Inuit characters and that is the culture they were based on, therefore the actors should reflect that best they can.

  • Haha. I completely agree with you on everything you said. I love how Katara and Sokka are OBVIOUSELY based on Native American or Inuit even though no one directly said so, and the actors playing them are paler than I am. Its sad because some of the actors here are pretty good. This movie will not do them any justice.

  • Even though I don't watch Avatar,I see your point. It would be like if they made a Rurouni Kenshin movie with white actors.

  • I agree with pretty much all of it except for the bit about the loopies, the arrow, and their clothing.

Some things from the show just can't translate into a realistic-looking film. Who would honestly take this movie seriously if the bad guys were wearing bright red clothes, and the good guys were wearing vibrant blue?

Hair loopies would probably have been too hard to manage.

Aang's arrow- if they had gone with that cotton-candy blue, I would have thrown a fit. That simply CANNOT be translated.

  • who plays the parts is important to the movie, its not just about entertainment.

  • Hmmm. The movie's Anng looks Asian to me. BTW his arrow should be blue like in the cartoon.

I never thought of the Water Tribe as Asian. I always thought of them as "Eskamo" The Fire nation as "Japanese" The Earth Kingdom as "Chinese" and the Air Benders as "Saiamese" These are the impresions that I got from how the people look and their culture.

You're right, the characters should look similar to the ones in the cartoon.

  • The WT is Inuit, the other nations are mixed Asians, actually FN is more Chinese than Japanese and the EK is more Korean. AB are Monks

  • Actually, if you look closely at the live action katara on part 3:56, katara does have her hair loopies. Its on top of her head on the sides.

  • Zuko's scar, aang's arrow, katara's loopies...WTF?? Next, they're probably going to get rid of Sooka's boomerang! they ruined what the character's are known for! But aside that, I LOVED your cast! And your Azula was dead on! I never even wanted a movie...when I heard about it, it screamed FAIL, but it hurts more to know thats its worse than I thought. Honestly, they should screw the movie and make a book 4.

  • I could be wrong but to me the whole thing screams of "playing it safe."

Zukos burn toned down to avoid an "eeew!" reaction, Aangs tattoo made subtle, mainstream white actors used to avoid spending time and money to find and train more racially accurate actors etc.

Hollywood doesn't seem to want to take risks anymore >_>

I would be interested to know Mike and Bryans feelings on this half-assed piece of crap!

  • There is a live action versin of Sailor Moon in Japan. Her actress is Japanese, she wears a wig!

  • Hell yes!

I love the random cosplay girl at the end!!

  • I love your intro, it trips me out XD

  • Oh, say it ain't so! I knew it was going to be bad, but I didn't think it would be THIS bad ...

  • After seeing the headshots I crossed over from the hope group to the Avatar Movie is dead to me group. Everything is reversed and right now, this is a mess, the special effects and acting better be FLAWLESS to get me to forget this. Gah!

  • From what I have heard they are changing alot of the characters personalities. For example they plan on toning down Sokka's role as the comical person in the group.

  • the guy playing Sokka in this movie looks more like the guy who played him in the Ember Island Players episode

  • The arguement about Sailor Moon is about how she doesn't look Japanese AT ALL, yet their is not deputes about her ethnicity. She is Japanese, in every other way from name to culture. Then you have the Characters from Avatar who were physically and culturally based on Asians/Inuits, but they are suddenly not that because 'there is no Asian/Inuit in the Avatar World'? Despite the fact that M&B have said that those are their real life counterparts?

  • Also, just because someone does have the typical look doesn't make them not that race. My friend is Chinese/Black, she looks more black, but that doesn't make her not chinese. Christina Aguilera had blonde hair and blue eyes, but she is still Latina. Naruto/SailorMoon/Bulma are all Japanese, but look nothing like it.

  • i do agree with you about the characters. they look nothing like the people there are suppse to be playing. its going to be completely off like what they did with street fighter and dragon ball and they completely raped dragon ball. it was horrible. i hear there making a movie about blood plus aswell and like every anime and/or game that get turned into a movie im sure thats just gona blow.

  • Your friend rocks already cause of the TMNT shirt! <3

Wow. I'm not saying I'm an extreme fan of Avatar, my brother tried to get me into it but from looking at the headshots. :( Fail. Pure Fail, and the girl that plays Kitara is adorable looking but I can vouch that they should have a least made an effort to appear closely like the character because that is what people, least I think, hope for.

And I second that, I like Taylor [warming up to Jacob Black, Meyer did something right pre-BD]

  • I love the last picture LOL. I have come across so many cosplayers who look way more like the characters then the actors portraying them in the movie especially Katara. How can they not find actors to play Sokka and Katara. They have a range from black, Indian, Native American, Hawaiian and many more, while looking in the milting pot of the world.
