is it not possible that the three iner planets of our solar system had been gas giants in the past ? What we see now are only their rocky metalic cores. Recent observations of exoplanets suggest that super giant exoplanets usually exist in close orbit to their stars. why is this not observed in our own star system ?

When I was an idiot, I used to think that Earth was a star that failed to burn. Boy was I WRONG. All that happened was rock colliding with each other. And one time Earth got blown by a planet. If I was there with a friend this would happen:
