The gp2x and the cradle from play asia has the best deal, if anyone wants to buy one go to their website it's the best way to get one.

Nice video i enjoyed it alot showing how the gp2x cradle works and what it can do at the moment gp2x is one of my favourite consoles.

i would, but £40 is a bit steep for TV-out, USB and a host of other ports i wont use :(. ah well, iĺl get artaylor's USB cable instead for £10 :p

I just got this yesterday, and found out today my GP2X will NOT connect to it for whatever reason. It goes in, but fails to make any final connection, and I honestly have no clue why that is.

Video is in my account if your curious, though it was this video that showed me what this thing could do...and I had planned on doing just that.

The cradle has S-vid out, same as the official video cable, so no. All you need is to get an universal cable from X store to hook it up to your TV.

Hey i have a Q mate, i'm thinking of getting one of these, i play my roms atm on the pc because i dont have one of these "durr" is the screen actually big enough? on reviews i seen the screen doesn't look that much bigger than somebodys thumb, it makes me wonder if i will have to quint to see games....

Also, whats the rechargabe battery length on these things? or just normal batteries

The screen is bigger than enough. It's a 3,5 inch 320x240 LCD. It is recommended to use rechargeable batteries, and if you get good ones I think you get about 5 hours of life, or more if you play music.

All the ScummVM games can be played with mouse, also Quake, x11 and Qtopia support mouse.

Yes it is. You just copy the emulator + roms on the SD card and you are ready to go, absolutely no hacks needed, the GP2X was made for it! (+more) :)

i recommend spending $20 for a logictech dual fire joystick for the mame emu. it is timed very good with the cradle usb port.

By the way, what version is that gp2x? i thought v3 was the latest as my main screen looks nothing like that.

It is an MK2 from the Value Pack. It runs 2.1.1 with custom skin, that's why the menu looks like that.
