i have a 9600 graphics card and it cant even play a 3D flash game with out extremely low fps around 10 to 15 fps and i dont know why i really need asistence.
damn i nearly went out and bought one of these. to exchange for my 8800gt thank godness i didnt, how the 9 series manage to be slower. very odd. i expect the 9800gt will be better. think iam going to go higher. am bored now with my 8800gt i want some more boost. =D

@kolaasxd That's alot. I believe the max is 105'C. If it goes higher it will burn out. So you should get more cooling in your PC. Google "Zalman" and you will find good cooling.

Can an NVIDIA GeForce GT430( With 1GB dedicated graphics memory and support for Microsoft DirectX 11 ) work on Starcraft 2 at the highest settings with no frame rate problems or lag and stuff like that? My computer has a AMD Athlon II x4 640 processor ( 3.0GHz ) with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 16GB). And it's also a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. So any help will be most helpful.
@AN7HRO i have had gs's and gt's i think gs's run just a little slower. gts on the other hand is not slower.
new cards may be different.there are other differences to also consider. the more memory on the card helps allot.
goto nvidia website and under products. at the top left look at compare and buy. this will give you more info. when i build a pc i look at the date the motherboard was made and get the fastest card i can afford. that was made during that time.

@magichatake It's SLI ... but still it's a damn lie, a 9800gtx 512mb can barely handle from15-20 fps on this resolution on DDR3 this is a 256 bit card so it must be a resolution about 1600x1200 or less a 512 bit card like 220 GTX,280 are really cheap and better, But what's ur'e CPU and Ram That affects too

And even that is a video of 2008, I doubt that there was so damn component that was capable of running at 31 frames (now if SLI is another story).

Here in Brazil I paid U $ 180.00 in 9600 (not surprising, the taxes here in Brazil are rubbish), but ultimately worth it because there are several games that are released hj and I can play them good.

@sfak94 I recommend the NVIDIA GTS450 card :) Its got 1gb of gddr5 ram and tones of cores to run your games silky smooth. As for power well my friend todays cards require no less than 400W of power. If you live here in the USA check out microcenter(.).com. I just got a 700W power supply for $55 and the card runs for about $150 on the same site. Hope this helped

Yer, I get where your coming from, but i'm saying that in order to see which does better - you have to play a graphically demanding game, or the fps rates wont accurately reflect the maximum capability of the card being tested, and wow just isnt a very demanding engine. The whole purpose of a benchmarking tool is to strain the card to its maximum ability, thats why on guru3d, hardocp, and PC-Perspective they never ever test WOW or any other low quality games like that.
@fasterthansound101 yeah but they don't use it as a benchmark because it has a really old obsolete engine that doesn't properly utilize the features of modern graphics cards.

@CallofDaniel Dual Core is not dead wtf you talking about? 99% of the games out there still only use 2 cores. Now right now I wouldn't reccomend going for a dual core because DX11 is out and the new games might have Quad core support.
If you want to upgrade it is. Most games are starting do demand an quad core to run better and buying an Dual core now is just stupid. I don't mean that everybody should replace there dual cores with Quad cores right away. And you are right about DX 11. It will be demanding Quad core because of the amount of calculations DX 11 GPU's make. Also the ATi 5000 series can use more than one core with makes quad cores a lot more useful.
@luian90 I guess you have that one for quite some time now. If you buy a dual core for gaming now that just stupid because you will replace it much faster because it can't handle the new games anymore. It is not strange that Crysis runs great on a dual core because it can only use a dual core.

They should run pretty well in your system. I did a CanYouRunIt test on most of them and they were on the "Fastest" scale. Left4Dead shouldn't be demanding since it's the same engine the Half Life 2 Series is made with (Source).

Yer, I get where your coming from, but i'm saying that in order to see which does better - you have to play a graphically demanding game, or the fps rates wont accurately reflect the maximum capability of the card being tested, and wow just isnt a very demanding engine. The whole purpose of a benchmarking tool is to strain the card to its maximum ability, thats why on guru3d, hardocp, and PC-Perspective they never ever test WOW or any other low quality games like that.

@fasterthansound101 yeah but they don't use it as a benchmark because it has a really old obsolete engine that doesn't properly utilize the features of modern graphics cards.

@fasterthansound101 1. wow sucks and has no advanced shader architecture, its a really basic engine and would not be a good benchmarking tool like the cryengine or dunia engine would be. 2. tigerdirect no longer does any good product showcases, now they showcase shitty laptops and useless products nobody wants

If you go for an new possessor you should skip over dual core and go for quad or an i5 750 and higher. (i7 if you can affort it)
The dual core is pretty much dead for gaming.

@CallofDaniel Dual Core is not dead wtf you talking about? 99% of the games out there still only use 2 cores. Now right now I wouldn't reccomend going for a dual core because DX11 is out and the new games might have Quad core support.

If you want to upgrade it is. Most games are starting do demand an quad core to run better and buying an Dual core now is just stupid. I don't mean that everybody should replace there dual cores with Quad cores right away. And you are right about DX 11. It will be demanding Quad core because of the amount of calculations DX 11 GPU's make. Also the ATi 5000 series can use more than one core with makes quad cores a lot more useful.

In benchmarks the i5 750 actually beats the i7 920 in all almost all (maybe all) games.
So for gaming i5 750 > i7 920 and it's cheaper.

@luian90 I guess you have that one for quite some time now. If you buy a dual core for gaming now that just stupid because you will replace it much faster because it can't handle the new games anymore. It is not strange that Crysis runs great on a dual core because it can only use a dual core.

@notozx maybe you should calm down and take your time reading reviews and getting info rather than thinking crysis is extremely hard to play, though crysis is hard to run. Considering we are in 2010, we can even venture into the 30 inch resolution, with a bit of price. Read some reviews.

They should run pretty well in your system. I did a CanYouRunIt test on most of them and they were on the "Fastest" scale. Left4Dead shouldn't be demanding since it's the same engine the Half Life 2 Series is made with (Source).
