He's starting to look like an older guy. I have a new foster dog that is resistant to learning "leave it" and sneakily grabbed poor Patches once a training session was over. He wasn't hurt as I stopped the dog immediately. Just shows that some dogs are more difficult than others (same breed).
My guinea pigs have an outdoor enclosure and indoor. They are also happier outside.
We have a field mouse living behind our fridge and won't leave. But my mom keeps caring for it- even tiny bowls of food and water so it doesn't run into the cats.
It's very humid here and gets into the 90s, but I suscpect that these guineas lived outside before they were dumped and they have been healthy and sassy for over a year outside. I check them daily for disease and they eat/drink when they want, not when I'm available. Plus none of the three want anything to do with people, they're sort of feral but wheek into the door when their food bowl is late.
Some people think all animals should be kept locked up indoors for their own safety. My mom worked with a vet who thought all cats should be declawed on all 4 paws and always kept locked inside. My mom doesn't work for him anymore. If you see guinea pigs in their native Peru, they do fine outdoors and eating leftover scraps. People there eat healthy so even the scraps are healthy. All animals love the outdoors, except the field mouse behind our frige.
Yeah. Only one of the vet techs would help him and the other vet and my mom won't declaw.
They had a cat brought in that was declawed on all 4 feet and defanged. After all that they abandoned him because they were allergic to cats. It was hard to find him a home because he became so angry and distrusting.
My mom's friend took him. He is not so mean now but still doesn't like to be pet.
Well, the pit bull isn't "loving" toward the guinea pig but she does respect that I won't allow her to harm them. The breed is great but the owners need to set limits.
This video shouldn't even be made most owners that have pitbulls that are trained that have guinea pigs never be mean to each other.

I can't believe any reputable doctor would support declawing. It's like cutting off a human's fingers.
