  • 9 dislikes?why do they even bother listening.

  • SOLO.MAKES.ME.WANT.TO.CRY o0

    So fcking ossom =P

  • RIP headphone users..

  • Pretty cool....Joe plays an old Tull song

  • this guy really has to be the best around at the moment

  • Are you frigging kidding me...JB just keeps on blowing me away with his talent. can't wait to see him here in Portland Or. in December. This guy is the top of the heap of the blues musicians now and before.

  • I can't believe, how is it possible to play these solos with 3 fingsrs...

  • Joe is Supremely Rockin'! Chantel McGregor (She has jammed with Joe on stage) does a great version of this song too! Check her out on YT.

  • Or-some Guitar plying. Or-some Bass playing. Or-some drummer.

    Great band.

  • My New Fav DVD Go Joe!

  • Makes me remember of Jimi Hendrix.

  • Not as good as Tull's original but still fuckawesome

  • yeah!!!!

  • bad ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joe Bonamassa is best guitar player alive right now, only because sadly we lost the best ever KING GARY MOORE!!!!

  • stood in the pouring rain to hear him play this. awesome

  • HOLY SHIT! I THINK I JUST SHAT MY PANTS! what a performance!

  • As good as Joe undoubtedly is, this just isn't as good as Tull. In my opinion anyway...

  • Tull. I've exhausted myself just trying to come up with the right words.

  • FUCKING AWESOME

  • Not as good as martin bar. dont reply.

  • @strings191 .....thats like saying ....hitler was just missunderstood, dont reply....wtf do you expect ...you retard!

  • @strings191

    Reply to what?

  • what's the name of the bassist?

  • @N10BASS Eric Czar

  • Il batterista va fuori tempo....

  • oh yeah..... Ian Anderson Proud.. you can feel the music in Joe..ass kicking

  • He's definitely in the same room with Roy Buchanan, for a bit at least.

  • can't believe anyone would actually vote for kirk hammett in ye ole Joe Bo vs Kirk debate. Joe is fucking amaziiiingggg in just about every genre

  • Roy Jones

  • Advanced cock-rock. Notice balding audi-driving audience.

  • one of the only artists that has made me want to run out onto my porch and scream the first time i heard them play because it was so awesome...

  • one of my favorit Jethro Tull tunes. J B has really good taste!

  • look at the audience, they are are awesome

  • GIBSON , OWN AND FAMILY MADE, MY FAMILY. VERY PROUD.

  • This is a tremendous performance; however, with all due respect to Joe, Jethro Tull this ain't. It got no English on it folks.

  • Don't think for a moment that the LP he is playing is stock. Joe gets bored with guitars, sets them on a shelf until he decides to fool around with them and find a sound he likes...then and only then are they reborn! You can watch his rig descriptions on You Tube.

  • c 'est de la merde cette musique !!!!

    aux chiottes les guignols !!!!

    caricatures du blues .

  • The tone he gets out of that Les Paul is insane. I need to figure out what he used in the vid. The tone is almost as amazing as his playing.......almost. Btw anyone know the bass players name? Hes great too.

  • @michaelwootenmusic the bass players name is Eric Czar, he is no longer with Joe's band, yes, he is a great bassist and a great guy, I met him a few times, super guy

  • @mrmusiclover069 eric czar is amazing, i can not believe i only heard of him last week ... mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

  • The bass player is really great as well :O

  • Get it Joe !!! You got it man !!!

  • Incredible isn't a strong enough word- the tone, the energy, the arrangement. Incredibalistic!

  • Wow, so great.. The best of it is that not only he is giving new life to an allready great blues, he makes it to his own, and thats talent. Kudos, kudos, kudos and long live big talentend Joe!

  • wawwwwwwwwww

  • What a cover!!! Joe is at his best, but I'm really impressed by the bassist. Damn I'm picking my guitar nad practise:)

  • "Joe Bought a Mazda", Wonder if he drove to the gig in a mazda.

  • ha, New Day Yesterday by way of Black Velvet and Dazed & Confused - good cover, not quite the valse macabre that Anderson wrote it to be, but very nice

  • Awesome!! Bonamassa-lovers ought to check out the stuff he did on the new "Black Country Communion" album. Joe can freeking ROCK too!!!

  • good version, I think a version with Jethro Tull would be great

  • Thats one amazing bass player as well... Always give credit to the band behind the man ;) it takes class to keep up with class :)

  • wow, Incredible cover

  • He He Just found out he's coming to Australia again and am definitely going to see him this time.Friend put me onto him awhile back and dare I say this "Joe sounds better than Stevie Ray Vaughan God bless his pointy little Fender"

  • @AsrudGilberto I kinda feel the same way hard for me to say better or worst I think they are very just two different blues and rock styles is all. But joe is a definentley a badass guitarist and singer

  • @ mosesesesetcI think it would good if all the guitar fools would try to top Bonamassa, not to say it could be done, but could provide more good music

  • The most elusive combination for me has been strong talent in vocals while playing flawless guitar and hitting well thought out stomp boxes. Clapton has never shown any of this to me. Page never sang. SRV never impressed me like this (just me, I think). Here, I see the full deal and Joe gets fantastic support on bass and drums. If I could have been there.....

  • :56 really? seriously?

  • @emanrocker1323 yes really!!

  • @emanrocker1323 actually he was joking :P

  • They Say I Am Crazy Deep in the boogie of yesterday afternoon I drink my wine on the front porch Lost in my cocoon they say i am crazy out of touch but I only know one thing I love this world so much love is every thing love is tomorrow it is where we dream in between the pain and the sorrow M.S. Morrison
  • you know, as a j tull addicted, it is not every cover that makes me happy, but this one trully made me smile. so sincere :)

  • hey guys, thanks so much for your support. Please go to the Official Joe Bonamassa YouTube Channel and subscribe!

  • just class!!

  • Six people accidentally hit "dislike" - be more careful next time guys!

  • CLASS........

  • LIKE A GARRY MOORE BUT MAYBE SOME BETTER-GREAT JETHRO TULL SONG AND GREAT PERFORMER!

  • Who says roadhouse rock players can't be legendary? What the heck do they think Stevie Ray Vaughn was?

  • The people who think Bonamassa is "average" or "good for a bar player" or "not great" are probably too busy slobbering over Metallica's cock to realize how good a player he truly is and will continue to be. Not dissing Metallica, they're okay/good, but Joe makes Kirk look like a bitch imho

  • @JumpyM4c I completely agree, but I've never heard the "bar player" comment.

  • @JumpyM4c damb you'r so fking dumb so can't compare a blues gitarist with a metal gitarist joe isn't bettter than kirk because there not in the same genre. that's the same as comparing josh homme with jimmy page.

  • @metallica747474 The thing is... it's music. Which means, that despite the difference in genre, you can indeed compare them. Everyone will have their opinion, which is subjective mind you, and mine happens to be that Joe is better than Kirk.

  • @JumpyM4c Holy fuck this dude is the SHIT. I thought I was a good blues player until I saw Joe. Now I just wanna throw my guitar out the window.

  • @JumpyM4c lol, I couldn't agree more

  • @JumpyM4c he is of his own class mate, and i completely agree, every guitar player should aspire to be him, he can take almost any scale or chord sequence and turn it around and inside out

  • wow, time sure does fly by!

in the old days it was such a thrill to see Joe play this song live.

joe's come a long way since the days when TODAY's ticket price would have covered gas to go to/from the gig, enough beer to make me dizzy, and pay for the car being towed.

joe puts the same effort into performing for 30 people in a Bloomington, Indiana bar (only thing missing was my recliner and bong), as he does for crowds like Rockpalast, Pierre's, or PAH.

    long live Joe Bonamassa!!!

  • OHH YES...

  • This is too much of a sleeveless-shirt, wearing-sunglasses-indoors, hairy-chest sort of version.

I'll stick with the original -- And I didn't even see that he was wearing sunglasses until I had already typed that.

  • Goosebumps baby!

  • awesome.

  • He is definately a blues man....awesome

  • I've heard someone calling him pretty good for a bar player... well that dude must've seen some pretty fucking great bar players, because Joe is way beyond average.

  • @jb1563700 fucking amen to that mate!

  • brilliant....I have a DVD with this on.....my favourite rendition

    cheers & thanks for sharing!

    Gary :--)

  • The bass in this song is excellent!

  • kind of rock - but COMPLETELY BLUES..!! I BOW TO YOU JB!!!!

thanks So much dear gusthebroken2, i love all songs you sent to me!!

with respect and love from JD

    O_o

  • JB - TO ME, HE IS THE "FASTEST BLUES" OF ALL BLUES ARTISTS!!!!!!

thanks much for sharing this!! loves it!!

    good day to all!! JD

  • @porterpearson he's early to mid-thirties, learned guitar as a child, was a recognized prodigy (opened for BB King at age 12), played with many top blues/rock groups, recently at fRoyal Albert Hall with Clapton as his guest (not the other way around) he keeps getting better and better including vocals imho

  • Comment removed

  • @porterpearson If you don't like it that's fine but you shouldn't trash the guy. He is a an awesome guitarist. No one wants to hear your opinion if it's all negative.

  • Absolutely totally and completely awe inspiring.... words can't quite catch it. He's a genius.

  • Bonamassa fantastic !!!

  • power play

  • Thanks Beth for turning me on to Joe Bonamassa .... trying to find tickets for Tuesday's show!

  • i think i prefer the 'live from nowhere...' version of this, but this one is still sick as hell :D

  • just imagine him doing arpeggios at that speed of the first "solo" damn

  • Who'se playing bass here!!?? Awesome!

  • @bentpolski Eric Czar

  • joe is my inspiration why i play guitar. joe is a nice guy plus really realy good skills in guitar!

  • pipe down son..3 long n mind numbing essays about just how great joe is ain't gonna make u any more of an obsessed fan than u already are.

joe is awesome n thats al that needs to be said.

no point brain-farting on comments that no one gives a shit about!

we came to watch the videos not to read your stalkerish rants. that'll be all

  • Outstanding licks. He's got a great voice for blues, too. 5 Stars.

  • Yeah, Baby! Five *stars* from me, too.

    He's fabulous.

  • I came.

  • @Eliasoz : me too.. few people understand the hows/whys of the experience..

  • If some people could see themselves for who they really are, and how they really sound, they would be embarrassed for themselves,so others would not have to be for them. Those gypsy video responses above are wannabes who are riding piggy back upon Joes masterful displays that are unsurpassable,so that they can try to get themselves known, because they know that a lot of people are going to tune in to Joe's videos. Lets call this to Joe's attention, so he can block them on his YOUTUBE .

  • Oh my, you talk about folks who don't mind making a first class fool of themselves, the video responses above are so hit and miss, and you would like to think that they would never want to compare themselves to the greatness on display here with Joe and this dynamic drive of blues mastery. They know Joe is so popular, and this is their way of trying to get known, riding piggy back upon Joe's performances. I hate to see people make themselves out to be Monday's Moron, and July's Joke.

  • Just unbelievable, the greatest blues rock guitarist and singer the world will ever livingly know. The unrivalled mastery here on dynamic display will bring all wannabes to their knees with suicide frustration who will ever try to out do him on this song or any song he touches. Show the world how retarded you are if you suggest otherwise. This boy is as hot as they come. No one out tops Joe, he is the MAN, AND I MEAN THE MAN. When he was 12 years old up on stage, he was better than most now.

  • Yeah...!!!!!! =)

  • Lovely to hear the references to long lost Kossoff as well

  • @TradCath123

I also hear Robin Trower around the 1:30 mark

  • ill tell you who can top him....FRANK MARINO , HE IS THE BEST IVE EVER SEEN...INCLUDING JOE

  • Agreed, Joe's awesome.......but Frank's THE MAN

  • I'm just so overtaken with the power and thrust of this rock - blues piece, and Joe brings this song up to its highest level of greatness over and above any other artist has ever brought it to. This piece just spell bounds you as you hear those powerful leads, and vintage voice that just elevates the listener into a lala land of mesmerized peace, being awe struck into frozen amazement as you witness such a display of towering talent in that one person of JOE BONAMASSA , above all the rest.

  • You don't see many Tull songs being coverred, this is nice!

  • The Best Guitar Man of the world...

  • The power and strength of his voice here is so great. Boy, does he ever have a blues voice. Some great musicians have only one talent, either on their instrument, or in their voice, but Joe has tremendous talent with both voice and instrument. Have you noticed how he never makes a mistake on the frets? Every note is there, with fire and fury and gut wrenching power. Get down with your bad self Joe, you are the man, King Of The Living Blues. Fools only would try to out top him. Joe the man.

  • @moseseseseses: two simple words here: HELLLLLL YEAH!!!!!

  • zajebisty basista

  • Why on earth did he fire this band? Awesome rythmsection!!!

  • It's like being bathed in heavy cream... oh my.

  • WOW! Good on ya joe,

  • DONOTTAWAGUITAR

  • Joe is just taking the music past where he found it, that's all. I love his interpretation of this song. It sounds pretty damm great to me! Keep it up Joe!

  • ...kocham........

  • nice nice nice

    5 *****

  • Eric czar un vero mostro!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joe is one of my favorite newer guitarist his tone is awesome his band is tight he isn't the greatest singer but hey Hendrix wasn't either i wish he could have some commercial success i have never heard this guy on the radio i wish blues would become popular again today's music is really lacking players of this caliber

  • You can listen to some of his music on the British DAB Planet Rock radio station. As a matter of fact he is a presenter on the station aswell and it wasn't that long ago that the station was selling tickets early for some tour dates in the UK next year. If you are interested go to Planetrock(DOT)com

  • Yeah, I agree but you can't compare Bonamassa to Hendrix, anyway!! ;)

  • haiwan !!!! thats the best word to describe that guy ... he's a fucking guitar animal !!

  • agree. he is one of the best

  • MAN, Joe needs Eric back! That guy's as much of a bass monster as Joe is on a Les Paul!

  • who cares if he has a big chin, hes a grown ass man

  • what guitar strap is he useing

  • great cover but i still like jethro tull's original better

  • Superb performance: amazing guitar playing and almst incredible bass playing.

However, I still prefer the Tull version: maybe it's me being a bit stuck in a rut, but I don't particularly like the change in the tempo of the main riff.

Anyway, that's just me nitpicking a bit: I still think this is a fantastic performance,

  • If you like eric's bass playing check out 'had to cry today' (joe bonamassa). awesome!!!

  • WOW!!!!!

This is awesome.....Joe is such a great guitar player with unbelievable Tone....

  • i think the guy is great and i really lke his songs and hes very talented. but theres something about him that annoys me. ive only just realised that he has a large chin, which makes him look a little fish-like when he opens his mouth. and he has a bit of neck flab...

    apart from that hes brilliant!

  • Comment removed

  • lol !!!!

dont look at him then !!! lol !!

  • Are you serious? I can just imagine what you look like....

  • beautiful actually if you were wondering...

  • ohh....carry on then

  • so what points do you give on a sliding scale?

  • well highest point are awarded for those who can grate parmesan cheese with their feet. the scale goes from those who can grate the most cheese, to those who can't do this task. so i don't know what relevance this has to anything...sorry....

  • dobre

  • When I first heard the song, I had no idea he was singing. But after watching this...

He blew me away! Such talented guy he is!

  • This has always been one of my favourite riffs from back in the days. Tull always been a favourite, Stand Up a classic album, but you are right Joe owns this. What a riff!!!!

  • I like this version better than Jethro Tull's

  • hahaha his face at 5:50
