Satanism appeals to a demographic of young men - and some women, who have the IQ of 85 or less. It appeals to low income, unemployed boys who don't desire to accomplish much in this world, plus, it's a rebellion factor. They need to grow up, get a job.

And assuming it were true, wouldn't it be hard for them to grow up and get a job considering what they would need to learn to do so? Maybe you need them to find a use, but as far as they're concerned, with such a low IQ, their needs would be better met by lashing out at a society that has no use for them.

I know hundreds who left Norilsk for small towns somewhere in Central Russia or even hamlets in South Siberia and I know only few who did for Moscow or I don't know Beijing. Frankly, the reason isn't the poverty - the deathly horrible environment make 'em leave.
