when the lock was on it said card locked but i think ive broken it cause now it says 'card error' and underneath its like stripey. is that happening for a particular reason or is it just becuase i bit it after i got angry with it keep locking and i may of damaged it:/

Dont bite it anymore.To get rid of error try and format the card by right cliking on it in windows

@mandapril You need to just make sure gap is solid across because the way the card reader works. A little pin in the card reader drops into the groove on the SD card and causes it to be in lock mode .What we are trying to do is cover this groove completely to let it unlock. If the pin is aloud to drop into the groove area at all it will lock.Let me know if this helps.Try using a little more tape. Just be carfull not to put to much on or you might get card stuck in reader.
