This song is the reason I played Age of Conan. I would let it sit on the load screen repeating the song over and over before I actually played the game. Now that I have seen her and heard her voice live I am stunned at the accuracy, a tear rolled down my face for the first time in many years. She sings about bloody war on the battle field. The dancers are picts (whitened faces with blackened eyes). Their dancing symbolises warriors in the battle. Young girls in white clothes are beautiful for sure, but would have nothing to do with the song for they would imply peace. ;)

@Crustis You should try out the game again, they've experienced a 300,000 surge in population since July, 2011 when they became F2P. They've introduced a lot of new content including new pvp-dedicated servers. I'm hoping to get started soon too. They've also been smoothing out a lot of the former bugs.

"Old Norse" is not "old norwegian" - It's a mix of SCANDINAVIAN languages. Swedish and Danish is a part of that to [actually Iceland too, however not Finland - Alot of people get confused about that]. However all the Vikings were "sorta the same" if we got back, the main difference is that alot of Swedes and Norwegian Vikings went west to the UK, whilst other Danes and Swedes went east in to Russia.
