I saw Mehdi live last year. His set near the beginning of the night, you could tell he enjoyed playing his music. I'm not trying to be deep and poetic but he just was definitely enjoying life and music and his friends on stage. The way he joked around with P, the crowd and later Sebastian just showed me in a small way that he really was in his prime and a great, normal guy producing music with his friends. I remembered that image. This accident out of nowhere just shows how valuable life is. RIP

I found out about him from a Facebook status of Chromeo last night. So I searched for his tracks in youtube. I was listening to Signatune when I saw the comments. I just couldn't believe them so I googled him and all... I found out he was really gone. You can't imagine how bad I felt not knowing about this awesome producer while he was still alive. Such a loss of talent because of an accident like this... Now I'll make sure I pay him proper tribute and cherish the legacy he has left behind. RIP
