The only reason Penny became an avg player after '99 was his knee injury, and that, at the time, the microfracture surgery was still in it's infancy and players never were able to return to their former glory after said surgery. One thing I never liked about Hardaway tho, was his personality: wasn't meant to be a leader, seemed aloof and spearheaded a mutiny against his coach. Whatever, amazing talent, that sadly couldn't have a long career.
