  • adoroo demaiiz

  • i have to admit, as an arabic speaking israeli - i have lots of appreciation to Sarit, but she does pronounce realy REALY poorly the beautiful accents of the original song.. :/ she's mainly good at making the croud stand and applause for her..

  • this is overwhelming!!!! she's trying something but some idiots just close their eyes! look at the pictures on the screen... she's singing a song in arabic langauge! go sarit, the world, especially the middle east would be so much better if everyone would think like you!!!

  • يا كلبة لماذا تغني باللغة العربية ولكن تغني لتتحدثي جنس.

  • fuck you bitch ,

why do you sing in Arabic ? you bitch

  • @mirotlk you are a real idiotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mirotlk she sings in arabic and so she do it just for talk SEX.. Just look what jewess girls still think about.

  • @DaLynxfighta I know but it makes the Arabic language dirty

  • Sounds like she was in a rush when she was singing this. God Bless Om Kalthoum. BTW Israelis, Om Kalthoum supported the Palestinians and Gamel Abdel Nasser. Just an FYI

  • Sarit hadad has dual citizenship; she is arabic and israeli.

  • @90997ytrgfbjkhj

Sarit Hadad has only ISRAELI citizenship

  • @90997ytrgfbjkhj

Sarit Hadad has only ISRAELI. citizenship! & JEWISH.

  • israelis destory arab countries so naturally they must destroy arabic music. this was terrible. PALESTINE FOR LIFE!

  • ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!! Oum Kaltoum is the queen and her version is ten times stronger and better than Sarit Hadads. Palestinians do prefer Oum Kaltoum over any Jewish song. Sarits version of the song doesn't even make sense. its all gibberish. Isrealis are ten times worse. Nothing beats a Palestinian there more courage's than any Jewish Zionist.

  • well what can you say even the palestinians prefer this one!

  • THE GREEK VERSION( ΜΑΝΩΛΗ ΑΓΓΕΛΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ ΤΑ ΜΑΥΡΑ ΜΑΤΙΑ ΣΟΥ)

  • i miss israel kibbutz baram :(

  • ماشالله شعرفكم انتو بام كلثوم

    انت عمري مو انت عمغي

  • i love it!!! nice song and nice voice!! from a tunisian girl

  • Grand!!!

  • where is she from orgenly ,is she yemnita or arbick jew

  • Great song and interpretation, congratulations Sarit. Love from Lebanon.

  • There is another performance she did which is a quite different. This one is more traditional, and the other one is a little more personal, perhaps to her own tastes, maybe a little more modern. Personally I like both her renditions than Um Kulthuum's, no disrespect to her. It's just a matter of taste, and what you're used to. That is what art is all about: there is no accounting for taste is the saying. For good or for bad, no accounting for taste. Let's cut the crap about Israelis and Arabs.

  • Who is the idiot thatsays that this verios is better than the original. It is not bad, and different, but not better. I hope that he/she (E07Y) has good music ears :-)

And she does not pronounce the letters well. Come on guys, after 60 some years of occupation, and you are still learning? LOL

  • Who is the idiot thatsays that this verios is better than the original. It is not bad, and different, but not better. I hope that he/she (E07Y) has good music ears :-)

  • @zeitontech You IDIOT should READ and UNDERSTAND what I was saying and then come again and post shit, fuckaa!

  • נחמד מאוד

  • Lets just all enjoy the music. It's nice no matter what race or backround. Same goes for all.

  • nice video i like this video text me becuz i am sarit hadad neas bye

  • Palestine forever. Gaza: don't forget, don't forgive. Algerian Moors gate bigade !

  • I heard her do it another time, and it was must better. Maybe she improved it since. In any case, it doesn't match up at all to the original... no doubt about that...

  • she can't sing well in arabic,to think that she chose om Kolthom to cover??was she in her right mind??only 5 arabic women can sing professionaly all arab maqams:om kolthom;asmahan, fairouz, sabah & majda elroumi, why she wanted to cover om kolthom???she should cover Haifa, that's will suit her better!

  • Wow plp, it is not better that the original, why is she singing it now, if she didn't find the song so good and powerful when it was done such a long time ago by kulthum. she did the song well, plp should just love it for what it is and appreciate her for her tribute to her arab fans, not belittle arabs and/or jews. bravo to Sarit for honoring kulthum mashallah.

  • SARIT ERES ASOMBROSA!!! I love your songs!! God blessed you with this amazing voice!

  • She doesn't pronounce the sounds correctly...like Dalida or Julio Iglesias when they sing in French....she doesn't seem to know when to stress and vowels.... So to write she's better the original.....no need to comment! She has a cold but nice voice....she sings better in Hebrew.

  • beautiful arabic song

  • at 2:10 she says a compliment to the players that play the music - some of the players are Turkish musicians that came especiealy to the show os Sarit

  • nice

  • morocco we love u sarit ^^

  • israelis do everythin better than arabs? sarits version is better than the original one?! you guys must be on crack or somethin... how can you say stuff like that? ... this video is about sarit and not about jews vs. arabs or who does it better... i swear you kill me with that bullshit. always the same thing!

  • @E07Y your crazy not singing and dancing thats in our blood maybe looks

  • @mouradnrd WHAT THE FUCK? DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID? God... You fools are ridiculous!

  • @E07Y i know huh, I'm Jewish but i also love Arabian music alot.

  • @E07Y now i believe that you didn't hear the original song

  • @2020volcano why dont u READ and TRY to understand MY COMMENT. It is not about who is singing it better... DAMN!!!! Why cant you JUST ENJOY this version.... Good lord!!!!

  • @E07Y U r absolutely right! What I love with artists is that. Oum Kalsoum hated Israel, and Sarit is singing her song with pride! Artists are amazing bcuz their music has no limits! They sing what they feel, and not what they have to! People should take example from this. Two artists can hate each other and at the same time love their talents! They don't care about political issues. Go on Sarit, we r proud of u!

  • @hadarper22 Thank you!!! At least you understood what I was saying...

  • @E07Y Oh yes! And I wish everyone did

  • She is absolutely amazing in any language.Sarit I am a big fan and I think you have contributed so much to our music and your songs are timeless .

  • What is she saying at 2:16 ?

  • name of the band player or something

  • love your voice,love your smile,love YOU sarit ! :-)

  • Sarit, tu es la plus belle!!!

  • i love you sarit,ur the best.

  • poor idiot, you are so full of hate that you can t recognize the beauty of a voice or song, if you talk of shit, you should have to clean your dirty mouth, ignorant!

  • You people are trying to put things and people in a "box" so as to feel comfortable. Seriously, who looks like what? Not all "Jews" are semitic as the semites came from Shem. Abraham was a shemite but not the Ashkenazim (even though they are obviously Jews as well) for they came from Ashkenaz like Japhet or the other. I'm Sephardic, now do I look "mid-eastern"? No. Anyway haShalom aleichem to everyone.

  • אז אתה צאצא של יפת גם ? ספרדי, לא?

    איזה שטויות

  • Hello. I live in America and since I'm not Hasidic I'm not conversant with the Hebrew alphabet. Please translate. Either into English, Italian, Ladino, Portugese, or maybe French. Sorry that I couldn't read your response but you obviously read and write English (since you replied to my English comment) so please translate. Thanks.

  • ואווו יפה!!!

  • She seems to be lacking in pronunciation and natural linguistic flow, but has a very strong and adorable voice. The orchestra is perfect with touches of many a shrill, tingling and shrieking sounds due to a variety of instruments, belonging to Arabic cultural and musical heritage. Very interesting and attractive video. Thanks Radda for sharing.

  • She is native Juhuri (Persian) and Hebrew speaker, so she doesn't exactly sing like native arabic speaker (like Ishtar).

  • Middle Eastern instruments are just as much Jewish as Arabic...who really knows who invented which one etc... Does it matter? Both are old cultures and indigenous to the region. Rememebr Music was a BIG deal to many sons of Israel (King David and many ) and an integral part of the worhsip at the Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem by the Levites (sons of Levy) who served there along side the Cohenim (The Priestly tribe).

  • Sarit speaks Hebrew daily and probably only has a limited vocabualry of Arabic from her parents or grandparents.

  • I appreciate your comment and agree with your point of view.

  • Her Arabic isn't perfect, she has a strong accent and she couldn't pronounce the ein-letter. But it's good. She is a good singer!

  • I'm sure she's a good singer, but her Arabic is far from perfect. I'm not so sure she understands what the words in the lyrics mean since she often puts the stress on teh wrong syllabi.

  • She is from Azerbajan (Former USSR)

    Her Arabic is pefect too.

    She pronounce the 'R" properly.

  • SARIT ... great performance

  • Nice song from Sarit.

She looks like a lebanese singer?

    Maybe her roots from Lebanon..?

    thank you very much..

  • her real name is Sara Hodedtov and yes she looks like a lebanese, and there are some jews who looks like lebanese !!

  • some jews look like Lebanese?

Lebanese, Kurds, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Jews, Druze all look very alike - we are middle eastern nations. Armenians, Circassians, Anatolians and greeks also look very similar to us. Pure arabs from arabia look different, many mixed arabs look similar to us too.

  • yes!!! is true :) im agree with u

from what country you are? :)

  • הנני ישראלי

  • hehehe..yes i saw in your profile after asking it !

    :)

  • Chaldeans are Assyrian. The modern day so called "chaldens" were assyrians but were converted to Catholics they named their church

church of babylon then later on Chaldean.

    Ancient chaldeans are extinct.

  • Yes i know that modern chaldean christians are not the Chaldeans of the past. But Chaldeans are not extinct - i'm a chaldean, and so are all jews. Jews are a tribe from chaldean origin. Many Iraqis also come from chaldeans, but they forgot it long ago.

  • manish ma sarit.hello from croatia

  • One of the best Israeli singers, today!!!

  • wow ! thank for music .. its um kalthum from egipt

    the music ***** stars !!!

  • her singing is a bit contrived, but i give her credit for courage to sing an oum kalsoom song.

  • forget ths shit

  • Oh!!!!!! wow, this song is as beautiful as the Greek version. And i enjoy her singing. Well done.

  • KHUDO U AKBAR !

    KAVKAZ JUHURO POWER !

  • "KHUDO U AKBAR" is wrong,

"KHUDO KELEYI" is the right one :)

  • TU JUHUR ?

  • Ari

  • KHOSH OMODI

  • Comment removed

  • KHUDO U AKBAR = KHUDO KELEYI

  • kakoi akbar nahren? :)

  • That is the spirit.

    bravo man.

  • Great cover of one of the greatests, Oumm Kolthoum.

Bravo 3aleyké ya Sarit !! To those criticizing her Arabic, I'd like to see you doing the same in Hebrew.

Am Yisrael khay, ta3eysh Filasteen w salaam beyn el sha3beyn.

    A.

  • Youre my life, Youre my life Which morning starts with your light Which morning starts with your light You are, you are, you are my life Youre much worth than my days Youre lovelier than my days Take me tenderly, take me Far away from this presence Far, far You and I ah Far, far, just us alone Where our days wake up on love And where our nights sleep on passion
  • Your eyes brought me back

    To my past days

They taught me how to regret

    The past and its wound

    What Ive seen

    Before my eyes saw you

    My life was lost

How could they count it on me

  • There you go again, you are a jew or you are an arab. Is there a diffrence . Two Ideology that meant to improve man life for a better future.

  • J'aime bien cette chanteuse, moi qui suis magrebine j'aime ce quelle fait!!!! elle a une tres jolie voix,.

  • There is a biggggggggg difference between jew's and zionist!!!!

according to you if you live in ''israel'' you are a zionist right? So every body born in ''israel'' is automaticly a zionist? and the Palistinians living within ''isreal's'' borders are also zionists?

You have just revealed to all of us that you are a complite idiot and realy don't know what you are talking about!!

  • Why are you giving this ridiculus answer?

I am sorry u must be a child. I thought i was talking to a grown person with some commonsence!

  • Hahaha u r funny!!

    try looking in a atlas between 948 - 1948!

Anyway i am not out to hurt anybody's feelings just the historic facts!

    Salaam!

  • There were 2 jewish states one called: judea and one in the north of palastine called Israel better known as the shadow state!! anyway those states only ruled for 400 years afetr that and befour that the country was rulled by others! so u are wrong :-)

  • wow those guys are really open minded that they like to hear Arabic songs... I can't imagine what will happened if an Arab singer sing in Hebrew!!

    Shalom for all!

  • תותחית והלקה בכלללללל

  • Well done Sarit Haddad !!! this version is much more beautiful than the original old fashionned OMM Kalthoom . Her arabic is very good and she didn't kill the song but added her personal touch.

  • she is actually talented artist ,, god bless her i love her from deep of my heart

  • תותחית השרית חדד הזאת :]

הייתי משלם הרבה כדי להיות בהופעה הזאת

  • she did'nt sing the song , she killed it i mean by killed it not on tha positive way, but she is singing it all off tune..

she should'nt sing that song because its to hard for her , but tha music is nice

  • Dosen't matter where her parents came from what matters is where she came from and where she was born.

  • Guys stop complaining where she is from she is Jewish she was born in Israel she is ISRAELI HEBREW and JEWISH.

  • איזה תותחית

  • ביאנלה בבת ים עם הפילהרמונית... או שטעיתי?????? חבל שלא הלכתי...אוף

  • is song arabic. from oumkeltum.

    y viva el arabes

  • Leila Mourad (who was half Iraqi Jewish and half Polish-Ashkenazi but born in egypt), Salima Mourad Pasha (the songbird of Baghdad, who is Leila Mourad's cousin) Filfil Gourgy (Iraq), The Kuwaiti Brothers (Iraq but left to Israel after Jews were stripped of their citizenships) to name a few. In fact, in Baghdad, Jews dominated the music industry....In any case, Bravo Sarit!!!

  • I've heard that over half of the musicians in Iraq in the early 20th century were Jewish.

  • You heard wrong 99 percent were jews

  • sholoborx,

That was originally a reply to someone else's comment. Anyways, 99% is still more than half. Makes for a pretty good Jewish stereotype in my book. :)

  • wonderful! For those criticizing her pronunciation, Arabic is not even her mother tongue. And no she's not Arab, her family is from the Caucasus mountains (Daghestan, Azerbaijan..etc) Can't say many Arab artists show their appreciation of Israeli Hebrew music or even realize how much Jews who used to live in the Arab world before they were expelled contributed to the development of what we call classical Arabic music.

  • you stupid bitches she not irakian not moroconian she kavkazian jew from mahachkala, dagestan not azerbaijan or irakkkkk

  • I can tell you one thing only ZAIN BATAHAT LAARAVIM

    SHMA YISRAEL ELOHEI

  • kavkazit shelanu !!!

  • It is good to see Israelis who appreciate Arab culture. I hope Arabs would do the same with Israeli culture.

  • good version

  • Sarit Hadad born in Israel. her parents born in Caucasus in the old city Derbent( Dagestan)

her real name is Sara Hodedatov! she took pseodonim Hadad wich is old semitic name(Levant)... Hadad(Baal) was pagan god.

    she is my cousin btw!

Inta Omri originally performed by the greatest egyptian singer Oum Coultum in the 50's!

    Peace!

    Salam!

    Shalom!

  • the text in the background is an ayah from al Quran, why is it over there ????

were they googling Arabic calligraphy without even known the content of it !!!!

  • lol what?! I think you're crazy.

  • i love you

  • hahahahaaha right back at you

  • And if you're referring to the music by Sarit Hadad, it is indeed quality Arabic music. She does a good job however she's not better than the elite Arab musicians. Look up Fairuz, Um Kalthoum, Sabah, or the Rahbani troupe and you'll see Arabs showcasing their own culture absolutely perfectly that no non-Arab could ever capture. It saddens me when I come upon videos like this so elated to see coexistence like this and then reading comments like "Israelis do everything better than Arabs."

  • And for the record I love Sarit Hadad, I think she's an amazing artist.

  • No I think I understood you just perfectly. As an Arab, your comments offend me and are not supportive of coexistence. There's no such thing as "I do this better." If you like Israeli falafel that's fine by me, I'm sure I'd like it too. But I would never say that my Lebanese Falafel is worse or better. That's just immature.

  • I love Sarit Hadad. BTW her actual last name is Hodedtov. Anywayz yeah my dad says she's from Tunisia or Yemen, one of those country. To justinelhillow I agree totally with what you say. My next door neighbours and the ppl across the road from me are both muslim families and they are like family to me.

  • Sarit hi kavkazit, ze perush shehi mekavkaz - Azerbajan.

  • מה אתה גנוב שרית חדד משפחה שלי היא לא אזרבייג'נית היא דגסטנית דרבנטית אורגינלית בירור מה

    kavkaz powerrrrr

    אוהבים תך שרהההה

  • uma mize? ata ma? hasug shel ga'avtanim?

  • why can't we just enjoy each others' cultures? Why does everything have to be about stealing and competing?

  • ya keep stealing hestory

  • hi ru very very nice and u have nice voice best song thx

  • I love this song i wish she coulda finished it. her voice is soo beautiful, in hebrew and in arabic. Im an arab, but i love my hebrew brothers and sisters too bad we live in a world of hate.

  • zehava ben: inta omri...

i think this is better then sarit, but i love sarit:)

  • Beautiful! One of the best renditions of this song I've ever heard.

  • Ish she a arab or a israely ??? Usualy is hadad a arabic name

  • she is israeli

  • She is Caucasian

  • She belongs to a small division of eternal Jewish people - Qavkazim (Juhuro)- helek halako shel Yisrael Sabba, veinru amen.

  • How can she be caucasian with a last name like "Hadad"? Hadad means one who works with metal, or one who decides what's exact..

Her last name is absolutely Arab! She must have Yemeni roots..

  • thats her pseudoname

  • According to Wikipedia (they know EVERYTHING) her original name was (C)hodedtov.

  • And what ive sad Caucasian is from KAVKAZ

    She is mountain jew (Tatka)

  • Her original name was (C)hodtov, she changed it to (C)hadad.

  • thank U

    toddah rabba

    merci !!!

  • Her voice is wonderful but she still cannot pronounce the arabic words correctely despite she is Arabian origins ... that's weird<
