  • Thats the way Rener Gracie does the super lock

  • I was looking for this - my satin belt is always coming apart! This method will get a go next week. Thanks for that :)

  • Where exactly do you tie the belt across the navel area or below it, like right above the waist?

  • @newlevel25 - The belt knot represents an area of the body that the Japanese call the Tanden. It's three finger width below the navel. The Japanese believe this is the physical, emotional, and spiritual center of the body. In karate, it's considered the power source of our karate techniques.

  • Our ways of tying the belt was proper very nice the way it holds together in your tutorial keeps gi clean and less loose Domo

  • thanks for the helpfull vid:)

  • the superlock tie may be able to withstand martial arts traning, But it comes instantly off when a chick gives you a blow ;D

  • Just so you know sensei, I will be tying my belt like that from now on! Thanks for the video!

  • was better if you take yallow or light blue belt so we can see better :(

  • this is also good, but if you need a rest (fix your belt!!!) - no chance !

I like it anyway, because perfect!

  • @mossemer - LOL! Yes, I can't count how many times. I used tightening the belt as an excuse for a breather.

  • ...from the Gracie Belt Tie video...Don't be afraid to say it.

  • @rjphil007 - I fully gave them credit in the info and annotations. I found out later that this is a common judo knot.

  • lol man i saw your throwing card tutorial and now i see you having a black belt i was like wtf

  • I dont know how to do it can you break it down more please?

  • And I think peple laugh because my big booty sticks out :( :( :( its not funny

  • wtf

  • Im in taekwondo but I get imbarrassed because we have to running drills and I feel like people laugh at me because I got a big head :(

  • It bothers me because I am a stickler for tradition but one ofmy students' belt is always falling off.. He ties it well.. I find myself tying it for him so it is super tight and it still falls off.. Just how he is I guess.. I'm going to try this with him maybe it will work. Super cool thanks osu

  • that bastard broke the belt code

  • @kinishiteruyo - HaHa! The belt code... I was aware of the belt code, just wanted it to stop untying all the time.

  • @trosanelli and I suppose you wash it also!

  • @trosanelli and I suppose you wash it also!

  • @trosanelli Actually, this version is a Judo knot. It is common among grappling and throwing arts.

  • @osensei2987 - Thanks for the info. That makes sense since I learned it from a Gracie Jiu Jitsu video. I didn't realize this was common in Judo circles. Very Interesting! It's amazing what you can learn from other styles of martial arts.

  • @kinishiteruyo a belt is just a belt...the persons worthy is the most important thing :D sorry for my english

  • OSU !! THANKS ALOT

  • my mma coach does that but i havent gotten my first belt though but is it comfortable wearing it in exercises and warmups

  • you're the first person i have seen to tie their belt like me. i hate it when it crosses over at the back. people often say im doing it wrong your way but i think it looks much neater! :)

  • Very nice video thank you sir

  • Awesome! Thanks!

  • Great idea but if you dont mind me asking but why is your uniform so plain ?

  • @DhatGirlNana - I'm a simple guy and like to keep my uniforms all white without any patches.

  • Thanks so much for this video. I'm going to try this on my 6 yr. old grand daughters belt.

  • @mairzydoats15 - Thanks. I use it on kids in class who's belt become untied all the time.

  • @TheMan74131 I sleep with mine for a few days and it loosens up from me rolling on it. If you believe your belt is sacred and needs to be bowed to, this won't work for you. If you think it's a piece of cloth that keeps your gi closed, it works fine.

  • Tap 7 to watch him pull it tight.

  • nice

  • That's a really neat idea.
