  • I bought the retail Mac OSX 10.6 DVD and did the exact things as specified, until I got stuck at the boot, and I end up with the lines "EBIOS read error: Error 0x03 Block 0x18a96a Sectors 0". What's going on?

  • @gabpod Yes, google it, and get the download from virtualboxes's website.

  • well i cant get iboot because i have to log in to tonymacsx86 site but it wont let me sing up or anything i couldnt even find it on demonoid so im winging it again for the 100th tim

  • When i launch mac os from iboot I always get "You need to restart your computer." but when i do the same thing happens again.

  • I enabled virtualzation, got it set up, now it's taking forever to boot up!

  • @TheJoshuaPenland i did, torrented both Lion and leopard

  • I cant get the Mac OS Retail DVD its 30$

  • do yo get garaage band ?

  • @Jamalsish No, doesn't come with Snow Leopard atleast. Maybe Lion?

  • @Jamalsish Just torrent iLife and install it separately that gives you iMovie, Garage Band, iWeb and even iDVD

  • @video45000 how can u install i life when its run on a virtual ?

  • @Jamalsish Either burn the ilife dvd file and tell the virtual machine to use the dvd drive and install from mac OSX or just select the .iso file of ilife and tell the virtualization software to use that as a dvd drive.

  • I have HP DC7700 Unable to install OSX On Virtual BOX :(

  • Get you can't speak or what very low sound.

  • @184airboy you can. Goto developer.apple.com, Sign up, goto the mac dev center, and download it.

  • @robbie0630 Mac Dev program 100$ / yr, Buy Mac Lion at App Store 29 $ - which is better deal? Dunno it I'm serious into developing something on Lion (yet ;-)

  • @visitsb12 I need help I just bought the mac OSX cd and when I go to the choose a virtual cd/dvd disk file I cant find the Mac os iso like you have at 2:29 what do I do?

  • @MrLoekanle If you have Mac OS DMG, you need to use some other Mac PC to burn this as ISO. Other options are to try out torrents, which have Retail DVD ready as ISO. I think your Mac OSX CD by default is DMG recognizable by Apple computer.

  • @visitsb12 how do I convert what I have into a ISO because I dont want to waste 30 dollars

  • @visitsb12 thanks I got It

  • @visitsb12 ok thank you. I am hoping I can also get lion as an ISO but I dont think I will have any such luck

  • ok, I am confused, can someone please tell me how to make an iso of the snow leopard? I know noob question

  • @184airboy

If you have Mac OS DMG, you need to use some other Mac PC to burn this as ISO.

Other options are to try out torrents, which have Retail DVD ready as ISO.

  • Por lo menos está instalando!!! Saludos!

  • @hulipill Thats stupid /:

  • I don't get a spinning wheel on mine. Please help

  • @Pokemonfan809

I believe you are talking when shutting down the VM? Or are you stuck at the very first installation step?

  • @visitsb12 At the very first step

  • @Pokemonfan809 I think this could be bad DVD disc or ISO image you are trying to use into the Virtual Machine. The hardware might be an issue, though I strongly advise you to checkout tonymacx86's iboot+mac os tutorial as this covers many similar issues.

  • @visitsb12 could it be possible because i'm using an AMD Dual Core 2.7GHZ Processor?

  • @Pokemonfan809 I believe the Mac OS instructions required Intel based PC. AMD might not be supported by Mac installer.

  • @visitsb12 I'm also stuck at the first step. (aka no spinning wheel....) Any Solutions?

  • @GMMc27

When you plug-in your iPhone, or iPod, or iPad to VM, VirtualBox first asks you to install a generic VirtualBox USB driver. After you install the driver, you need to restart your VM, and your machine. Thereafter you can connect your device, and it successfully starts iTunes.

I have used it to manage my iPhone, and iPad for development too.

    Have a nice day!

  • how the hell do i connect my iphone to this. It doesnt recognise it

  • where is the link... :(

  • @nickomaru1

Update the description for required links. HTH.
