  • thanks!!

  • 2 parts of sensors?? i have only 1?

  • How did h fuck it up? All he has to do is remove tape? People are so fucking dumb.

  • why would you fuck a perfectly good foot pedal from a real drum set up so you can play a game? you can always buy another rock band pedal for around $20 or $25

  • lol some scotch tape

  • whats that song called ?

  • @BlueTiger368 ...And Justice for All by Metallica.

  • soo i have to buy a foot pedal real 1 waaat where i'm guna buy 1

  • @nathan420blunt ebay. I got one for £13.00 (about $7.00)

  • mine broke last week i waz playin blood and thunder on gh metallica.lol.i just use a roll of tape..

  • @nathan420blunt

Lol mine broke on the same song on expert + to omg that song is totally cursed dude

  • poop

  • dude.....thank you so so much, I broke 4 pedals already and this should be awesome!

  • tbh you would have to be qwuite rough to break the pedal mine's lasted about 6 months...

  • get a tripod

  • My Rock Band drum pedal broke. But the cord came out of it & i dunno how -_- Idk what ta dooo

  • @JosieTaylorr resolder the cable, shouldn't be hard

  • Nice screws!...the same as mine!

  • How much would da real drum pedal cost?

  • @jolietsk8erboy98 Cheapest on rockbandparts is around $20.00

  • Sock mod FTW

  • i can't get the sensor out. what can i do?

  • the bitch was getting the damn magnet out!

  • THIS I RUBBISH STUPID AND SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO RUBISH RUBISH RUBISH

  • @drak0740 not even a wiggle down there

  • Ok look everyone! If you cant find the screws leading to the sensor... send me a pm and ill put up a video if i get enough comments.

  • How do you open it if there are no screws or should i just saw it open :P :L

  • get ions???

  • yeah i almost snapped my first one then i had it reinforced with metal and then i had another pedal with my newer rockband drums i put in rockband 2 played then demo version of not alone by All That Remains and 'bam' a massive crack in my pedal so yes i'm definitely going to do this at some point

  • I was able to score a DW 7000 (used) for $25 off ebay, its like a $150 new. FTW!!! Some extra reed switches, mono jack and some rare earth magnets from RadioShac - $8.35, 30mins of my life. Now my 300lbs buddy can go nuts on the bass pedal and I dont have to worry. Paying $120 for rock pedal or destroyer is retarded. This so much cheaper and works extremely better than that stock piece of horse crap. The only downfall is that I've spent like 2hrs adjusting the pedal to my liking.

  • You can fix it easier by taking a shitty flip flop and taping it to the foot pedal.

  • i made a pedal like this but i put the sensor on the base of the pedal and the magnet on the foot board and also put a bunch of rubber discs to make a stopper for the pedal

  • Why there are no screws under my pedal, the sensor underneath? :( I Cant open it

  • @MultiDJpatrick if you really want to know how, pm me and ill put up a video on it... it took me a while to figure it out but i know how to do it

  • Nice vid, i will try it later

  • thanks dude i have a world tour drum pedal (not stock) i bought it off of rock band parts and my wt drums broke so i got a rb2 drum set and pedal broke within 3 days... and glad i didnt throw it away :) and it works fine like u said :) im still trying to figure out where to put the magnet but i think i have it now i just have to adjust the pedal its self

  • do you think this will work with a rock band 1 sensor with a rock band 2 drumkit?

  • @Pl0xor yes

  • This is all nice, thanks. It helped me to get started. I didn't have real pedal, so instead I inserted my rb sensor to my guitar hero pedal, and it works really good. Damn easy to fix it that way. Now my gh pedal is for both gh and rb. And imo gh pedal is better than rb pedal, because the latter needs to be stamped ridiculously hard.

  • The two silver screw doesn't seem to be on the RB2 stock, how do you get the sensor from that?

  • SUCKED fuckin doesnt work

  • sticking the magnet on the pedal and the sensor on the bottom was ridiculous. This dude is doing it the right way. I spent 21/2 hrs originally and two more days tweeking the alignment. Even went out to get more magnets. never really worked that great.

Then I switched it around. Magnet on bottom and sensor attached to pedal. took less than 5mins to get it working perfectly using only the original magnent. Double, triple, quadruple bass hits no fucking problem!

  • i did this and my pedal just double hitted...

  • no meu país isso que você fez se chama "gambiarra", principalmente a parte dos pedaços de meias nos pads

    da bateria.

  • @ymnl brasileiro eh f0da meu :D

  • Thank u alot

  • cool

  • is this better than the rock pedal or destroyer pedal?

  • the rock pedal.

  • that sucked

  • Mine worked:D

  • im having a problem getting the sensor out, there seems to be a thin layer of rubber on it. i ripped it and little plug things came out, but the sensor cover did not come loose, and i cant get the rubber off enouph to see if there are any screws, any suggestions?

  • Gotta q, what if I have rb1 drums and I don't have screws where the sensor is? Can I push it out?

  • @jmhardy5 yep i did it to :D

  • will this be the exact same for the band hero drums?

  • yea

  • not even close

  • I had two footpedals but threw one of them away>:(

  • lol this is not your fault AT ALL

but i tried to put it in my ghwt pedal -which was already broken : / -but i ended up cracking the sensor and screwing the thing up

so healthy tip for everyone, make sure u do not let ur bass pedal squish the sensor!!! and have the magnet secured really well or else it might come out

  • My sound silly, but will the sensor break, if your double hitting the magnet with it like mad?

  • no the sensor wont break unless u have the sensor in a bad spot where it will get squished.

(read my other comment and u will see another way it will crack)

  • Ah I see thanks

  • LOL!!! i've seen this video like ages ago, and did my own pedal...i've actually got the same pedal...LOL...but used a closed magnet reed switch and placed it on the side like on the destroyer, and it works awesome

  • works i yesterday broke my pedal and just found this so IT WORKS AND GOOD!!

Better than destroyer if you ask me

  • I have the same pedal but i dnt have the screws for somereason

  • thanks for the info i tryd and i works i made a video showing that i works and you can check it out please

  • For the placement of the censor is it green side facing the magnet or tan side with the lightbulb?

  • i can't get out the magnet with the pliers lmao XD. whatever i'll keep trying.

  • i took a screwdriver to mine.

my placement is very similar to this one but my pedal has bars on it and i have the magnet on that (bottom) and the sensor is above that but under the pedal where ur foot goes.

thanks for the instructions, mine works perfect :D

  • This vid inspired me to mod my pedal in this way, and as a result, Rock Band 2 has become MUCH more playable with this mod and the Ion kit. Thanks, XCRP21

  • yah it might be better to put the sensor on the bottom but i`m sure it would work fine besides there is no need to be mean. its a preatty video. the thing i like is you put a white sheet on the table so you can acually see it , another video i watched it was night, the lighting on the camra was bad, and he had dark carpet

  • surely put the sensor on the bottom plate and the magnet on the pedal itself given that the sensor has a wire attached to it that could pull it off.

  • i have issues with my connection port on my drums but i also need a whole new pedal and i have 2 rock band pedals, a gh pedal, and a real drum pedal. this seems like a simple process and ur the only one with a video that i can find O_O u would think there would be millions

  • My Pedal doesnt have the screws to get to the sensor, is there any other way to get to it?

  • The screws should probably be under the arched rubber things if they aren't visible. You'll have to pull those off to get to the screws. (mine was like this too) For som reason though, if yours is anything like mine, the sensor is attached to the pedal with some plastic Posts that you'll have to carefully cut or saw off, and not break the sensor.

  • If it doesn't have the screws the plate can be pulled off if yours is like mine, i yanked and it came of lol :D

  • can't u connect a electric drum pedal and sensors for this just unplug or buy a electrc drum pedal and plug it in the rock bnad drums shouldn't it work

  • wouldnt it be better to increase the sensintivity to have two sensors

  • the way i set mine up is sensors on the bottom and the megnet underneath the pedal

  • i have a double bass pedal for my electric drum set and i don't get if i would only need one sensor, since i have two rock band pedals or would i need two??

  • this is an awesome custom pedal and everything but if i were u and i used scotch tape i would think of taking off the scotch tape and replacing it with electrical tape

  • ok it was like double hit centeral

  • can you put tape over the magnet so it doesent break or fall off

  • Got mine working SO THX VERY MUCH!!! also got pulse pedal for $4.25 on ebay lol!!!!!!!!!!

  • do you take out the magnet and sensor with the rock band 1 pedal the same way you take it out with the rock band 2 pedal?

  • lol nice niggerrigged tape job

  • stfu

  • i don't have the silver screws either....

tell me what i need to do....

  • I have the same kick pedal :D

    Thanks.

  • dude! I don't have any silver screws.. how do i do??!!

  • that is the crappiest sock mod i think i've ever seen... great video though =)

  • just do it if you play real drums and use your real pedal thats what i did

  • the sensor i can see it but i cant take it out because the screws are melted is there any possible way to get it out without taking out the screws?

  • smash the cover?

  • i made mine with a dvd case...=)

  • ye thats all good but i don't have a spare pedal lying around, were not all drummers. and for anyone that says "Buy a real pedal then" why not just buy a new friggin pedal?

  • real kick pedal wont break a week after you buy it..

  • @leeb7415 not if u actually play rock band... lmao

  • @leeb7415

A real drummer won't smash the fucking pedal. Just saying.

  • search a guitar center dumpster...

  • i don't have any screws at the senscor.. it's glued together.. should i brake it ?

    Sorry for bad english..

  • where is the screws?? i have XBox 360 kit and i cant find any black or silver screws.. plz help!

  • if you look where the half circles are that go over the metal bars, there should be some rubber/plastic.remove those. there should be two screws in holes. remove those than hit the bottom of the sensor holder. there is the sensor. it comes out easily.

  • Thank you so much dude, you're awesome.

  • i got the rubber thingys out, and i unscrewed the screws. what do you mean by hit the bottom of the sensor holder?

  • forget that. do you see the wire that goes into the kit. right near that there is an area you can clearly see a square or rectangle. try getting that out.

  • i think he means that when u put the sensor on make sure the magnet is below it and because its a magnet it will pick up the hit but it doesnt have to hit the magnet just has to get close

  • where is the screws?? i have XBox 360 kit and i cant find any black or silver screws.. plz help!

  • it is 2 black screws underneath the pedal in the (clamp) . and the 2 others is under the black (stoppers) on the top pedal:) hope it helps

  • looks like a peace kick pedal

  • awesome!

  • how much are real pedals ?

  • real pedals can be up to 280$ but some are less than 100$:D

  • you could try looking it up. try musiciansfriend. You can get a cheap one for like...20 dollars maybe. I don't knowif id recommend it though

  • 40-60 bucks

  • you can hear the "click" noise of the sensor when the magnet its in the right position for closing the circuit, its a very soft sound, but helps a lot for checking the right position

in fact you can build a compatible rockband pedal with those home security alarm sensors, its the exactly same mecanism :-)

  • yo thks so much man it work.. hahahaha..

  • mine iz ps3.. is it the same? N i cant find any silver srew? wer the hell iz it..

  • Were the Bar Went there is like a black piece of rubber there so get a thin knife or a small flat head screw driver and take it off and there are screws(black)

  • i cant find any silver screws! whatt should i do to get the sensor???

  • Were the Bar Went there is like a black piece of rubber there so get a thin knife or a small flat head screw driver and take it off and there are screws(black)

  • hey i cant find the black screws

  • how much does a decent drum pedal cost? how much did yours cost?

  • Man thank buddy i use my drum pedal and it works perfectly :D

  • i REAL one $75-96

  • where are the two screws on the black thing i cant find em

  • why aren't rockband foot drum pedals sold separatedly??

i'm one of the cases of a broken foot pedal!

    and there are many cases!

i got a lot of buds who are in owr cases too and why haven't rockband designers thought about selling rockband foot pedals??

they wpuld become millionaire and save some lifes lol! i mean some beats!

  • go to any gamestop. i just bought a new metal one yesterday.

  • can you use another kind of magnet?

  • great mod. much more simple than most i've seen. and just a note to everyone, so you dont break the sensor, the magnet does not need to directly be touching the sensor. it only needs to get near it.

  • mine only has 1 magnet

  • can rock band 2 drum pedals be used for guitar hero world tour? My world tour pedal broke and I wanted something better to use.

  • I would recommend that you place the sensor in a fixed position, and the magnet under the pedal because if you put your sensor in a moving position (like under the pedal) the wires will bend and eventually break. Cool video... thanks a lot for sharing.

  • i posted on the video that i later switched the positions of the magnet and sensor, plus it also says on the vid description...

  • no offence but your sock mod kind of looks crappy, lol jk nice vid it ttly works

  • Hey, Im looking at my drum pedal its from like the release drums for RB 1 and I cant see the screws Im thinking that they are covered by this rubber crap? I cant really get it out were they for you? Or anyone Else?

  • I found the screws :D

  • If you have ions its a different imort could i get that import at radion shack and put it on the rock band wire?

  • hey, my pedal hasnt broke yet, but if it does i will definately use this method. thanks!

  • My pedal is snapped at the hinge, but where the sensor is, there is no screws... How can i get it open?

  • the bottom of the kick pedal where you have those 2 indents for keeping the pedal in place there should be 2 screws

  • thanks bro Justice for All

  • Lol thanks this really works! But my pedal is too big for the drumset lol but thanks!

  • Does it still work fine? Im doing it tomorrow.

  • Lol no i tried it but when i taped the sensor it kept going off and now its broken (one wire wen't off :())

So i can't use it anymore but whatever my drumset was destroyed anyways

  • no...

  • works for me except I put the magnet on the pedal and the sensor on the bottom. I put a little plastic cover over the sensor so the pedal doesn't hit it

  • this video was awesome man! u explained everything man THANK U!

  • i needed this. thanks for putting this up dude

  • Did you tape down the magnet?

  • my rockband pedal broke the exact same way urs did, lol

  • The wired part should not be on the moving part if you ask me. You should try instead to put the wired part at the bottom of the pedal and the magnet on the base. I'm pretty sure the wires won't hold up.

  • It says in the desc.

  • what song is that

  • and justice for all

  • ...And Justice For All by Metallica

  • AND JUSTICE FOR ALL

  • AnD jUsTiCe FoR aLl

  • Hm, i might just buy a new real bass pedal just to mod it, even though my stock RB pedal works fine :P

    Great video!

  • ok so when I put it apart.. the sensor only responses when you plug it in the drum set what did I do wrong??

  • this video helped me alot im gonna mod my own now lol

  • Doesn't that "Destroyer Pedal" come with the magnet?

  • i fixed mine with tape and a metal ruler

  • Keep it simple :D

  • what brand bass pedel did u use

  • can u give me the exact model of your bass pedal?

    GREAT VIDEO

  • i dont know if they are under some rubber

  • i cant find the screws of my rock band pedal

  • if u are playing on ps3/ps2 there wont be, same thing happend to me
